@@robertabella1806 For Coco it's because she was still learning japanese, she's more fluent, and she also took singing lesson, so it's probably why. But as for Suisei, you can clearly heard they are still the same person behind, idk how people could think other way lmao. Also she have a character only her can do.

@@Meonium Her Debut one is actually higher than her usual current one, but its not that significant unlike Suisei. I'm guessing its really just the fact that from high-pitch to low-pitch can cause alot of people feels like "huh, she sounds different". Tbf, its not like Risu does not encounter that but she just put it as Ayunda.
The "person inside" is the japanese term for the voice actresses behind the characters so it's funny how Suisei twisted the term. Also, she is probably the one with the least information about her so it's even funnier.

@@Wolfoso I can see what they were trying to do, it's a _lot_ of work for one person, there was already Black and copies/variations can work well with the whole AI thing. I think it could have gone alright, but it was handled badly - It wasn't communicated properly and people ended up feeling confused and betrayed. Some people still won't believe that it's back to just Kizuna again.
@@Wolfoso its kinda sad but in the end, they were pretty much just preserving the character "Kizuna Ai" that she is. after all the entertainment and pioneering Vtubers, it is all business at the end of the day.

Funnily enough, there are other members showing "signs" as robots. Like, Ame shutting down on her "Watsoff" moment and her scuffed mike one time where she "sounded like a robot" and Risu's YukkiRisu stream is essentially her talking in an electronic and robotic manner.
On a side-note, speaking about Sui-chan and being a robot, there was also a clip where I noticed that first 30 seconds of that clip was her stuttering a lot, repeated words and rapidly blinking before she talked normal.

Referring to the person behind the avatar as "person inside" is pretty accurate for most holomembers, but Suisei is a special case. Suisei's always just been Suisei, even before hololive. She has a pseudonym and an avatar, but she's not really "playing a character" aside from herself. (Consider holomyth, where they're supposed to be in character as a phoenix/reaper/etc)

I mean Suisei's old voice actually leaks quite often. Either from habit or that side of her voice has always been a part of her and she forced it more throughout her career as a Vtuber.
Besides, she sings the same. If we were to really think about it, we should've gotten an idea of her normal voice based on how she sings.

I think her voice had begun to ''break'' as she became older. This should be natural for females the older they become. You would never see and hear a 60 year old woman sounding like a teenager except for voice actors.

I couldn't utter a single word was it me that had to throw those blocks that at such a pace with such accuracy, and she makes it seem like she's not even concentrating to do it while speaking long, profound sentences.
Also her voice is not low, it's like a normal, natural woman voice to me, maybe a bit of cutesy flair is added, but compared to someone like Luna, it's her actual voice. (No hate for Luna, the voice is put on for the character, that's all I'm saying).

I feel like it's Suisei getting comfortable with herself, relaxing her voice and being more confident. Kinda like growing up. It could also be from seeing Ollie, Subaru, Korone, and Aqua all damaging their throat over the past 3-4 weeks.
She actually damaged her throat in the beginning of the year, and hence changed her voice to her current one starting from around her Totsumachi stream. So far, it's been a very welcome change in her community with most people really loving her new, deeper voice (Me included).

@@santiagoperez2094 well, she did stream that the doctor told her to stop using that fake hi pitch voice -- it was ruining her vocal cords & as a singer she opted to keep her health. Just me but I really prefer this newer somewhat deeper with a bit of 'depth' to it. But then again, my favorite HL voice is Roboco....nothing else is even close.
