Thank you for another great segment. I'll be listening to this again.
I regret starting my dog in sport. Even though it was brief there are issues that need to be overcome

Lots of great content lately, this included! I appreciate CT's openness and honesty. Watching him work his animals is very informative, and this conversation added a lot to that. Thanks for sharing.

I did my own dogs bite development in prey drive, we have a lot of fun, nothing serious. He has a lot of defense and is a completely different dog automatically when he is on a decoy/helper. I think this sort of thing might depend on the type of dog you’re working and HOW you’re working them. Very interesting conversation. I like listening to outside of the box thinkers.

Some very interesting stuff I'm pretty new to all this neighbourhood style protection training, listened to all the content multiple times its so packed full of info and if ur listening carefully
Dog training is eating its self pet trainers don't like sport trainers, sport trainers don't like pet trainers, protection trainers don't like sport trainers,
I don't see why u can't blend some flashy obedience with ur real protection work
At the end of the day the flashy obedience in protection sports was took from The straight competitive obedience folks I enjoy training my dog everything bit of agility x it of obedience, bit of protection, bit of tracking
I like a well rounded dog I don't want a dog looking for problems all the time

There are a lot of flaws in Clyde’s reasoning. As someone who trains and decoys dogs, he is seriously missing a lot of the theory and methodology behind training. That lack of understanding and information has made him fill those holes or fluff with his own flawed training. Not even talking about sport, straight up protection. That in itself is dangerous.

Flaws or personal choices of of peoples training style is why as an amateur trainer u should absorb knowledge from As many trainers and types of trainer's as possible to learn principles not people's opinions
      Watch agility trainers
      Watch sport trainers
      Watch gundog trainers
      Watch seeing eye dog trainers
      Watch obedience trainers
      Watch tv and film trainers
They all know more than u remember that be a student of the game
If u learn principles u can train the dog in front of u the way that specific dogs personality requires

@@NWACaneCorsos people online often want black and white yes or no answers to complex questions
People think dogs are like cars and trainers are the mechanics
I've spoke to people in my area who actually believe dogs are born understanding the language of the country they are born in
They truly believe that I have a good dog that understands everything I say by accident
And they believe there dog just chooses to ignore them coz it's a bad dog
There's no excuse in this day and age to excuse people from Training there dogs there countless hours of content from Every dog training discipline known to man
But People are looking for step by step instructions so they don't have to think for them selves
I agree with CT if u don't have time to train ur dog u don't have time for a dog
