My mom always baked then scooped out potato, mixed up and fluffed tator with butter, brown sugar, pecans, then put back in shell. Ohhh I love a sweet potato with a caramel drizzle and sprinkle of sea salt.

i do mine at 425 degrees for about an hour. when i was in culinary school back in the day, i did a paper on them, and found out that around 1/4 to 1/3 of the world population depend on these. mostly those people were out of the rice zone. sweet potatoes make the world go 'round.

She’s retired and has been eating them her whole life and you made them better. Even I loved a bite and I am not a sweet potato fan! I used white sweet potatoes by the way. My grandmother used to peel, slice and fry them. When done she would "slather" them with butter, and sprinkle some cinnamon and sugar (that she always kept made up..usually for making cinnamon toast😍) and we would "go to town on them"!! Dee-lish

That's good eatin' right there! Sometimes I'll fix me a baked sweet potato for my lunch, so tasty! Another way to load them up is to do it like you just did with the butter, etc., but then put you some marshmallows in it and return it to the oven to brown the marshmallows!♡!♡ Now that's a sweet potato over the top! Sweet potatoes are the absolute best! Growing up my granny would bake the white sweet potatoes and they were my favorite! Lots of butter and mash it up with my fork...ooooooweeeee indeed! Now they’re hard to find but when I do I make em just like granny did! Love the orange ones as well...the same way! Brown sugar & cinnamon is a treat as well, but not necessary. I am so hungry for some right NOW! 💜💜💜
