Hi IFSC, are you having a laugh? How is 2 minutes and 45 seconds highlights of ANYTHING?
2:45 is perfect for a highlight video but I think they should also do overview videos that are like 7-10 minutes long and explain the boulder problems.
@@januszbujnowski5870 Sorry, but IMHO 2:45 is not enough time to do highlights of the presentation of the climbers at the start of the comp never mind 3 hours of final climbs plus presentations . And 7-10 minute "over views" are just as useless. They should be showing the climbing streamed live on TH-cam like they used to instead of forcing people to use VPNs to view or pay Eurosport for the privilege. If they are not going to stream it live then at least put up the whole comp a few days after the event, so fans can watch the entire thing.
@@XxLuvverofMusicxX I get your point and I too wish livestreams would come back to the TH-cam channel but if you think about it most sport associations don't stream competitions for free online and have the rights sold to Eurosport or some streaming service so it was actually strange that IFSC didn't capitalize on that earlier.
@@januszbujnowski5870 But they are fooling themselves if they think they are capitalising. Anyone in any way tech savy or with tech savy friends or relatives is using a VPN service to watch the live streams and I am willing to bet there is no money from the VPN services making its way to IFSC. People already use VPNs to get around other streaming services Geo restrictions and to keep themselves safer online, so fooling the IFSC restrictions is not a hard thing to do.
Admittedly there will be some who have signed up to Eurosport where some small portion of the fee people pay will trickle down to the IFSC.
I have no issue paying to watch the live streams, if IFSC were to somehow charge a small fee to fans to watch on their channel, but climbing is not a large, well known sport with a large following. Having the live streams available made the sport available to a wider audience and was a good way to get people involved in the sport. Of course it is the IFSC's decision to make if they wish to monetise the broadcasting of their comps, I just think it was the wrong decision and caused more damage that the money they make from Eurosport cannot make up for.
I really enjoyed watching this live yesterday but in regards to the highlights, I feel like they should be a tad longer to at least show every climbers best attempt per boulder.
Remember when you could events for free on TH-cam from Europe?

I'm so curious where is the spanish boy gold medal Tokyo Olimpic? Is he injured or retired? I remember he won 1st place in speed categories. But i've never seem him in any world cup tour 2023.
He's been at all 3. Out in first round in Tokyo and SLC. Made semis in Seoul but failed to make finals. In his olympic win he came in 7th in bouldering so I think it was never his strong suit.
Alberto Gines Lopez is more of a lead climber.
This really feels like a clone of F1’s highlight videos which don’t do a good job of giving you a feel for the event.
Make it longer and less gimmicky
I hope that eurosport money is worth giving this sport so little coverage in europe. Literally no one watches this on eurosport. Good job hurting this sport by selling the rights.
