Mate is originally from South America, and it was taken to Siria by immigrants returning to their country ! The principal countries drinking mate are Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil y Paraguay. In Paraguay, Terere is a type of cold mate.
Just saw your video. I liked it a lot. I grew up in Quito and I had no idea you could climb to the top of the basilica. I'm writing because I was sorely disappointed to see you drink Corona beer. Ecuador has EXCELLENT beer, and I'm not talking about the micro breweries. Plain old commercial beer, your Pilsener and Club are da bomb! Yet you guys drank what's possibly the worst beer in the planet. That's why you have to put a lime in it. Otherwise it tastes like piss water with gas. Also, do yourself a favor and avoid any beer that comes in a clear container, like Corona. Light affects beer and makes it taste like, well, piss water with gas. Pilsener and Club come in dark amber bottles, even that Ecuadorean beer got that right. :)
Glad you liked it. I've been around quite a lot myself, far from you (a mere 40 countries) but I've been to 9 countries for stays of 6 months or more, that's quite something as well. I arrived in Ecuador some 30 years ago thinking I'd be here for a few years but I wound up staying for good.

I need to go back very very soon 💙💙
Much love from Mexico 🇲🇽🇲🇽
@Aces What kind of question is that? Of course they didn't.
@Aces Ive been staying in Ecuador for 2 months and felt very safe. Only places I would avoid is the poorer neighborhoods of Guayaquil and Quito, like every big city in the world, it has rougher areas. Otherwise I walk alone at night all the time in most of the country with no issues. The people are very nice.
Ohhhh Matté in Ecuador !! Amazing !! Love from 🇱🇧❤️
@Joe Doe ohhh okayyy ! Thank you for telling me !

Mate is originally from South America, and it was taken to Siria by immigrants returning to their country !
The principal countries drinking mate are Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil y Paraguay. In Paraguay, Terere is a type of cold mate.
I`ll certainly put Ecuador on my Must See List! By the way, Leo Rojas, a great musician and the winner of German Talent show comes from Ecuador.

OMG FINALLY my mom is from Ecuador I have been in Quito
Cool!
@@drewbinsky yeah I love it there and plus I’m going to Quito in March!
I've been waiting for your Ecuador videos! So excited to see the next ones!!!!
I was there in 2012 for a wedding. It was incredible! The best trip ever. 😍
Thank you for visiting our beautiful Country, hope you enjoy!!! Everyone is welcome!!! 🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨🇪🇨♥️♥️♥️
It's good that you liked my country. This country is amazing in every way, every corner is unique and fascinating. Greetings!!
Love you from Finland 🇫🇮 I am also Traveller new I’m in India 🇮🇳
Also visit Pakistan it’s right by the border and it’s also really fun and it’s home to the world largest slat mine
