I love this sport and it has sooo much potential but you can tell its in its early years which is ok, but here are some things I would recommend to improve it: 1.focus on striking more than grappling as the swords didn't do much imagine the clips from a nice sword exchange if not that allow blunt 2.weapons which to be more significant Better trained athletes nothing wrong with these guy but better training in endurance and striking would go so far 3.Armour from different cultures/time periods. Could you imagine how cool it would be to see a Mongol vs a night or a Persian vs a samurai or an African warrior (my ancestry) vs a roman soldier Can't wait to see the future of this sport :)
There was a TKO (dislocated rib), but I don't think there's been a KO. It's a young sport, the fighters don't make money from this so they avoid taking risks.
Why does the ref move his hand like he was trying to to untangle a spiderweb from his other hand and he can't grab it while they're grappling? Is he counting?
Its hilarious how totally irrelevant the swords and shields are (except to be sometimes used as a bludgeon). They should let them go in there with hammers/maces, and give them a much bigger ring. Actually make it interesting lol.
Why isn't this sport more popular
I guess people can't get their head around guys in medieval armor fighting in a modern ring
Its getting there, just takes time
@@josephippolito1402 that's fair. You reckon they'd do better if it was done in like a festival field or a warehouse renovated into a tavern?
It’s slow and they get tired fast
It is and has been a growing sport, give it 5 years I bet it'll be on TV
AMMA is quickly becoming my favorite watch. Production is top notch, the fighters have tons of heart and skill. The sky is the limit for these folks!

This just randomly hit my algorithm, so I see a million subs coming next year/ definitely should be more popular! Love this shit!!! 😂😂
Great fight
Hell ya Dakota! Next time I see you at the bar, I’ll buy you a drink! Victory well won! 🔥🔥🔥
Underrated Sport
Has there ever been a knockout in an AMMA fight?

Is it illegal to jab with the sword?
I can go for this and I don’t really know why
Please come to Omaha. Sportsball and MMA is so lame. Love this shit

Yes. The current rules allow for 10-15 seconds of fighting once a fighter has gained top control.
Bonus comment for the algorithm
Awesome

They can choose their weapons lol but hammers and maces are really dangerous

This is satire right?
