i love watching buhurt events and the rules feel similar, i dont know buhurt enough to know, but seems similar, just as enjoyable outside mid match weapon swapping which was strange. presentation of the event is kinda whatever, having hyped up exciting music for a knight to walk out feels kinda off. because they're in armor and the match is 5 rounds of 2 min they dont just go in like they should typically. really do think the more rounds hurt this sport, you dont get to see peak fighting because they have to reserve energy but then in the final rounds when they want to put on the gas they cant as well. armored combat is best when they put on the gas imo lots of fun though i love hema, i love beautiful swordsmanship and i love people hitting each other with steel :P

I liked to see how I fair in this type of combat. I feel confident in my athletic ability, and have a good fight iq, I’m very tempted to put on some armor. I personally would only use a mace and tear drop shape shield like they’re using.
Mace would likely be illegal as they were designed to kill through armor. Closest you would probably be able to get is an axe. They have axe fights you could watch
