@Max Wilson I don't have a specific list, but if you listen to these guys in the video it's spot on. There is specific verbiage but to list it all here would be sort of difficult and really a lot of it you just pick up as a railroader...it tweaks and changes from person to person. Certain people and crews work together for a length of time and develop their own understanding of each other. You can probably Google list but... A shove = pushing cars Stretch = pull on cars That'll do = stop Redzone = the danger area between two cars with a locomotive coupled to them. Shove 10 cars to a hook/joint = push the specific cut of cars 10 car lengths towards another specific car or cut of cars and couple them up. If a conductor or crew member needs to go between cars with a locomotive connected 1st they have to request red zone protection from the engineer...at that point the engineer will apply brakes and center the reverser and call out to the crew member example engineer set and centered for the conductor on track (7) on (specific job number) Again there's really a lot to it and you pick up on it as a crew member from day to day on the job. I left a lot out, but without me being at work and performing a specific task I can't think of all of em off hand.
This game is a joy to watch! Very relaxing, yet engaging. Critical thinking skills in a relaxed atmosphere. This is a game I’ve always been itching for. Nobody has quite succeeded in capturing the operations side of things on a the level of train crew before.
This game might actually be the best train simulator ever. Just as long as a quarter of the dev team doesn’t up and go all at once leaving the remaining members to try and keep the ship floating.
Graphics look impressive. I've been a class 1 freight conductor for almost 20 years, wouldn't mind playing this with a few friends and do all the stuff we can't do at work
Wow. Only just discovered the existence of this game, and it looks spectacular. Like a transition-era run-8, but with far better graphical fidelity. Piston sounds and whistle sound great, but a bit quiet (can hear the ambient birds over the whistle in this preview). Hopefully that's a user-adjustable setting for final release, because I can see the value in having it quieter when you need to hear others online, but personally I like it realistically loud. Railroads online but actually developed by competent and knowledgeable people. So hyped for this game! Looking forward to the release of this game!. Looks amazing!
@@fndjfgsdk The difference is that RRO had a lot of promise but the people behind it failed to provide a game that they could handle. I wouldn't buy RRO. I'd wait til this game releases. I have RRO and I honestly want a refund.
RRO is still in early access and still in development and now a big company joined them. its easier to watch a product go through the first release, learn from its mistakes and copy it without all the issues that RRO had and still has to face and all its ideas than developing it from the start.... easy to judge RRO and to hype this game but at the end ppl will enjoy both games for sure.
@@Sandy_RRO what people don’t understand is, when they switched development over to RO! From American railroads, it was to switch game engines for multiplayer, and development improvements.

0:57 I think the dirt yards with ground flat and level with the sleepers looks MUCH better than what you currently have with the deep ditches between tracks. In a yard that would be a recipe for people falling over! Have you any plans to change the yard surfaces back to a more realistic look? Thanks.

That whistle quilling and echo is just top-notch. Reminds me of riding behind RBMN 2102 this past summer through Lehigh Gorge.
The track looks like TRS19 and i love the track in the game! I can not wait for this!

Will there be a feature for giving visible hand/ flag/ lantern signals? That is one of my favorite features of old-time railroading.

A portion of the Murphy Branch centering around Bryson City is the basis, yes! We've made a good number of adjustments however to suit the game.

Good questions - No plans for VR at this time, and no, Railroader started development (as Shortline Simulator) long before RO came on the scene.
