- In this video I make a patio table out of cedar and concrete. This was my first time using dowels for woodworking and pouring a concrete table top. I made a all kinds of mistakes in this video and tried to fix some by making some more. Is isn't my usual how to but wanted to share my project with you. Less talk and more action. the mix looked a bit unusual ... what aggregate did you use ?
make sure you vibrate ... to avoid both the air pits on the visible surface and the honeycombing effect on the sides;
always fill to the top of the mold so that you can trowel effectively;
It was a Concrete Countertop Mix from Quickrete. Used a reciprocating saw to vibrate the table but had trouble getting the mix and water to stay consistent. Still ended up with air bubbles. Should have sprayed the form first to create a nice smooth even coated surface.

You're right. It's pressure treated cedartone pine. Designed to look like cedar at 1/4 the price. Good catch!
