I love seeing artist's past sketchbooks! Seeing how similar a lot of us start out and our habits back then! I used my sketchbook in such a wasteful way... And now I try to always fill spreads as much as I can :'D

Please please please please please do not throw away your old art >:0 You may hate it, it may make you physically cringe, it may blind you, but having old art to look back on and possibly redraw is a HUGE motivator (and is just a lot of fun) showing your progress as an artist ;)

I've been playing a game kinda like Alice closet (love Nikki) forma couple of years now and they look almost the same other than how love Nikki kinda looks better quality
I'm near my teenage years:') Looking back at my old art really wow me. Seeing others progress from where they started really shows that art is not a talent. It is a skill! One time, I made a sketch that I really didn't like, but the next day I fixed some details, added a few anatomy things and painted it, and now it's my favorite page in my sketch book so far

When I saw those blank papers, they were so shiny, they produced enough light to set my eyes on fire. But woah, your improvement throughout the years... It's amazing. Sometimes when i leave blank pages on my low quality sketchbook... I just... Draw random stuff that I, myself, dont understand lol.
Um i'm afraid to admit it but when i was about 4 years old, my brother was drawing a car and when he was finnished with it, i scribbled some pink flowers on it(they dont look like flowers) bc i thought it was ugly. I guess i'm kinda like your siblings 🤧
I love watching people reacting to art they made at an age around my current age, it's like "ew, I was so bad at this certain thing back then" and I wonder how I'll see my current art 5-10 years down the road
I'm also guilty of drawing small and wasting a lot of paper in my old sketchbooks We should start a club haha For me it was because the sketchbook size was too big and it got better (less wasted papers yay) when I downsized thru out the years ^~^ When you zoomed in on that unfinished Link I thought: "Hey! I know you referred to these as “bad” but honestly this helped me. I’m trying to learn how to draw anatomy better, especially eyes, and the amount of heads and eyes you drew helped me figure out what they should look like. TYSM!
I was the opposite- My old notebooks were filled to the brim- I was so scared of wasting literal notebook paper, that every page was so full you couldn’t even figure out what was going on- and it would take me like a year to finish my notebook-

Altho sometimes my teachers would have us turn in our notebooks, so i'd have to tear pages of my sketchbook and shove it in my school books. I had one teacher that would see my doodles in my notebook and tried to connect all of them from the whole semester in a story and i am very curious what the story was.
Next you should make a “Re-creating all the drawings from when I was younger that I didn’t like”! It would be soo cool! But eh, not trying to put pressure on you. Love ur vids, thanks for entertaining us!!

i have a video suggestion! maybe you can try to create a character out of everything you struggled drawing when you were younger like i used to struggle drawing detailed eyes, so maybe i would draw a character who has real detailed eyes or something

Haha, I get the whole "most of my pages are blank" thing. I just recently looked through some old sketches of mine, and about 48% of my sketchbook was blank paper. When I was little, I had a problem with completely filling up a sketchbook.
I relate so much to the title- Like when i was little i thought my drawing was like a masterpiece- But then i look at it now and i regret everything i said
Okay, to be fair, I also have that probable, so I am in the same boat as you. It is one of the reasons why I mainly use smaller sketchbooks for doodles and try to save bigger projects for my bigger sketchbooks :) Of course, now I do most of my art on my iPad, haha
