1 of the great Australia tv cop show series from the early 70's, back when we were still watching black & white tv's, thank goodness it was produced in colour!, way ahead of it's time, Crawford productions always picked real groovy sounding upbeat themes for these cop shows & this definitely was 1 of them.

I used to enjoy watching this show on Aussie TV back in the day. I was about 13-14 at the time, and Pamela Stephenson was one of my first major crushes 😍

    Rod Mullinar's wardrobe by Frieze
Pamela Anderson's wardrobe by Ball & Welch
Tony Angelini's wardrobe by St Vincent De Paul.

Oh boy! Does this bring back memories!! It's so old that I can remember being flabbergasted watching one particular episode where Ryan tells a prospective client that he charged $50 a day plus expenses. Fifty bucks!!! That was about as much as my father made in a good week! In fact I think the fifty dollar note was only introduced at about the time this show went to air.

In the early 80's a Valiant VJ coupe retailed for around $150 in car yards. People just weren't in to them at all.

A Australian equivalent of the ITV series (made by ITC) Man In A Suitcase about a American born ex CIA agent turned Private Eye (having been sacked from the CIA) who charged £50 a day + expenses from 1967 -1968 and shown in Australia by ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) in 1976 ITV was showing this in the North West going out in the late night slot ironically which sometimes had repeats of Man In A Suitcase

As Ryan is approaching the window the top of his head appears to be in line with the top of the window, a split second later he seems to have gained a bit of height.

It’s a pity these good shows come from a woke labour loving state, I got an idea for a new show, where police kick in doors of innocent people or bash the elderly on the streets
