What you are forgetting is that the security has to work with whatever restrictions Trump imposes. His golf course in Florida is on an island with lots of other billionaires with only a single public road. The golf course abuts the road and the bushes where the shooter was hidden. The security services could close the island, but Trump has threatened the security services with lawsuits & threats to fire every security person when he is elected for interrupting the free movement of himself and his friends & family. You can protect someone only as much as they wish to be protected.

What is it about a golf course that you two don't seem to understand. The gunman was outside the fence line... Probably in a subdivision of homes or greenspace.

How does being “out of bounds” (whatever you mean by that??) prevent the shooter from gaining position to take a shot? The whole advantage of a rifle is that it has RANGE. Provided there is no cover or concealment between the shooter and the target, the target is in great jeopardy.
