This month I finally finished the oldest UFO I owned. I think I started the cross stitch in the 90’s sometime 🙄. I can’t even find the pattern but it was mostly done and just needed made into something. Whoohoo! I now have a beautiful pillow for my bedroom. Thanks for the ongoing encouragement.

Love your 16 patch insight - way better for chain piecing! Thanks so much! I’ve got several boxes of 10 and 5 inch blocks that I can easily cut up and generate one of these quilts - I love these scrappy quilts!

The first time I watched one of your videos, I was confused. “What is this woman doing here? What is her point? “ Fortunately, I kept watching, and I think that I may understand at least some of your objectives: you are sharing the process of quilting - not a particular technique or even a particular project, but the full, ongoing, day to day, success and error-filled process of quilting. Multiple projects, shifts in priorities, back burner this and move that forward - all of the guilting process. Your sharing makes an unsure quilter more confident, seeing someone with your experience and skill work at management as well as technique. So cool!

Love your red/white 2" squares quilt! A red and white quilt is on my "to do" list. I have difficulty with 2" squares running wonky, so your tips on putting together the blocks is helpful. I was thinking the 9 patch would help with keeping them straight, but the 16 patch block makes so much more sense ! I also want to border the small Liberty quilt with the 2" squares as you did - it is beautiful.. Thank you. Your videos are ones that I try to watch every morning.

Thank you for the checkerboard quilt update...since starting your system last year I have moved through so many scraps, yay! I'm at the point now of having the luxury of sewing on a different set each season or month. This month was a red/white/pink set. In March it will be all green/whites. The ones stumping me are the multi-prints (from an old Y2K swap), purples and teals. Looking forward to starting String Beans tomorrow!

Just a thought. You want to date your counted cross stitch pieces somewhere tiny on them. I just ran across a piece of cross stitch that I had done and it was dated 1989!!!!!! So I framed it!!!
