- Hello and welcome to the FINALE of my Donkey Kong 64 101% Gameplay Walkthrough! Today, we'll be bringing this grand adventure to a close. The final level, the final collectables, the final glitch and the final boss battle.

The dramatic reading wasn't cringe at all, it was pretty great actually. I practically died laughing at your delivery of "I'm not reading this line"
It was kinda incredible yeah, was going to leave a comment around these lines
The Hideout Helm music is my absolute favorite song in the game. Combined with the plain digital timer really sells the feeling of urgency. This is it, your island, your home, is less than an hour from destruction, you have to stop it or you lose everything.
I love it even more that it plays in the Tag Barrell with the time still going down. As soon that timer starts, you are NOT safe until you 100% shut down that machine. Even when you press pause where you can usually exit a level first, the game outright tells you to give up if you want to leave.
I remember it like it was yesterday. God tier moment in the game.
[Spoilers] Tiny Kong may have only gotten one thumbnail, but at the end of the day, she got an extra golden banana.
I've never seen the final boss fight before but when you said "soon his butt is gonna start hurting" and then shrunk in size, I was......... concerned

Believe it or not, it's possible to permanently miss the Banana Medals in Hideout Helm. If, for whatever reason you didn't collect them as you deactivated the machine, then the rooms will be sealed again and you won't be able to open them.
I'm sure you can glitch through a wall
I thought it was that the Banana Medals disappear if you leave them. I don’t know why you would, though

I've owned this game since I was a kid. During this playthrough, I finally beat the game myself. This has been an awesome series, and I'm happy to have been counting rolls through it all! Maybe I'll be counting something else in the future? Who knows! Here's the roll totals!

I have always unironically loved the DK rap.
And now I unironically love Scykoh's dramatic reading of it.
Kinda shocked that when he reached *that* line of the DK Rap, he didn't say "This Kong's one heck of a guy" like in the Super Smash Bros. Melee version of the song.
Bro I lost it when Syckoh said "This kong has a funny face" at 34:40, that was great

Also also this playthrough was great!!! I would mostly watch my sister play this game all the time when we were kids, but we never got past the first world. It was awesome to see it in all it's glory

Hey Scykoh! Thank you for completing my all-time favourite game! Though it came out a couple years before I was born, my mom had an N64 with a few games including this one and I have sunk many hours into playing this game with my mom even though I wasn’t very good. It wasn’t until last year when I finally completed it for the first time on the Wii u virtual console. I’m glad to see so many people in these comments and you included enjoy this game as much as I do. This lets play was a blast to experience!
That unlockable cutscene for 100% is like borderline avant-garde 😂 I remember unlocking it as a kid and being like “wtf is going on?” Weirdest completion bonus ever haha. But I love it to death!!!
Ohh Scykoh. I seriously enjoyed this series aswell. Last little while has been really tough mentally for me, what has definitely got me through it is seeing a new episode of this series pop up every night. This is my favorite game of all time and to see it being played and enjoyed by a wonderfully talented person like you has really lifted my spirits ❤ Thank you, Scykoh ❤

Great episode but it's like saying goodbye to a friend, I even had to say goodbye to Scykoh's Paper Mario I don't know how many tearful goodbyes I can handle man.
I never got past the two coin door either as a kid. Same as you, that dreaded Nintendo coin prevented me from finishing the game.
Finally got past it as an adult all these years later though!
Like Scykoh, I never could get the Nintendo coin as a kid, so I couldn't complete the game either.

As a kid, I always thought K.Lumsy would turn on you at the end and end up working for K.Rool or something. But when I finally beat it as a teenager, I was pleasantly surprised when he ended up actually being on your side.

If there is such a thing as the perfect Let's Play, I think this is it! DK64 is a game I remember fondly from my childhood but that I never came close to completing. Experiencing it through your videos was very enjoyable! You collected everything and did all the game has to offer but thanks to your preparation and knowledge of the game it was never a drag, since even though there are heaps of collectables you knew exactly where to go.
Your commentary was very entertaining, and I thought your editing was really good! That's not normally something I notice but I did here and I was impressed. For me personally, this was the perfect way to revisit this childhood game. Thank you very much!
If there was ever an N64 game that deserved a direct sequel, it's this one. I loved the new characters of Tiny, Lanky, and Chunky, and I don't understand why Nintendo doesn't use those characters more.
They might belong to Rare, Rare apparently owns some assets of this game.
I have *loved* this series so much. Nostalgia trip, the funny intros and thumbnails, the whole thing has been amazing.

I would love to see a few speed running glitches included in the bonus episode. B. Locker skip, coloured banana skips, etc. This is such a fun game to speedrun.

I think a game you should play is Super Paper Mario. It’s kind of long but it would be perfect for this channel and it has an amazing story. It’s a game that not many well known people have played on TH-cam and you seem to shine in playing great games that not many others have let’s played.
he says that he wants to do TTYD first, but SPM would be great as well... the actual next series is Pokemon TCG for the game boy
Scykoh man ... despite the fact that I hate this game with all my heart, watching this series was an absolute treat. I think your enjoyment of the game was the real positive factor so even though I will never beat this game myself, watching you do it was worth it.
Dude!! This was such a great series I can't believe its over! I started watching this cause I was thinking about this game one day then I realized that the videos were recent uploads! You did such a great job with this bro! I have a knot in my throat seeing the end credits. Once again great job and thanks for bringing back all the childhood memories!! The Chunky Kong part of the side is my favorite part of the fight

I replayed the final battle with K. Rool so much that the ending sequence is engraved in my brain. I particularly loved backflipping when exiting Hunky Chunky just to take a cheeky fall damage bit after hitting K. Rool.
And that completion bonus audition cutscene is just so full of charm.
You know, it's too bad that Nintendo didn't do a 3DS or Switch remake for this great title.

That 12 rounds bit isn't a lie. If you timeout a round it will heal you a bit and there's a ringside pep talk from Cranky before the current Kong's fight resets. Don't beat it in 12 rounds and it's a flat out game over.

i found this on TCRF regarding that debug room:
"If you walk off into the dark space beyond the borders, you will appear to exit the room but will reappear back inside of it again. If you damage yourself with an orange, you will hear the sound of a melon slice being taken away but not lose health. Also, the game doesn't automatically save during screen transitions and pressing Start does nothing, so it may look like there is no way to leave the room without resetting the game. *However, by activating the Intro Story Glitch before entering the test room, you can play your instrument to escape and save the balloon.* "

I just recently came across your channel within the past weeks. The first episode of this series had gotten recommended to me, and your commentating was amazing. So I stuck around. Got addicted to this and your old nuzlocke videos. I am very sad to see the end of this series.
This was the one game that I loved as a kid but I couldn’t beat because I couldn’t get the coin and I learned that you needed to do the Mario level so I’m very glad games don’t make that sort of thing a requirement anymore because I really missed out on the final boss, but I’m glad I was able to see it here so thanks dude.

This game is so nostalgic to me. Playing it when I was really little, I didn't understand games at the time so I never got too far into it, but getting to see all these areas again and all the stuff I never got to see was so much fun! This series has been such an amazing ride, sad to see it be over. Can't wait for the bonus video!
Hey man, thanks for getting me through calculus class during the pandemic, having this series throughout the week was something that I could just chill with while going through the hardest part of my semester. Been here since I was in grade 6 and now I'm graduating high school with a series of my favourite game from my childhood and with my favourite content creator from my childhood.
