In 1989 Houston put 95 on SMU, and they did win the game 95-21.
That was the first year back after the Death Penalty. SMU really wasn’t a true college football team then… and not for a few more years.
At least SMU scored in that game. Earlier this season, Stephen F. Austin beat a NAIA team 98-0.
