I've never found ONE video showing this. Its like they don't want to show anyone how to do it themselves. I've been piecing together videos and stuff from magazine articles, books, etc to try to figure out exactly how its done from start to finish, but its hard to do unless you have someone to show you.
@@privatear2001 I reasoned out how to weave a hammock about 20 years ago and actually made one. It turned out very well. However, I used polyester cord and it got left out in the southern sun often. Sunlight (probably ultraviolet light) broke the polyester fibers down until it started shedding slivers like a dog sheds hair. It only lasted a couple of years until it was unusable. I still have the wood stretchers and would like to make another one. This time I'm going to use diamond braid nylon rope which stands up to sunlight much better. I just can't decide if I want to use 1/4- or 3/8-inch sized rope.

At around :35 in, you'll see "Hatteras Hammocks, Greenville, NC" burned into the spreader bar. That's the company making these particular ones.
