i'm from Bologna and I said...Great video! only note: piadina is not from Bologna but it is a typical dish of Romagna, each city has its own culinary specialties which are then sold everywhere
I really enjoyed it, the only problem was the food, itwas too good, and I ate far too much. Beautiful relaxed city. I am currently in Copenhagen only on day two, hopefully try some local cuisine today.
I don't know one personally. Unfortunately that is probably too early for the people mover but I'll drop the link here in case it helps anyone. www.marconiexpress.it/
Best video I’ve watched and Bologna so far! Had planned to do one night on route from Puglia to Slovenia. I’ve decided to spend 3 to 4 nights in Bologna. Would this give me enough time to tour the area without feeling too rushed?
Grazie! I definitely want to put Bologna in my travel plans, but I am wondering about all your footage where the streets seem to be really crowded. What time of year did you take the video? Are those people all locals, or visitors from other parts of Italy, or is there still significant tourism from elsewhere, even if it's not as much as in Florence or Venice?
This is what I would call "moderate to heavy" crowding for Bologna. I recorded the video mid-day on a warm Saturday in October, and I think many people had the same idea of taking advantage of the nice weather before winter. Some areas of Bologna are always full of people and activity, particularly Via Pescherie Vecchie and Via Clavature just off the eastern side of Piazza Maggiore. Some of the people walking around are true locals and some are tourists from elsewhere in Italy. I (think) the vast majority are transplants from other parts of Italy or the visiting families of students at the university. During the summer there is more tourism, but between the University being out of session and the locals summering at the beach or the countryside, the overall effect is a city that is somewhat less crowded than is seen in this video.
I’m from bologna and I don’t suggest summer. It’s not extremely hot here but with an high humidity it feels like 50C. Basically every local doesn’t stay here on august or even late July since it’s really difficult to walk
The woman at 3:09 in the green shirt looks absolutely terrified of the man in the blue shirt who has a tight grip on her arm. He then releases her arm as the camera goes by. Makes you wonder ???
OK what happen you haven’t shot a video in nine months I just found your channel and I think are you do the best descriptive narratives of the cities that you visit for somebody who lives in another country or like the Rick Steves love TH-cam are you not living in Italy anymore? Why are you not doing a Videos? Hope everything is well with you. Let me know. Look forward to more.
A strong passion for languages was born in me but I'm not good at it, I don't know if my fatigue is connected to my being sensitive, introverted and blocked or not because I noticed that most people can study languages easily , I don't know if they were all born with the innate predisposition and I together with the minority are the only losers who don't have it and if you need to have a talent not to struggle with languages
My son lives here with his family well over 10 years, but you have shown me more of Bologna in the last 10 minutes and well spoken with information.
I’m taking a solo trip to Bologna after I graduate university. I didn’t realize that had a nice jazz scene! I am even more excited now!
That's awesome, (early) congrats on graduation and have a great time!!
Thank you for such a well researched, clear, precise video👍 I really appreciate the unique details mentioned and visuals ! 🏆Looking forward to bringing my students in the spring!
My compliments for the video 👏🏻. Even though I'm not from Bologna, I graduated there a lifetime ago and never forgot that wonderful town.

Gelato de San Estefano, delicioso!!! El mejor que he probado en Italia
Habrá que probar la próxima vez que vaya allí!
Excellent vlog. I’ll be visiting in May and you have given me everything I need to know for that short day trip from Florence.
So glad to hear it and thank you!!
Italy itself is a art
Nicely done. The Celtic Boi tribes who also settled Bohemian came after the Etruscans and before the Romans.
Missing Bologna
Bologna mi manca
Excellente!
My favorite city in Italy outside of Cefalu.
Very nice video.
Neptune was one of the 12 Gods of the ancient Greeks.
Very nice bro
Thanks for the video, I will be there in 17 days, but who's counting
Thanks for watching and have fun!!
How was your trip to Bologna ? I'm thinking to book a flight for October
I really enjoyed it, the only problem was the food, itwas too good, and I ate far too much. Beautiful relaxed city. I am currently in Copenhagen only on day two, hopefully try some local cuisine today.
I have a 06:00:Morning flight . Do you have a shuttle service to the Bologna Airport.?
I don't know one personally. Unfortunately that is probably too early for the people mover but I'll drop the link here in case it helps anyone. www.marconiexpress.it/
The Bologna in Bologna is irresistible. Puts Oscar Mayer to shame. And that's no Baloney.
Thank you! very interesting, although I see you keep repeating the images of the same sites and I am wondering if that is all

3-4 days ought to be plenty of time, and I'm so glad you liked the video!

I heard the suburbs are ugly. Is that true?

La Rossa was also used as the communist party was strong there
