Let's go back to the hypothetical world where Walt Disney Productions welcomed George Lucas' bizarre Science Fiction Project and released it on Home Video in 1987 to coincide with the original's 10th Anniversary.

Yeah. Disney, Universal, Warner Bros, and United Artists all passed on Star Wars when George Lucas first conceived it. Fox reaped in all the rewards that Disney could have had in the 1970s, which could have jump started the Renaissance a few years earlier. But, as we all, it took until the Eisner/Wells takeover for Disney to get involved with Star Wars
