mate, what work have you had done to that beast, I have a 1999 3.0lt turbo diesel, and I want to do what you are doing right there, can you give me any advice?
herb marsh well, that can be a long ish answer, but the basics are; Dmax 3.0 engine and auto, jackaroo transfer with reduction gears, front elocker, rear air locker. 33" tyres, full widetrack conversion, custom rear springs and coils, dislocation cones, coil retainers, extended lines, and a bunch of other stuff
If you're not already, join up on the Holden Jackaroo / Isuzu 4x4 facebook group. Its the biggest jack group in Aus, and heaps of great ideas from all kinds of people.
Awsome build! What lift? just got a 97 myself but has no flares , was wondering where u got yours ? Cant find any for the 92-97 shape , do you know if the 98-02 flares will fit our shape?
DntFukWitDaWongs Thanks man. Flares are off a 2001-2003 widetrack jack, drill holes in guards and they clip and screw on. Lift is all custom, sits about 3" over stock
Thanks il grab some flares off a wide body then , looks like you got alot more flex then the 2" lifts available here in aus , did u remove the sway bars? If so how does it drive without them? Anyway il keep an eye out for your vids as iv done some of the tracks you posted in vic (ellis track ect)
DntFukWitDaWongs yeah, done a lot of experimenting with the suspension. Present setup im running a front swaybar but no rear. Ive not been up ellis track in quite a while, which is funny because its not far from where i live
Yeah awsome track, iv made it in the dry and failed once in the rain lol. u definantly have the best flex iv seen on these , any advice? Was planing on 1 inch body lift, 2" lift shocks and coils with 1" coil spacers, 2.5" wound up torsion bars , ball joint flip for travel and diff drop for cv, running 33/12.5/15" tyres
I don't have anywhere near the flex of clayto but, old man emu n85's are quite popular for the rear, you will need drop out cones and coil retainers tho, they are a 60 series shock absorber, about 3 inches longer travel
That flex is wicked! Gotta love that 3 link! Awesome stuff man!
I love the trooper
amazing rear axle
Go the ol roo!! Wondering where you got that jerry holder that goes on the small door? Best spot for one.
I found the base jerry holder on ebay and made the mounts for it.
@@Clayto perfect. Thanks for the reply mate. Will look into doing something similar for some emergency capacity. Cheers.
the FLEX KING

That's crazy! In a good way
What lift did you put on this truck? I just got a 98 3.5l
Zorrostunts its all custom stuff, sits about 3" over stock.
@@Clayto nice truck man. How much more top heavy is it with the 3in lift?
Not too bad, mind you, its been a very long time since it was stock height.
@@Clayto nice good to know. I'm only thinking of lifting it 1½ maybe 2 inches.
