Hi, I"m new. :) The quote "6 Inches" comes from the movie Elf when the department manager tells Jovi how long the ribbon curls on the packages need to be when wrapping. And I am really loving this album tutorial series!

I use the hole pieces on the ends of my ribbons...glue one on each side and put pearls, rhinestones or something for weight....when using ribbon to tie my albums closed.....Claire in England gave this tip

Love how your flaps came out Amy. I am loving that punch too. I always use my stylus to score with, it is gives such a nicer score line over a bone folder. I do however use my Teflon bone folder to "press" my score line down when folding. Can't wait to see the paper go in this mini!

Hi Mayday, I just wanted to comment on using hot glue for the duct tape spine. I really struggled with that, even though I roughed it up I could not get the hot glue to stick. It could have been that my glue wasn't hot enough (I have an $8 glue gun). So....I used FABRI-TAC liquid permanent adhesive and it worked really good. I got a 4 oz bottle from Walmart for @ $4.
Other than that little problem, I'm really enjoying this tutorial. I'm making 2 albums at the same time, one is just like yours and the other is a bit smaller. I'm so excited to give these as gifts to my daughters. Love you, Mayday!!

I did this and added 20 signatures, soune us 6 inches. Very heavy....but I think it will work.

I'm getting ready to catch up to you. I love the flaps! I don't have a border punch so I may have to see if I can cut the flaps on my Cricut. I do have trouble scoring with my bone folder. I saw this and thought "wow, I knew something before Maymay!" then I realized this was filmed 3 years ago, OMG too funny......... should have known better......... love it.
Maymay......I love this little get together every day, Hope we can do it again sometime. The other day you said there were no mistakes that it was just a challenge to be creative. Well I have a challenge I hope you can help me with. Last night after I put the inside paper on my cover and so carefully started working it to fold my paper split at the bottom edge of the piece that is coming over the front of the cover. Please tell me you have a helpful hint to fix this.........Thanks, Kathleen
Ah, ah! I'm glad you saw that your hands were blurry on the last video. I had just changed to a new pair of contacts and watched the video and thought I was starting to have problems with them! :)
