We had no idea why ace was in Wano. If he chose to leave ace out of the story/ flashbacks the fans would have just grilled him for poor story writing or missed opportunities.
This literally had to happen for the sake of the plot.
Luffy blatantly telling Tama that Ace died was in total contrast to how he reacted to Ace's death, and it shows how much he had to come to grips with it.
Just realized now. The scenes of Otama noticing Luffy is a bad liar weren't just for comedy. Is so she will not doubt Luffy when he says Ace died. I mean, she still calls him a liar but is not because she doesn't believe him, is because she doesn't want it to be true.

it didn't take long to discover the dark side of Wano. You have a nation with a beautiful landscape but the corruption makes it toxic
Oda does a masterful job of worldbuilding by showing connections between characters. Luffy's method of telling people may be like tying a message to a brick and chucking it at them, but he's not wrong in telling her that Ace is dead. As for Hitetsu saying it was a bad time to tell her, would there ever be a good time to tell her something like that?

It sucks that Luffy was so blunt when he told Tama about Ace's passing, but I can't really blame him for it, either. I mean.... not only was he there when it happened, Ace literally _died in his arms._ After letting THAT kind of trauma stew for two years, I can see how it would harden him into the type who rips the band-aid straight off in one swipe..... 😟

my issues with post time skip compared to pre.
1. many more minor plot holes/armor, and we are expected to just let them slide(e.g: mariejois weak guard).
2. more jokes don't deliver(eg: sanji's nosebleed).
3. pacing(especially whole cake island).
Welp, Momo gave Luffy food. Wano is as good as saved.

After seeing ace reached land of wano so fast after becoming pirate I realized how broken logia df type is because not even 5 percent of the first half of the grand line can use haki
whats weird to me is that Ace reached the New World so damn fast, meaning that he went under the sea to Fishman Island and then he went back to the first half and met Luffy all the way in Alabasta
@@floreaciprian9742 He did have a couple of years of headstart against Luffy though. Look at how fast Luffy and his crew got to Wano and imagine how Ace would have fared with his logia df and higher experience/smarter thinking.
That’s why people like Croc, Smoker, Ace and Enel seemed invincible back in the day
