You gotta understand that Supreme Kai’s are supposed to be beings of good (or at the least neutral) down to their core, especially since they are the creation deity that coincide with Gods of Destruction. Zamasu for all intents and purposes is an anomaly. Like, for Zamasu to be evil is something that shouldn’t be possible at all. Was Gowasu kinda stubborn for not seeing the signs in Zamasu? Yea. But at the same time until the assassination attempt, they were pretty much trying to tell him something that, by law of existence itself, doesn’t happen.
Yeah I think a lot of people forget this. The Kais by the very nature are meant to be benevolent. The opposite of the Destroyer they are counterpart to. Zamasu being this evil is against the whole point of his existence, no-one would normally ever think that, the heroes just have hindsight from fighting the Future Zamasu.
I know it's the cool thing to dunk on Kaioshin (Supreme Kai) but there's a very vital point you have to understand. Gowasu points out often the role of the Supreme Kai in past episodes but remember, they are responsible for life and to watch over. Gods of Destruction are meant to destroy planets and mortals that do not end up being a benefit to the world itself. Our Supreme Kai, due to the destruction caused by Majin Buu was left without his mentor and was considered a young Supreme Kai when that happened. Supreme Kai are meant to be good (with the exception of evil Supreme Kai which haven't appeared in *canon* DB works...yet) and look for this goodness in their creations. Gowasu, in his millions of years serving as Supreme Kai, has likely never thought that any type of "Kai" would ever turn into some weapon of evil. In games they have Makaishins, which are Supreme Kais turned evil. They never appeared in canon, but Dragon Ball Daima anime trailers implies the villain is one.
Zamasu really was just going to shank Gowasu in the back to get his power. He does acnowledge his actions as evil but somtimes you have to do evil for a coming good. Again ironically its gods like Beerus ie lazy pricks that really put Zamasu on his spiral into madness and misantrophy as they let the evil mortals fester witch made it so that Zamasu could agian and again see them do the same mistakes ad infinitum or hell maybe universe 10 is a really shitty univers. Gowasu really just wants to belive in his aprentice because as far as he knows Zamasu could still settel down and calm himself witch well probably won't happen until after. Zamasu and Goku black lamenting that they need to use mortal power to destroy mortals. Again bordering on hypocrasy but they pretty much just accept that this is the only way to do things so at least they are self aware about that. Also gotta love that they have a tea break while slauthering mortals. Guess some of Gowasus teachings remained. Well at least Beerus finally did his job. In another universe but hey its a start. Now because of all the time travel bs this probably won't work because otherwise it would be a bit lame since we didn't even get our mega fight yet.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Time Ring makes Black a living paradox. No matter how many times Beerus uses the Hakai Black will continue to exist. Also if you guys haven't played the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series I'd recommend it.

Even if you don't plan on playing I'd say watch the trailers, get an idea for it.
There is a reason why our Surpreme Kai and also Gowasu are not very competent...but with Gowasu and Zamasu..it's like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin..if I may say so and I think you know what I mean by that....

That was an important scene with Kid Trunks and Future Trunks. Even though I'm not a fan of Kid Trunks or Goten, this was important to emphasize that they are not the same person. Future Trunks has a completely different origin than Kid Trunks and is therefore an individual in his own right, and at least they let him take responsibility... unlike Kid Trunks and Goten who are..mostly useless.
I mean, Beerus ain't so great at his job either. Looks at all the dinosaurs that he said he wiped out just wandering around. Hell, Supreme Kai was left without a teacher due to Buu, Beerus is just lazy and doesn't bother to check if he did his job properly.
The gods of the destruction observe destroy the kais create and observe getting rid of old and creating new Universe 7 unfortunately has a lazy god of destruction who destroys often for petty reasons (Beerus) and kai who is extremely inexperienced not to mention they rarely work together
The supreme kai arent pure good Just pure Usually good, but zamasu shows that a pure heart can be misguided to evil. He is pure and he believes himself to be pure good, not knowing the definition he made and Gowasu allowed to be wrong. Truly an avoidable tragedy should he have had a better mentor. Remember how timetravel worked in DBZ? After the androids and Cell were handled in our time, Trunks had to do it all again in his world. Saving our time did not save his, sure with his new power he handled it with ease, but they didnt vanish due to trunks tampering with time
Normally what Beerus did would have worked, but for the sake of a compelling story that couldn't have been the end of it. The reason for the survival is Black's Time Ring protecting him from paradoxes and Zamasu having immortality with the Super Dragon Balls.
Haki destroys you completely their is no trace of you left you get destroyed both in spirit and in body Edit: also in the manga zamasu was previously in the role of king Kai in his universe than the supreme Kai (can’t spell his name) came and wanted him to be his successor
Zamasu is cool too. But also with Homelander it’s sad with his ego and he’s got more reason and hurt behind him. As far as we know, nothing bad has happened to Zamasu other than getting beaten in a fight by Goku 🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Zamasu has infinitely more reason behind his actions, especially when compared to Homelander. Homelander was unlucky to be born into a horrid life with the one upside being superhuman powers. Instead of overcoming his trauma he enabled himself with it. Using the fact that he was drugged up from conception and has powers because of it to call himself a god. The thing is he isn't, he's just a man child who was given power through compound v. Zamasu however is a literal god with a lifespan capable of living for millenniums easily. Homelander had the choice to strive towards ensuring that what happened to him never happened again. Instead he uses his powers to be a racist, ableist, psychopathic murder who discriminately eliminates people based on a whim or because he cant use them anymore. Homelander is a hypocrite, he claims he and other supes are gods even though they were made by humans. Zamasu isn't, from his perspective of observing life for hundreds if not thousands of times he has seen the total result as apposed to the individual experience. Instead of looking at the lives of individuals he looked at the end result so to speak. Which is literally just true humans do far more bad than good when looking at the result of our kind existing on earth. This lead Zamasu into his fixation of divine justice. He did not destroy discriminately he wanted to kill all mortals regardless of status, ability, or wealth. Zamasu is insane no doubt but he didn't break his own rules, and he had follow through fighting to the bitter end. Homelander doesn't even have an end game or justification he's just a dick with powers who gets eviscerated by literally every other superman knockoff lol.

i have a theory that u need to be "pure" of heart to be a "supreme" kai which is just a secretary to the zeno & to think who is the most pure of heart in the cast its goku who fell on his head when he was a baby zeno clearly chose stupid characters to be loyal or hard to betray the same theory work when u see him liking goku
Beerus Destroying Zamasu was actually a reminder for viewers that what Lord Beerus actually is Lets say he was a little way too Domesticated in the series till now
I've been a fan of the series for as long as I can remember. It's very near and dear to my heart. I'm a huge nerd when it comes to Dragonball, and I'll let you know... You're justified for ripping on the Supreme Kais... They're so worthless... They were introduced as deities much like Whis and Beerus, but were weaker than our cast of Saiyans. We're a LONG way from Super Saiyan, with Super Saiyan God and Blue... They're absolutely inconsequential. Lol
NOTE - Your average "Kitten Mitten" can provide a heat resistance upto 500 Degrees or 932 Fahrenheit. Meaning, just the surface of his hand was lethal.
Dude it was just a gag scene. Zamasu was able to content with a SSJ2 Goku who is easily scaled to galactic. Not only was zamasu able to take hits from Goku he managed to strike and deal damage to him as well. Considering that people like Freiza can survive planetary detonation which can easily reach temperatures greater than 100,000 degrees. The same freiza took more damage from Gokus attack while in SSJ during Z. Whis most likely had a seal of some sort as he later says “I have something even better than your adorable little jar with the seal.” Magic makes far more sense because a normal oven mit would be obliterated instantly with how much power everyone in the series has.
Oh no don't worry, among the Supreme Kais you've met, Shin is pretty useless, largely because those who would have trained him were all killed, and Gowasu is more trying to see the best in people and results in being naïve to a fault.
Zamasu didn't die, he was erased, body, soul and essence are completely gone with no hope of revival The kai are pretty much pacifists so hate, murder or destruction isn't really in their nature, so one going evil is impossible in the Kai's eyes, zamasu is an anomaly among the Kai, a Kai's job is to monitor their universe, create life and work with the universe destroyer to maintain balance

my dragon ball journey started with the original dub of og dragon ball seeing you guys like pilaf (the blue demon kid) antics makes me smile too especially since it his original dub voice actor back from the 90's :3
9:01 when this scene showed up in the manga everyone and there mother was like damn berrus! dude atomized a person like it was nothing for him dont know if you 2 remember the more recent dragon ball fighting game but that is his most powerful super attack in the game
It better be the most powerful super attack 🤩
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 i am not super into fighting games but under a fighter is usually a meter that builds that lets them do a super attack ranging from level 1 to max of 3 beeruis max level 3 is what he did to zamaus in this episode
Beerus killing Zamasu with Hakai was so satisfying and made me like and respect him even more we haven’t seen him engage much so this was really great.
Yep. Nice to see what he can do when he really cares 🤩
For the first time in Millenium, Beerus did his job well. 😅
😛
Ken: someone's gonna stop him
Me: smirks nah not this time
😜
Poor Zamasu (not really) got straight up erased from existence. No afterlife, no ghost, no trace of you is left after getting hit by Hakai
So satisfying 😈
Just realized that if zamasu would have killed gowasu their universe’s own destroyer would have died too.
And we would’ve been denied that awesome scene of Beerus wiping Zamasu away 😁
If you happen to be close to a Japanese market or somewhere they to sell mochi and green tea, I VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!!! I tried it after this episode and I have to tell you, the pairing is MAGICAL!!!!. NOT MOCHI ICE CREAM, regular red bean mochi. It is astounding😊😊😊😊 The Kitten Mitten is also a reference to the funniest show possible. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. "Kitten Mittens. You'll be smitten. MEOW!"
Never got into It’s Always Sunny but hear great things. Longest running sitcom I think 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 It's really funny. Check out Lethal Weapon 5. You will die laughing!!!!
Kid Trunks got that dog in him.
😝
I mean since you are here now, remember DBZA the Buu Bits ?
Goku: "... remember when I was black ? That was wierd"
Ah okay. Makes sense now 🙂
I wonder if Zamasu is the first Kai to go evil in millions of years. That would explain Gowasu's inability to believe it.
In games they have Makaishins, which are Supreme Kais turned evil. They never appeared in canon, but Dragon Ball Daima anime trailers implies the villain is one.
@@Mari_Izu Oh, really? I thought they were just Kaioshins born to the demon realm.
Fair point 🤔🙂
It was great seeing him do something after all this time.
And what a thing he did 🤩
In case you're wondering what Hakai means. In Japanese translation it means destroy
Thanks for letting us know 🙂
You two will not get off the Supreme Kai’s back, let him breathe sheesh 😂
Never! 😜🤗
Considering neither gowasu nor goku could feel zamasu's murderous intent it's clear that zamasu hid it well.
Bills applied the hakai literally erases you from existence although Zeno Zama's is much worse, more destructive
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the Time Ring makes Black a living paradox. No matter how many times Beerus uses the Hakai Black will continue to exist.
Also if you guys haven't played the Dragon Ball Xenoverse series I'd recommend it.
We have not played that series yet 😅
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 You get to create your own character from the Earthling, Majin, Namekian, Saiyan, or Frieza races and learn attacks (Galick Gun, Kamehameha, Final Flash, etc) as you play through the battles from the show/manga. The second one is still being updated to date since coming out in 2016, including story missions from Dragon Ball Super and transformations like Super Saiyan Blue and beyond.
If Obi-Wan and Anakin had as much tea time as these two instead of fighting a war constantly, I think things would’ve turned out different 🙃
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 You watched Clone Wars.. Obi-Wan is an a**hole, hates and disrespect droids and left his so called beloved student for dead... without this d**kmove Darth Vader would never existed... but I digress
But they did give us sperm ghost attack as Gotenks 😜
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Thanks for bringing back that memory. Ew. 😆
2:36 freaking FACTS
Supreme Kai sucks so hard at his job lol
😆🤗
I mean, Beerus ain't so great at his job either. Looks at all the dinosaurs that he said he wiped out just wandering around.
Hell, Supreme Kai was left without a teacher due to Buu, Beerus is just lazy and doesn't bother to check if he did his job properly.
The gods of the destruction observe destroy the kais create and observe getting rid of old and creating new
Universe 7 unfortunately has a lazy god of destruction who destroys often for petty reasons (Beerus) and kai who is extremely inexperienced not to mention they rarely work together
Which allows the Saiyans to run wild 😛
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 yup... And that's not even mentioning Frieza lol
Honestly the only supreme kai i respect is Chronoa, the supreme kai of time, but it's not a lot since she needs help to deal with time distortions
The supreme kai arent pure good
Just pure
Usually good, but zamasu shows that a pure heart can be misguided to evil.
Saving our time did not save his, sure with his new power he handled it with ease, but they didnt vanish due to trunks tampering with time
Thanks for clarifying all that 🙂
Normally what Beerus did would have worked, but for the sake of a compelling story that couldn't have been the end of it. The reason for the survival is Black's Time Ring protecting him from paradoxes and Zamasu having immortality with the Super Dragon Balls.
Haki destroys you completely their is no trace of you left you get destroyed both in spirit and in body
Edit: also in the manga zamasu was previously in the role of king Kai in his universe than the supreme Kai (can’t spell his name) came and wanted him to be his successor
Love that there is no trace left of Zamasu 😁
Beerus is so scary in this episode :D
Scary great 🤩😈
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 yes scary in the most fun and great way :D
sheeeit i am HERE for the supreme kai slander!
🤭😇
“Zamasu is so egotistical” - 🤓
Also you : “Homelander is so cool” - 🤪
@@resonabledemon I think Death Battle put it a good way when comparing Homelander to Omniman: "One is a warrior, and the other is a bully.".
Man Goku is so blunt and idiotic at times, such a standard shonen protagonist 😂
PLEASE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Tell EVERYONE who does not like AND subscribe, your HAKAI reaction is (SIMPLY THE BEST)!!!!! Aside from Vegeta's Final Atonement, this is my FAVORITE REACTION FROM YOU GUYS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!
Awww. Thanks! And those are two very different ends of the reaction spectrum. Super sad and super pumped 😂😁🥳🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 I Super love it!!!!
I think you would love DBZ's the car filler episode with Piccolo and Goku, hopefully we you look at that after this ark 🐉🐲⭐▶️...
Was that earlier on in the season 🤔
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 on DBZ yes, but for Dragon Ball Super that's a no but they do reference it in some other episode tho in Super 👍🐉🐲▶️!
The supreme kaiosamas are made to create life, not to think. Zamazu is too evil and intelligent to exist and the destroyer gods are too careless. It was no longer Bill's job to destroy Zamazu. It was the job of the destructive god called Ramūshi. He is from universe 10.
is that a little baby goat
1:33 To be fair, if Goku didn't buy it I doubt Zamasu would've. Beerus needs to step up his acting.
i have a theory that u need to be "pure" of heart to be a "supreme" kai which is just a secretary to the zeno & to think who is the most pure of heart in the cast its goku who fell on his head when he was a baby zeno clearly chose stupid characters to be loyal or hard to betray the same theory work when u see him liking goku
Beerus Destroying Zamasu was actually a reminder for viewers that what Lord Beerus actually is
Lets say he was a little way too Domesticated in the series till now
Edited out the "HAKAI"!!!
Lol
😂 appreciate this 🤗
NOTE - Your average "Kitten Mitten" can provide a heat resistance upto 500 Degrees or 932 Fahrenheit.
Kid Trunks was right though
I remember when I watched the episode for the first time, I can only feel how good it felt to watch this episode for you!
Very satisfying 😁
Oh no don't worry, among the Supreme Kais you've met, Shin is pretty useless, largely because those who would have trained him were all killed, and Gowasu is more trying to see the best in people and results in being naïve to a fault.
😎👍🙂
Zamasu didn't die, he was erased, body, soul and essence are completely gone with no hope of revival
The kai are pretty much pacifists so hate, murder or destruction isn't really in their nature, so one going evil is impossible in the Kai's eyes, zamasu is an anomaly among the Kai, a Kai's job is to monitor their universe, create life and work with the universe destroyer to maintain balance
But in all the Kai’s existence, have they never seen anything that’s happened for the first time ever? 🤔
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 as far as I know, no Kai has ever shown hate or malice, at the same time I don't know anything about the erased universes or why zeno erased them
HAKAI
HAKAI!
Fun fact, doing this to Zamasu in DBFZ gives us a similar result. It's so delicious. One of Beerus's best moments ever.
Indeed an amazing moment 🤩
Loving the supreme Kai hate 😁
Haha, not hate so much as playful teasing 😇😜😈
