Simple, but brilliant. Only thing that would make it better was a marker on the point where the solution is solved. Speaking only for my (anecdotal) self, I know which buttons I can push. Therefore, I simply need the “codex” that details which “magical” order said buttons need to pushed to unlock the reset. Very good video, mate; cheers!
Please tell me how you can solve the problem, the situation is as follows after resetting the settings on the column itself, after turning on the indicators started blinking as if it was looking for the Internet, but after a minute of blinking the column turns off, at this time it does not respond to any button. What could be the problem?
These speakers are trash. They need to be really close to an access point and have line of sight to work. Maybe I’m doing something wrong, but I bought a pair of them earlier this year to play music in my dining room. They were set up less than 25 feet from the WiFi access point and they frequently disconnected to the point of being useless… I just tried again. This time it’s around fifteen feet away from an access point but defeated by an interior wall being in the way. I’d say don’t buy, but if you’re watching this video chances are you already did and are having the same problem I am.
What am I supposed to do if I do not have it connected to WiFi? We moved and found out we had to change internet sources completely so I have no way of connecting it to a new WiFi?
As long as you know the details for your Google account. If you factory reset the Nest Audio, and then set it up through Google Home. When as you set it up, you will be asked to enter your new network wifi settings. As long as you activate the Nest Audio using the same Google account details you should not have any problems. I did double check this advice, and have conformation from this Google support article - support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7170507?hl=en-GB#zippy=%2Cif-your-speaker-or-display-isnt-connected-to-a-wi-fi-network
This didn't work for me. I tried the "physical" reset by disconnecting/reconnecting 10 times, but it's not working either. Could you do a video on how to do this properly? It's like the speaker is just non-responsive.
@@Kanadiankyle586 Nope - Had to call in Support; they asked me to send it back in and they sent a new one back - Sometimes they're just defective. Good luck.
According to Google you can reset a devices wifi from with the Google Home app. - support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7170507?hl=en-GB " If your speaker or display is already set up on a Wi-Fi network but you need to change your Wi-Fi password or connect it to a new network, you'll need to forget your current Wi-Fi network and set up the device in the Google Home app again. 1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app. 2. Tap and hold your device's tile. 3. Tap Settings Settings and then Device information. 4. Tap Wi-Fi and then Forget this network. 5. Return to the Google Home app home screen and follow the setup steps above to connect your device to a new Wi-Fi network." However, as I always seem to get the following message: "If you get an error message that says 'could not communicate with your [device]' when you try to forget your network, or the steps above don't work, you'll need to factory reset your device and set it up again." I usually just factory reset and then set it up again from scratch. It saves me time in the long run.
Mine is totally unresponsive and won't even factory reset. Second time this has happened. If you want to return it google makes you pay full price to get a replacement. Then only after shipping back the broken speaker (at your own expense) you'll get your money back and it can take over a month before they give you your refund.
Thank you, man. I was struggling with this nest audio to reconnect after a WiFi upgrade. Google should pay you double for this Video.
SAME
Same. Thank u!!
Thanks. I literally Googled this and Google didn't mention it needed to have the microphone off in it's answer, so your video solved that!
Ditto geez Google a mystery button
I didn't realize I had to mute the mic first I was going insane! Thanks man.
I had no idea it had to be on MUTE. I was minutes away from trashing the device. Thank you for this video
Can't find Nest Audio in Home app. When turning off the mic I'm not seeing orange lights and I can press the top forever but no restart?

Now sorted. All behaving itself now.

If only this had a, change your WiFi settings, in the option. Apparently it doesn't and the only way to change networks is to factory reset it....
I had this issue too. Horrible decision to leave out that option.
Thanks 👍

I didnt even know it had a button there
takes too long to get to the point.
mute it with the switch and press and hold your finder on the top center
Hi
absolutely dumbest user experience. Google Home app isn't much better. So frustrating
I’m so frustrated with Google Home, why does Google insist on changing things around in the UI so much? They need to pick a design and stick to it.
Almost threw it to my closest cross street, 😅😮💨you’re a life savor man.🫡
Thanks you so much
Thanks
Thx mate
