As a busy working man, I personally okay with the curret cycle system (or the so called "dead weeks"). I dont need to hurry myself to clear new contents when they just released, and after I cleared them in my spare time I can just login for 15 minutes to spend stamina until a new patch/event come. If gacha games starting to shorten their cycle, I think me (and other busy adults who actually have money to spend) will be overwhelmed by the amount of new contents and might even drop the game entirely. Sure we might spend much money at the beginning due to excitement and hype, but with shorter cycle, any new contents will eventually be a burden. Dead weeks is kind of okay since that's the time I spend socializing with friends n family, or playing single-player non-gacha games like Elden Ring. The reason I started to play gacha games is actually to have some fun after I cleared single-player games and still waiting for new ones to be released.
Hard agree on this one, especially once school starts back up in the spring/fall many players suddenly won't have as much time to dedicate to their current gacha games anymore. Without having any sort of FOMO pushing them, the player base can enjoy what the games have to offer on their own time and actually touch grass instead of stressing about falling behind
I agree with everything you said, after all I'm one of these working man players, and I'm happy with the progression of Wuthering Waves (I haven't even finished exploring the entire map yet)
Now that's an statement I can agree, unlike some other games, I'm okay with taking my time, I'm close to 100% progress in the 1.0 map, and I still have time to explore the new quest/map even tho I got Jinshi and I need materials from the new zone.
I hope you are right my friend cause man I love this game I truly do I just wish we could play a little more RN but IK Kuro is working hard to make the quality amazing
@@GambaAJ no there isn't a lot of them, but the loud one's will always make themselves noticable in any community. I dont find this gacha games down time really problematic, I play hsr, genshin, wuwa and zzz also nikke and blue archive and having no problem, its how you manage your time, as a casual player with day job I am up to date on all the progression of all this game, I do quest on weekend and I can play other games and only spare an hour on weekdays just to do dailies before going to work. I think only content creators has those problems where they run out of things to do and progress since they make it full time playing this games so they more likely complain they pump out every frustration they have on the content they produce then find an echo chamber they could vent those frustration then when they hear something not align from what they are saying, they call those people toxic hence how you probably see the loud one's make themselves noticable.
Hm, that's kind of an interesting perspective. I kind of underestimate how people play a gacha game, but isn't every single one of them like a daily login simulator? Like, you can't do much more than tick off your events, your ToA/Abyss, login daily and move on. And for me personally, that is the reason, why I play some gachas (genshin, nikke and wuwa), because they don't demand much time and every once in a while I get a content drop to play through and that's more than enough tbh. I think, if you are looking for a game you can play 24/7, the gacha genre in general might not be the correct genre, they are satisfying side dishes and that's why they are great for me personally. Regarding WuWa specifically, I am actually burnt out by the echo farming, because I feel that wasn't the right approach to handle artifacts/relics (as in having a huuuuge timesink attached to it). For me the next best data bank QoL would be daily guaranteed echo drops, just like the weekly ones for 4 costs. Right now, it's just too timeconsuming for how boring the task is (zapping around waypoints, beating up weak trashmobs). And yea, the current banners are extended, because the 1.1 patch was released early and probably because of console release. It will settle into a 21 day rotation just like other titles, I guess.
its not that I want to play 24/7 I just want an extra event here an there and something new and permeant to do in future patches which I believe is not that hard to do I do not want this to be an MMO
@@GambaAJ I feel like regarding permanent content, WuWa already has it's feet up compared to other titles. Outside of ToA, we got holograms (kinda finite content for rewards, but replayable infinitely for fun) and we got Illusive Realm, which is fun to play through on reset unlocking all rewards. The new meta exploration patch rewards are also a great idea. That's kinda alot for a fresh 1.1 release game, so I am not worried about them having enjoyable content in the future once they settled in.
I agree with you on them giving us great content in future quality is not what I am worried about I think I just want it a little more faster but that's why I said in the video it just depends on who you are cause we all have different lives
One thing that's easy to overlook is how apparently cash strapped Kuro games was JUST prior to Wuthering Waves release according to the rumors. It was HUGE for them as far as I know just to get WuWa out the door and start getting that huge influx of cash for operating expenses alone. Considering some of the polish this game has, when you see how bad the localization and some of the voice acting direction...it's indicative of a game that was "almost" completely finished, but needed to hit a date. Combine that with the hiring they're doing for BOTH WuWa AND PGR and I feel as though in the not so distant future, we may see those new hires helping to increase the tempo at which we are getting patches. I may be COMPLETELY wrong here. However, if they were indeed financially limited and that burden has been lifted since release, it will still likely take some time for new hires to get acclimated and producing at the bar Kuro has set (at least with a faster cadence.). If all this is how it went down, the next few months all the way up to the one year anniversary will likely yield MORE content as they adjust to the success that this quality release has granted them. Provided they make the right decisions (and Kuro has been pretty good about showing players they're valued), we may see a more efficient team making the same or even possibly better quality content in the near future. Hopefully this isn't just wishful thinking, but that's what I've heard/read about Kuro surrounding the release of this game, and increased revenue combined with new hires sounds like there's REAL potential for improvement rather than just hoping something changes despite there being no impetus for said change. Just my (really long) 2 cents :)
i think their cycle is actually 6 weeks. but since 1.1 was released within 5 weeks of 1.0 thus they want to return their schedule as norma, thus they give a 7 weeks cycle this patch only. and 1.2 onwards it should be 6 weeks cycle again. and yes, this 7 weeks cycle is tbh annoying, i'm getting tired of waiting for changli
It's stupid. They're creating the same problem that they tried to solve by releasing 1.1 earlier, which was to provide players with content. Unless the real reason was to not coincide Jinhsi's banner with ZZZ's release. But then that would just show greed and not a care for players.
wuthering waves actually destroyed genshin for me but im not even mad. and i dont mind this 7 weeks cycle it gives them more time to work on the story, events, QoL and other things. right now with genshin, it feels like hoyo only goes for money instead for their players :/
@@tim57564 i feel the same. im just not motivates to even start genshin or hsr. i mean, i do have stuff to do but its not making that much fun and whats that weird theatre endgame mode in genshin?? its shit. why can i only use certain characters? why can i only use the characters twice? why am i forced to build characters i dont even want to play? why am i forced to play characters i dont even know how they work? i played like the first sequence and i got arlecchino and clorinde as trial characters. how do i know how to play them? two of the most boring characters
For me, the progression of updates is good. I played a lot in the first month, I read through all the content and ended up getting bored, then I just started doing the daily games and took a break. With the rush of everyday life it becomes more difficult to play for fun, I'm back to playing 1-2 hours a day and I'm really enjoying doing the content more slowly and farming a little each day.
This is agreeable, and I knew you were a man of sensibility when you mentioned how valuable time is. However... multiple content creators have made the point that no gacha game should ever be a gamer's "main game", and I absolutely agree with that. I split about 30-40 minutes per day between HSR and WuWa, and I then go to my real "main game"... which is currently Elden Ring (w/ DLC) and will probably be Black Myth Wukong one month from now. I'm fine with HSR & WuWa's "3-5 days of high playability every 1 to 1.5 months" although other players may not be.
oh ofc I'm not saying make it a main game however knocking it down by 1 week adding an extra event I feel is reasonable especially when they make the money back they spent on making the game they can also hire more staff other than that we are in agreement
yeah this is my only complaint in the game really. Echo exp is so hard to come by and you dont get alot from tacet fields, if they fix this ill have no other complaints personally
@effishcent317 yeah sadly, but they could put craftable weapon with atk% subs and crit buff on passive, like 8% crit rate or something just to make building easier for f2p I will put that as a suggestion in the next survey, I hope u guys do the same if you care about it.
Yo, to be honest, we all want this, me, OFCOURSE I want too. But you know what? after I've done with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 characters echoes, so what? I don't really need to farm more echoes, I don't really need to roll for more. I also can use the echoes for other new char, swipswap echo, since you can't use 6 characters in the same time, you can basically swap it, just like weapon. So yeah, its still a big deal ofc, but its not that crazy
6:33 Truth!!! It’s like that for a lot of gacha RPGs tbh. The community we build by talking about things and comment sections that allow people to relate to each other really help hold excitement. My reach isn’t as expansive, but I’ll talk about it too. So, hopefully some noise can be made, and Kuro can try to address it before it really starts to affect player retention
Personally have played Genshin since 1.0, HSR since 1.4, Wuwa since Yin Lin banner and Nikke since early 2023. I work 40+ hour a week job. Time saving is the most important thing to all these games. The reason I like HSR and Nikke over Genshin is because they have mostly optimized for saving time. Genshin has the issue of everything taking too long, mainly quest and exploration which is a majority of the game. Also the events only last at most 18 days, unlike HSR and Wuwa where they last the whole patch, aside from resource boost events. Wuwa has fixed a lot of the issues I have with Genshin's open world and quests. Unlimited stamina out of combat. Wall running up structures. Grapple hook everywhere. Skip button for dialogue. To me Genshin feels designed to waste your time. That's why I feel like a lot of players only play Genshin because it takes so long to do everything 😂 Once you're caught up it's fine, but when you're behind it takes forever. You have to use certain characters to make exploring faster. Dialogue from quests are extremely bloated and take forever to get through. I have stopped playing Genshin on and off because of how time consuming it is and also it just doesn't really feel worth it a lot of the time. HSR, Nikke and Wuwa have all felt worth it so far, so I'm gonna stick to them at least, but I'll probably drop Genshin again for awhile after i complete the last main quest 😂
@@GambaAJ Agreed. I think Wuwa is fine at the moment. If I want to play a bit more, I can farm some echoes from enemies or do the Illusory Realm, but otherwise I'll just play some other stuff until an event shows up. The game is enjoyable either way, but with more time saved I can enjoy other games too.
This is actually a very interesting perspective. I actually kinda enjoy what you're preaching against. I've only played two other Gacha games, Azur Lane and Reverse 1999. I haven't played Azur Lane in a while; kinda got bored of the combat. But I have been playing Reverse 1999 nonstop from launch. Pretty much all players including myself have gotten to the point where we can finish building our characters on day one when they launch. Reverse character building is a lot simpler and less grindy than WuWa but it is timegated. A large portion isn't linked to stamina but a TOA game mode. The newest character that had dropped I had built in 5 minutes after I pulled her. I didn't prefarm at all. I wasn't planning to pull for her but things happened. Thats the level of prebuilding we have and how easy it is. We finish new story content and there are small things like mini events and boss fights that drop. Other than that there's nothing much to do. Get "TOA" done and burn stamina by farming the event. Waiting until next patch for new story and characters. Rinse and repeat. We are in a different position as we do get to see 3 patches ahead in the CN server so we have claravoyance in character pulling. It might generate hype but also kills it since nothing is a surprise to global players. We know all the content we are getting in advance. What I'm trying to say is that I don't think there needs to be a lot of content in between patches. I don't think Gachas are supposed to be full time games. You play in bursts and then keep a consistent flow from dailies. It's not supposed to be something you can grind for hours and still have more to do. I'm not sure how this will affect WuWa and the hype as well as competition with other games but I do enjoy this type of game. Something that usually only take 10 minutes a day and occasionally I can play for an hour or two doing the new event, TOA, or a boss fight.
I totally agree with that. I'm also a R1999 player (day one but stopped due to lack of time, came back lately for Isolde), and a HSR/Wuwa/Pokémon Masters player on top of that - and I have 2 accounts to manage on HSR so it's a big part of my routine (its the gacha I love the most and the one I'm the least "casual" on) Gachas aren't main games, they're mainly side games you play for like 10 minutes and that's it. Some like HSR or Wuwa have content that can make you stay more time if you wish to (echo farming on Wuwa, and an equivalent of the somnoire mode / toa mode on hsr if you want to optimize your rotations and get big dmg per screenshot etc). But the point of gachas is that they shouldn't be as time consuming as a "main game" is, and I feel a lot of content creators wish those games had more content for them to do videos on. The problem is that, as another comment pointed out, the main spenders are the adults that actually don't have as much time to spend on those games - so you cannot put too much content out of the daily loop because if you do those adults won't have the time to catch up, they'll get frustrated and they'll just drop the game. I think the gachas are fine as is in terms of events, especially Wuwa as if you really want to grind the game off you have the mine shop, you have the echo exp grinding (you can actually grind xp for echo leveling by breaking the new mining material in mt firmament), you have echo grinding too.... To have downtime in gacha games means also more time to focus on character leveling as YOU wish (because for example the event we have rn is "forcing" us to spend half of our daily stamina on forgery/level mats/money) and more time to explore the maps, which is a big part of this game too... What I mean is : events are not events if they're always present, and it's great to have downtime sometimes especially as in Wuwa the cost of leveling 1 team is so huge I was broke after leveling one character alone, let people have a breather especially since those kinds of game are a marathon, not a sprint, by overplaying/having too much content to do at once people will just be overwhelmed To talk about r1999 when I came back to the game I had this exact impression - there's the event, so I want to do the event, but there's also the story to do, and my characters are not leveled so I have to do that to have access to the stages I need to complete for the event, and omg I have the returning player bonuses I have to use them, etc etc. You don't know what to do so you do nothing and get away from the game easily.
@@GambaAJ Wuthering Waves has the combat, character Detail and Variation, and the versatility of echoes that Azure Pom, Neverness, Project Mugen don't have. Project Mugen and Neverness being an urban set up, is way different than Wuthering Waves. Azure Pom currently looks like closer to Genshin Impact but aesthetic leans to Neptunia style than actual Azure Lane. Unless these 3 games would be willing to do more than the guaranteed weapon banner in WuWa, and lower pity than WuWa... I really just think it's game and character design that would make people move to those games permanently. But seeing the current trailers for Azure Pom and Neverness, that's a big doubt. Especially for Neverness, they're running UE5? Goodluck to mobile players, they can barely even handle WuWa Project Mugen just started moving when ZZZ cameout, they have lots of characters with overlapping character design with ZZZ so I think their competition would me more into ZZZ and Neverness than WuWa
There needs to be some side activities in wuwa for everyday. Something like teapot, dating sim or atleast something to do which is not related to using stamina and at same time it's optional for less time people
I would say also for the community as well content wise I am doing good but an extra event and maybe a new future permanent endgame mode would not hurt
Yeah there's barely any coverage for the game now. Everyone's migrated to ZZZ and, ok I get that it's the new hot game but I don't think it's going to reverse anytime soon. 1.2 will not have a continuation of the main story and will not have new open world areas. The rest of 1.1 is also barren. We're looking at 9-10 weeks (2.5 months) of non meaningful content ahead. What can CCs cover?
This is still the early stage if wuwa if you dive into Pgr you tell tell how overwhelming it will be in the future for new players for content Anyway I hope they add more events in rotation with more replay value However I actually like that they don't force you to log in every day and week so you aren't strangeheld into spending more time than you need to on them Longer patches let them develop more hopefully in the future they shorten the patches when their dev team grows more
Fellow pgr enjoyer, nice, I'm sure that they will take some content from PGR as events, since the events there are also quite enjoyable, even the rock paper scissor, sudoku event before introducing a character that lasted 3-5 days was fun (for me at least) and I'm hoping for more rhythm based mini games tbh, I really loved the one we had in PGR before
Hoyo has created the standard of releasing significant game expansions in the first 3 patches of a game's major update (versions x.0, x.1, x.2). We're almost halfway through 1.1 and there's already content drought. Not to mention, leaks indicate that 1.2 will not have a continuation of the main story and no new overworld areas. Kuro aren't beholden to Hoyo's practices, but it's looking like WuWa won't be receiving any meaningful additions for the next 9-10 weeks. That is a long time and WuWa could risk a large exodus of players, especially when ZZZ has just released and Natlan is on the horizon. Look, I'm all for devs taking their time but 2.5 months is frankly unacceptable. The game should've stayed in beta if it can't provide meaningful content throughout the first 3 months of release.
I think it's intentional. They know lots of players will try out zzz no matter what since it's a newly launch game, so they find it better to have a dead period temporary now rather than force them to use up their time fomo play wuwa when they want to play zzz. I remembered back then in tof, the limited time events tried to force me into hours of gameplay to fomo all the free gems/pulls when a new region in genshin was just released. It took too much of my time and the fomo is too aggressive so I just quit tof lol. Gachas need dead periods.
i agree.. they either have to change cycle a bit or 1. they can add new 4 stars which are easy to get and then ppl can experiment with new character builds.. rn we have limited roster and there are not many teams u can make for each character.. most of them have just 1-2 team that plays the same.. in genshin we can make vape, freeze now with dendro hyperboom, aggrovate and all sort of teams with same 4-5 characters.. 2. can add new echo effect sets that again gives ppl something new to try in meantime 3. instead of giving 30 pulls through login and such.. they should make an ez combat event.. doesn't even have to be domain based like aloy smelt.. just some open world task like killing mobs that drop limited time materials which u can exchange in shop for those pulls.. and it expands over patch.. so people always have something to do daily 4. events.. now genshin does this too well.. every patch has 2 weeks long event that can be done within a week.. but it keeps game relevant no matter how garbage the event is.. 4. increase freaking drop rates ig.. now i know why they have made waveplates spending so costly and why drop rates are so low.. they want us to spend lotta time on building characters since character roster is just small.. but building 1 character without even minmaxing take forever.. theres no room for experiment.. whenever i think of building some nich character like lets just say i wanna build taoqi just for fun.. i think abt the slow grinding especially building lvl 25 def echos from the scratch and it immediately drops my mood..
@@ExDik1 ehh nobody cares abt elemental reaction.. thats genshins thing.. wuwa has intro outro buffs and forte that functions similar to elemental reactions.. theres certainly a lot to experiment with.. like taoqi actually buffs jinhsi skill damage.. and taoqi is also one of the best tank in game that doesn't have trash dual scaling but just def scaling so she gets tankier + do more damage cuz def scaling.. and for casuals this games harder content does require tank unlike other games where having tank is practically useless
this 7 week patch before 1.2 is rough but im hopefull that it gives the devs enough time to fix the performance issues people still experience especially in android phones
We need to take into consideration: 1. These games are waaay harder to make content on. The quality of the game makes it more time consuming and most other gachas are not like that. Also: They already mentioned that after the success they will hire more devs. This will speed up the process. And we can be save that they will hear us when it really becomes a problem. NOT LIKE CERTAIN OTHER COMPANIES.
I think what Wuwa needs is to provide NON-FOMO content in their open world for players that want to play them, while keeping the cycle as it is right now. Currently, it's a comfy cycle for me being busy with work and life. By NON-FOMO content, I mean along the line of farming echoes that we have right now. I'm pretty sure many of players have been farming echoes at some point at their own comfort (Because there are no big limited-time rewards attached to it). Unfortunately, echo progression is time gated by Echo EXP, Shells, Tuner, which actually undermine the activity of echo farming (which includes running around and enjoying the open world). I think this what makes many people feels that there is a "Dead weeks" Imagine this, Kuro gives more echo EXP per waveplate, Echoes can be recycled into Echo EXP, reduce Shell price for Tuning and raising echo level. Here what I think will happen: Players that have lots of time to play, can enjoy progressing their echo progression, and have fun in the open world without feeling not rewarded. Players that don't have lots of time can enjoy the game as it is right now (Not having the best echo, but can still progress at their own pace) Less people buying astrites/lunites (Lesser income) I'm not sure if this will happen, as I know it will cut their income. And I think the chinese players are perfectly happy with buying astrites for waveplates.
"Players that don't have lots of time can enjoy the game as it is right now (Not having the best echo, but can still progress at their own pace)" I farmed so much they told me I reached my bag limit, and I STILL don't have the best echoes. 😣 Send help 😆😆
@@EXTRA_WAVY Exactly why I'm correct at this. Which is, we need more Echo EXP per waveplate. The reason, u're bag is full, because you don't have the echo exp and shells to be done with them. And this cause you to stop farming echoes, which means there is nothing to do in Wuwa until you get more Shells and Echo EXP (And this is timegated). The fix is simple, like I said, increase Echo Exp, reduce shell cost, Echo can be recycled into Echo EXP.
@@DisIngRaM "Exactly why I'm correct at this." Chill. No one's arguing, brother. 😆👍🏽 I'm just pointing out my experience to demonstrate the fact that, more time and materials does not always equal better echoes. Some people will just be luckier even if we had infinite materials. Nonetheless, it would be nice to have more materials. I'd like more, but no matter how much they give it will never be enough for some players. I cannot say exactly what the right balance should be tho. I'm actually releasing a video around this subject later today (probably). If you're interested in hearing a NewTuber's perspective and some potential solutions to this issue, give it a listen when it drops
I personally don't feel burdened (? LOL) by these gaps. I'm playing some other games now and I'm happy to just do dailies, look at how beautiful the game is, enjoy my battle, and do other games.
as for someone who's not pulling for Changli this patch is gonna be a long boring one since there's not much to do and that's the reason why I gave ZZZ a chance and now I quite enjoy it
Things I think would help. 1. Allow us to keep getting money and upgrade mats from battle pass instead of it ending at 70. 2. Open ToA to weekly rewards 3. Give us a way to earn (even if low drop rate) for upgrade mats in over world so we could farm them along with echoes. 4. GIVE US MORE ECHO MATS!!
how i wish they could've just overlapped the banners just like what they did with jiyan and yinlin if they're taking this long for this patch. hopefully they're really cooking something up for 1.2 as many don't really like what they're seeing so far with the characters but we'll see as soon as it arrives.
Unfortunately, leaks show that there isn't a continuation of the main story (exploring the Black Shores organization) in 1.2 as that'll coincide with Camellya's banner (likely 1.3). There also won't be new overworld areas in 1.2. Crazy how WuWa's 3rd patch will be a filler one.
I honestly don't mind it, I'll just let them cook, I was able to wait until Alpha CW was announced in CN, and waited again until she released in global, 1 week is a small difference from that experience, Waiting for the skin now which is like 1 year away
skin from PGR yes, however, considering the skins they released there, I'm sure the skins they release in wuwa, *if they do* are going to be a total banger, I'm aiming for the latest Alpha CW skin, check it out if you want to, see what they can do with skins :)
Agreed, my echoes for Changli and the new electro dude is already complete, just need to prefarm money and some materials. Already in waiting mode even before changli release
6 weeks would be perfect BUT i think it's ok for now since they have time to fix little things here n there. I believe they'll shrink to 6 weeks in a couple of months.
it's a drawback from cutting off a week from 1.0. Only time will tell if they'll cut off a week for 1.2 or not and i don't think it's a major problem since for f2p that's more deadweek to stack up astirites for more rolls
I'm pretty sure it's just 1.1 that's 7 weeks, since 1.0 was 5 weeks to even it out to 6 weeks average. 1.2 and onward will be 6 weeks. Of course correct me if I'm wrong.
I think you may be right I just hope it's not a future thing that stays plus I would also Like an extra event and a future permanent game mode I think this would satisfy all players
@@GambaAJ Yeah, would be great with an extra event, and I do believe they'll add more permanent game modes in the future. We just gotta give them some time.
It does feel like we've got a whole lot of time full of nothing, but I keep telling myself it's more time to pre-farm materials for Xiangli Yao. And I can go back to weaving when I'm not busy while waiting for new content.
Nah they'd go back to a 6 week cycle. The reason 1.1 became 7 weeks was because they released 1.1 one week ahead of schedule to avoid ZZZ's launch. I'm assuming after Changli we'd go straight to 1.2 and from then on the 6 week cycle continues
I already am feeling it, i log on and do my dailies, spend my waveplates which gets you such a small am cause everything just costs so much waveplates. Tacet fields are a scam but the alternative is running around for 4 hours to not even get anything guaranteed. I've already beaten all the content and pretty much have only tower of adversity and the last difficulties of holograms left, but im pretty much just dps checked or I'm left with seconds to complete which just makes the experience in wuwa feel so empty since it feels like all i can do is echo farm which already sucks even with the 21 databank buff (ehem, 3cost echoes and echo exp drought). My friends already dropped the game recently and have been playing ZZZ as we all play Genshin, HSR, ZZZ and used to play wuwa but now I'm the only one left on wuwa. It is also important to mention that the new content is very nice but when it comes to characters i feel personally underwhelmed. the guy and glasses girl look cool ig but we need supports and we're getting niche sub dps and 2 new dps. makes me feel bored cause i have only 1 verina and baizhi lol, would be nice to have a 3rd.
They really need to improve echo farming/building. There's no reason for it to be locked behind daily resets and expensive currencies because it's all rng based, meaning the chances of you getting an op echo is very small. There's leaks of Kuro introducing a new item that allows you to reroll echo sub stats for 1.2, but we're not sure if it's real or how hard it will be to farm said item. I hope they address it soon.
Disagree. I haven't done a single waveplate reset and have 3 full sets (Fusion, Electro, and Havoc) with all pieces having double crit. The 4th one I'm working on (Moonlit) has 3/5 pieces with double crit. I like how much players are struggling because it helps to differentiate between the normies and those who know how to manipulate the rng in their favor. Get good.
Personally, I don't mind the down time. I usually dislike open world games so this gave me a lot of time to finally clear the map. Now, I can finally focus on getting echoes and especially farming mats for Changli. I play WuWa, PGR and HSR. As much as I want to spend a whole day playing games non-stop, I have other responsibilities so I like that I can play these games with just the time I'm willing to give. I also play on mobile more often so it's great that I can play them all on the go. My only gripe with WuWa besides Echo farming is that we need more waveplates. Farming mats are pretty easy but I feel like we don't get enough of them even at higher Union levels so it's either that or they reduce Waveplate costs on farming nodes.
as an HSR player too, I really like how quick dailies are and how "rewarding" they are in terms of stamina spent/return you get compared to WUWA. Totally agree, time is a currency too and it's great that we can mostly hop in for 10 minutes unless we feel like it or there's an event (which lasts long enough so that we don't need to day one everything)
Its good that they are taking there time and brought the extra week for 1.1, hopefully they will then make it 6 weeks and if they don't have a event so players can feel like they are getting something for that extra week
@@kingsimba9513 they will probably have some filler events for 1.2 so I dont think so but if the rumors are true of a free 5 star that could keep players still playing. Right now I think the extra week is also to help their devs and workers take a break and work on getting future updates ready due to how busy they where constantly fixing bugs at the start. I do think 1.2 is going to be more of a filler but still going to be good.
The driving force of long term gacha games is wanting to pull for new characters and weapons. You like the world, the story and action is interesting. But what keeps you farming and grinding for pulls, is that new shiny thing you want to get. Characters are the main “reward” for playing even during the boring times. I’m a grown woman and usually prefer to pull for the male characters. Depending on games there can be really long gaps before a new one gets released. (For example Genshin has been extremely disappointing after 10 months of only female 5stars.) The motivation to play starts to vanish. What’s the point of farming stuff when there’s no one to use it for. There needs to be something besides the characters to keep you interested to stay in the game. Otherwise it’s just a click in click out thing until a banner you like drops.
@@GambaAJ it's boring and nothing to in my account 🥱 echo exp is much more expensive 🤣 and sub stats is trash unlike Genshin you can feed lower artifacts to get stats
@@ExDik1so play genshin than? U got unlimited echo farming, blue/pink tuners can be converted into gold tuners and yet Ur comparing it with genshin limited farming?
As for 7 weeks I would agree it's a little long, but we know why that happened (and it's certainly not because a certain other gacha company tried to sabotage Kuro *cough*). So Kuro will return to their regularly scheduled updates soon.
I'm kind of surprised how many comments here are advocating for having less content. I wish we lived in a world where the core of a game like Wuwa would exist inside of a fully fledged live service game. I don't think it's wrong to build systems where you can grind to improve your account / have more game to play. Right now for my account at least there is nothing I can really do besides dailies. Level one echo up and maybe get a new skill level for a character, but besides that i'm as far as I can get in the tower and already beat the IR.
I am assuming that this patch was 7 weeks because of Kuro's preparation for PS5 release. Let's check by 1.2 if this 7 weeks will continue. If it does, we have a lot of dead weeks with not much happening in Wuwa. If it doesn't continue, then all the better for us since we have more things to do in Wuwa.
Im a freak and play: Azur Lane, Nikke, Brown Dust 2, Blue Archive, Snowbreak, Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero and AFK Journey and do dailys and weeklies in all of them so WuWa being on a 7 week cycle didnt bother me as i always had something to do xD
Dude exactly. So many people are short-sighted and say they are f2p so certain things don’t apply to them. Like, my man every moment you spend your time not making money is essentially you spending money. The saying “time is money” came about for a reason.
Yeah i stop playing Wuthering waves after a month the grind is just much an it aint worth it. I grind much echoes just to get copium stuff... I was hoping they have livestream every patch just to keep up with the momentum but its super dry that all i see is 2-3 min trailer of the next patch dev note pad...i was hoping for premium treatment but if feels so cheap....there is no WuWA road map to get idea what to expect in the future. Plus most my friend who played the game just drop it after 2-3 weeks.
That's what's good with WuWa though Why would you want future content to be spoiled? I'd like a game that focuses on gameplay rather than games that focuses on advertisement and spread of word. Let the gameplay speak for itself. If you're a player that likes gossips/leaks, then that's on you.
@@akasahi9315 but there is more to a game than just gameplay tho, u need to keep players engaged it isn't like the gameplay is going to entirely keep u playing bc if that were true then people wouldn't be complaining abt the grinding of the game bc the gameplay is so good, u need to have actual good content and something for people to look forward to which is kinda why roadmaps really benefits gacha games, it let's u know what u should wait for and be excited for
Give us a Dungeon Builder mode a la Mario Maker with an ID system that we can share and search on a Dungeon Builder mode with preview screens of what's been made and have it be Multiplayer compatible... endless fun and with lots of fun to share while we wait between patches after all the content has been exhausted and puts less pressure on the developers as they develop more content.... because the community will be/can be busy with this community made content to test out characters, have fun with their friends, make intricate while challenging obstacle/enemy courses where the reward is the challenge and self-fulfilling. Genshin did this for like 2 events, but never made it a permanent game mode... ID system and all. It's baffling as to why they haven't made that a perma mode especially that 2nd event where you could actually put enemies and bosses + obstacle courses in your creations + playing together with other people... why is that not permanent? There's a lot of dead air at the end of patches and if you've been playing since day 1... there's no much to do than resin/waveplates/energy dumping and working on more characters... even if we don't want to... because there's not much else to do. WuWa should get ahead of this, just like they have gotten ahead on so many things that Genshin is currently lacking... by adding a Dungeon Builder. Also take notes from their other game PGR, add a Norman type mode and many of their battle events they do almost every patch in PGR. Limit Break, Babel, and so many others that they can copy from their other title... don't just take notes and copy and paste only from Genshin.
Ive been so bored since i 100% the entife map and completed the achievements i pretty much maxed out the things that can be max out there"s no asterites that can be collected except from the dailies and maybe some events....
personally I think that the progression of wuwa was a bit too fast. in genshin leveling up was a a lot slower compared to wuwa. some people struggle to get to AR 60 but people are already at UL 60. maybe If they add more levels higher than SOL PHASE 8, it will add more depth and skill gap between levels. And I think that might be cool. imagine being UL100 and its as hard to get as AR60, and I like imagining the difficulty gap between UL 40 - UL 70+, they need to make the game significantly more rewarding but also raise the difficulty cap for the fellow grinders. cause as stated in the videos after we finish all the content in the update its just another 3+ weeks of waiting. raising the max level wont hurt the skill floor but raises the skill ceiling for people who want a harder game, and people who want content to finish. the rewards you get from higher union levels arent significant. not in the slightest.
I think that after playing Genshin as my first gatcha game I simply have to acknowledge that these are side games and don't really have sustainable content to play it like it was a full fledged game. Its simple better have other games or activities to jump to after you run out of content and stamina. WuWa besides combat related events and combat has open worlds to expand which takes development time for a company with much less manpower that Hoyoverse. So having a 7 week cycle makes sense to me. Maybe as they grow it may be reduced.
I think this gonna be more of a problem with CCs and hardcores than normal casual players. But I also agree with his take. Maybe they can add some sandbox building settlement where echoes can work. Or maybe add another permanent game mode like infinite wave of TD until all your resonators die and you can earn simulation points. because lets be real holograms are not for evryone specially casuals. Also maybe they can add leaderboards for whales and hardcores on holograms.
@@GambaAJ yea, I think I would like to have the infinite TD wave mode if possible that way I can use all the chracters that I built and want. Leaderboards for holograms would be great too but they need to fix the hologram exploit first 😂
yeah that td mode could be cool, it's cool content for CCs to use, cool content for players to grind if they wish to and it can be fun. I hugely agree with the "CCs and hardcores" take, casual players don't mind having more downtime to actually build and farm for their characters to clear the future events better, I know I'm taking my time as a f2p there's not much I can actually do besides farming for money and mats to level up my characters, and I can spend more time with my friends, family and on other games too if I wish.
I think the big gap in patch mite be due to hoyo schedule, im not sure what or who is in charge of release dates but, they had to release yin lin early & now the xtra long patch waiting time. Im just guessing that they playing chess & hoyo got more pcs on the board & can drop live stream during jinshi release, to redirect hype. Maybe im crazy, but the game industry in china is brutal, they on another lvl.
to be honest, I only think they lack advertising or posting updates or announcements in their social media outlets. they should interact more with players and people in social media platforms, not just posting events that will come out near that date.
I get you got to do videos for your channel, but this is a worry for ALL gacha games and thus, as you said with the golden age section, there is choice. So this isn't a problem or worry at all. In the future, they will have more general content to keep people busy between the core/meaty stuff. Examples such as race events, and more double events, and climbing events, puzzle events, search & find stuff events. They have already setup for the memories/pictures of locations. "Fun fairs" can be added for towns or city, so you can do fun mini games for scores and prizes etc. etc. But early days are always light, once you get everything done. Just enjoy the daily login with the stamina and dailies, and see what actually happens.
They desperately need to make actual weekly content. They can simply copy paste PGR weeklies and it be ten times better than what wuwa currently has. Make their story dungeons replayable, have random enemies, random loot of choice at the end. Illusive realm needs more variance, several random areas, and weekly reset. Tower of Adversity needs to change, less annoying trash, more elite snd boss only matches, and different areas.
I'm a working adult. While not a whale, I'm quite high in my spending. I have Yinlin C1 and her weapon. I'm a billion patches behind in Genshin, and a few patches behind in HSR. I'm playing ZZZ. HSR is better for me cause I can auto-pilot and open it up during lunch at work. The only reason I open Genshin is when friends call for mats run on discord during weekend. If WuWa rolls out more content, I think I'll fall behind and churn easily. Especially cause WuWa's story, which you called amazing, is kinda meh to me. It's the combat and skill expression that I like.
actually i share the same sentiment with you, wuwa has got to step it up to make the players engaged in grinding for the rest of the patch. Because after you finished exploring and doing the new patch, there's nothing more to do except for the dailies and TOA (unless you managed to finish it already). They have to release lots of Companion Stories for 4-stars characters, and some in-game events, since most people are more invested in the lore itself
@@GambaAJ yeah, i heard leaks like that too, dunno if it's true tho. I hope it's true, I don't want a filler patch, Probably everyone don't want a filler patch.
People don't need to play other gacha durning downtime, there are plenty great other games. I think for casual player there is enough content between patches.
I do understand your point here, but if you really new in gacha games? its still normal when you run out of the content especially if the game was still in early version (yes, every gacha games have same situation). Unfortunately WuWa doesn't have weekly content like PGR "warzone" and "phantom pain cage" or even the hardest challenging mode like "babel tower" yet So.. my point is, let them cook~
I'm in the extreme minority that hasn't even finished 1.0. my characters are super weak and upgrading Rover takes time 😅but yeah I'm Gucci tbh in regards to content still have a bunch to catch up to. And if not I have like 8 other gacha stories to catch up to.
I havent started wuwa yet just observing on updates but let's see if we can pull changli on first 10pulls if the resources are stillt here if not it is what it is
I don't disagree with most of the points you've made in this vid, but I'm still having a great time with Wuwa right now. I'm somewhat glad there's not a lot going on cus I'm just focused on building my characters. I'm also playing ZZZ on the side but I don't really love it and I'm gonna drop it the second Wuwa comes to console tbh. I'm also interested in project Mugen, and also (less so) in azur promilia, but I definitely won't be dropping Wuwa for them
This is just my opinion, feel free to disagree of course. Honestly, this mindset that games should have infinite amounts of content just so that players do not feel "Bored" is the actual real problem in my opinion... Please guys, during the "down time", go touch some grass, or maybe play another game, play Elden ring, baldurs gate 3, idk, just go play something else, and enjoy it, live service and competitive games are not the only thing that's out there, remember that games are supposed to be fun, and not a job in which you HAVE to login everyday, you HAVE to always have something to do, in the end it's just a videogame, it should not be taking every waking second of every waking day you have...
I was going to quit Star Rail but, the upcoming characters have kept me just logging in and doing the bare minimum for Steller Jades until they release. I do not think I will ever touch Genshin again. The management treats players like s***. Most other gatcha's now give at least one 5 star character for anniversary rewards. Not Genshin. 3 years 3 pulls.
I don't have time to play video games all day so I still have plenty to do. I'm a casual player with a simple build. 4 crit rate, 4 crit rate, 4 crit damage, and standard lvl 5 weapon. So what if it takes me longer to kill? That's why I cheat.
Like with any other game, if you finish all the content you can just go play something else. I'm aware it puts content creators in a tough place and I'm not really sure what can be done about that, but at least for the rest of us I don't really get why that's an issue. Just clear the content, have your fun, then come back when more content drops.
I don't really see the issue tbh. Yes I would love for content to come out faster, but I have a life. I have stuff to do. Some people are grinding through this game way too fast. I have been playing for like 3 weeks and I still have the entirety of patch 1.1 content to do. The game just came out so I am in no hurry. And since WuWa has the most fun gameplay of all the gachas I like, I probably will never drop it. Even if a better gacha comes out, I can still open WuWa whenever I feel like it and have a good time.
So the people who are not dedicated to playing the game and would rather spend their time and even money on other games, want their chosen side game to have less content in the game? If anything wuthering waves should make more content with good rewards to attract people to spend time playing THEIR game, making people have no incentives to play their game, that would make them lose the serious players who want to invest into the game. A free to play who plays 10 gacha games has zero value to a game company, same as content creators who just want different games for more opportunity for click bait content.
Guys if they were to knock it down by 1 week I think it would feel better Hopefully they will make a change soon
You can't avoid boredom/burnout with games, just human nature
TY for sharing your perspective
Hard agree on this one, especially once school starts back up in the spring/fall many players suddenly won't have as much time to dedicate to their current gacha games anymore. Without having any sort of FOMO pushing them, the player base can enjoy what the games have to offer on their own time and actually touch grass instead of stressing about falling behind
This, exactly this.
I think because the 1.1 patch is released early thats the reason why the banners are extended by 1 week I think.
I hope you are right my friend cause man I love this game I truly do I just wish we could play a little more RN but IK Kuro is working hard to make the quality amazing
@@GambaAJ yeah I saw the leaks for zhezhi and yao and their animations are amazing.
You are 100% correct. They rushed 1.1 by 1 week due to ZZZ. But they cannot rush future works, so had to extend 1.2 release by 1 week.
@KOBKStreak god you all fqing stpid...they rushed 1.1 not because zzz but because dogshit state of game and bugs
Dont lump the bad genshin players together. I am perfectly happy balancing wuwa and genshin.
ok my b but there are a lot of them
me2 and hsr(i just afk run domains in that game now lol)
@@GambaAJall franchise have toxic players, even PGR
Fuck Genshin
They are yeah
This is the right answer ❤
Just my (really long) 2 cents :)
yeah this makes sense TY for the insight
i think their cycle is actually 6 weeks. but since 1.1 was released within 5 weeks of 1.0 thus they want to return their schedule as norma, thus they give a 7 weeks cycle this patch only. and 1.2 onwards it should be 6 weeks cycle again.
and yes, this 7 weeks cycle is tbh annoying, i'm getting tired of waiting for changli
ok I'm glad were in agreement hopefully you are right
It's stupid.
@@RoseCookiASMR very true
WuWa destroyed my desire to play any hoyo games. Feels nice being respected by a gacha company
We need more echo exp!
True I think they are working on that behind the scenes I might be wrong but I think they are
yeah this is my only complaint in the game really. Echo exp is so hard to come by and you dont get alot from tacet fields, if they fix this ill have no other complaints personally
And more new good 4 star weapons, like with atk% and crit subs
@effishcent317 yeah sadly, but they could put craftable weapon with atk% subs and crit buff on passive, like 8% crit rate or something just to make building easier for f2p
I will put that as a suggestion in the next survey, I hope u guys do the same if you care about it.
So yeah, its still a big deal ofc, but its not that crazy
you forgot one thing, there are players that play only a certain game and stir some drama on their free time.
hahahaha that's true so far I have covered the big dramas but so far now it has been quiet
On the plus side, if the game starts to struggle, they are gonna start dropping freebies galore.
Done!! @GambaAJ I just uploaded my take on this topic 👍🏽✨
Yeah once again IDK want a game where we play 24/7 just a give us an extra event every patch and 6 weeks standard cycles would be nice is all
@@GambaAJ Agreed.
Well keep in mind where not at that crazy point yet once AZUR POM, NEVERNESS, AND PROJECT MUGEN COMES OUT THEY ALL FIGHTING FOR SPOTS
I totally agree with that. I'm also a R1999 player (day one but stopped due to lack of time, came back lately for Isolde), and a HSR/Wuwa/Pokémon Masters player on top of that - and I have 2 accounts to manage on HSR so it's a big part of my routine (its the gacha I love the most and the one I'm the least "casual" on)
Gachas aren't main games, they're mainly side games you play for like 10 minutes and that's it.
What I mean is : events are not events if they're always present, and it's great to have downtime sometimes especially as in Wuwa the cost of leveling 1 team is so huge I was broke after leveling one character alone, let people have a breather especially since those kinds of game are a marathon, not a sprint, by overplaying/having too much content to do at once people will just be overwhelmed
To talk about r1999 when I came back to the game I had this exact impression - there's the event, so I want to do the event, but there's also the story to do, and my characters are not leveled so I have to do that to have access to the stages I need to complete for the event, and omg I have the returning player bonuses I have to use them, etc etc.
Goodluck to mobile players, they can barely even handle WuWa
Project Mugen just started moving when ZZZ cameout, they have lots of characters with overlapping character design with ZZZ so I think their competition would me more into ZZZ and Neverness than WuWa
At the moment, I would like that unwanted echos could be discarded to level up other echoes, and a bit more of activities to help on downtimes.
I agree with this 100%
Maybe. Just reduce the exp gained from unwanted echoes. maybe equal to green sealed tube.
There needs to be some side activities in wuwa for everyday. Something like teapot, dating sim or atleast something to do which is not related to using stamina and at same time it's optional for less time people
Actually there are some side quests but the problem is that it want show in menu we have to go to particular place
yeah I think we will get those things that's why I hope there working on something big with the extra week
I have noticed that as well certain side quest pop up in certain locations
yes there will be ventually remember this is 1.1
Eh... the teapot and companion thingies are just a chore to me. Still have 10 that I will never do, even for primos.
TOF, Aether Gazer and WUWA
I've played all 3 games
Based on my observation
Wuwa got some problem on content for content creators
I would say also for the community as well content wise I am doing good but an extra event and maybe a new future permanent endgame mode would not hurt
Yeah there's barely any coverage for the game now. Everyone's migrated to ZZZ and, ok I get that it's the new hot game but I don't think it's going to reverse anytime soon.
1.2 will not have a continuation of the main story and will not have new open world areas. The rest of 1.1 is also barren. We're looking at 9-10 weeks (2.5 months) of non meaningful content ahead. What can CCs cover?
what do u expect for gacha games then?
@@kingsimba9513everyone? 😂.
@@ThepursuitofHappiness-fb8iy yes everyone
This is still the early stage if wuwa if you dive into Pgr you tell tell how overwhelming it will be in the future for new players for content
Anyway I hope they add more events in rotation with more replay value
However I actually like that they don't force you to log in every day and week so you aren't strangeheld into spending more time than you need to on them
Longer patches let them develop more hopefully in the future they shorten the patches when their dev team grows more
Thats what I think will happen as well
Fellow pgr enjoyer, nice, I'm sure that they will take some content from PGR as events, since the events there are also quite enjoyable, even the rock paper scissor, sudoku event before introducing a character that lasted 3-5 days was fun (for me at least) and I'm hoping for more rhythm based mini games tbh, I really loved the one we had in PGR before
true
@@kingsimba9513 hm...I'd rather wait. 2.5 months ain't too long.
I understand that as well I think Kuro has done a good job though balancing characters so that some you can skip if you want
zzz boring..
i agree.. they either have to change cycle a bit or
1. they can add new 4 stars which are easy to get and then ppl can experiment with new character builds.. rn we have limited roster and there are not many teams u can make for each character.. most of them have just 1-2 team that plays the same.. in genshin we can make vape, freeze now with dendro hyperboom, aggrovate and all sort of teams with same 4-5 characters..
2. can add new echo effect sets that again gives ppl something new to try in meantime
3. instead of giving 30 pulls through login and such.. they should make an ez combat event.. doesn't even have to be domain based like aloy smelt.. just some open world task like killing mobs that drop limited time materials which u can exchange in shop for those pulls.. and it expands over patch.. so people always have something to do daily
4. events.. now genshin does this too well.. every patch has 2 weeks long event that can be done within a week.. but it keeps game relevant no matter how garbage the event is..
4. increase freaking drop rates ig.. now i know why they have made waveplates spending so costly and why drop rates are so low.. they want us to spend lotta time on building characters since character roster is just small.. but building 1 character without even minmaxing take forever.. theres no room for experiment.. whenever i think of building some nich character like lets just say i wanna build taoqi just for fun.. i think abt the slow grinding especially building lvl 25 def echos from the scratch and it immediately drops my mood..
I would still like the login and the extra event I think that would make it feel better
We can't experiment right now because not enough materials for echo exp and stats is trash and no elemental mechanics which is boring
@@sarcastoon677 yeah we need also shielder at wuwa we need more echo exp and lvl up materials Genshin have everything no one can defeat Hoyoverse game
@@ExDik1 ehh thats over statement.. i play all games.. i find genshin boring in combat department.. its okay to be unique in different aspects
Brooo absolutely beautiful thumbnail really love it ❤❤
Thank you so much
this 7 week patch before 1.2 is rough but im hopefull that it gives the devs enough time to fix the performance issues people still experience especially in android phones
1.2 will be even more rough. No continuation of the main story and no new overworld areas. 6 weeks of pure filler. How fun.
Yeah but I Heard KURO is cooking something big. So give them some time to breathe
Hopefully Kuro is doing something big I do Trust them and love WuWa
We need to take into consideration:
Very true I agree with you on that in Kuro we trust
I think this what makes many people feels that there is a "Dead weeks"
Imagine this, Kuro gives more echo EXP per waveplate, Echoes can be recycled into Echo EXP, reduce Shell price for Tuning and raising echo level.
Here what I think will happen:
Players that have lots of time to play, can enjoy progressing their echo progression, and have fun in the open world without feeling not rewarded.
Players that don't have lots of time can enjoy the game as it is right now (Not having the best echo, but can still progress at their own pace)
Less people buying astrites/lunites (Lesser income)
I'm not sure if this will happen, as I know it will cut their income. And I think the chinese players are perfectly happy with buying astrites for waveplates.
"Players that don't have lots of time can enjoy the game as it is right now (Not having the best echo, but can still progress at their own pace)"
I farmed so much they told me I reached my bag limit, and I STILL don't have the best echoes. 😣 Send help 😆😆
@@EXTRA_WAVY
Exactly why I'm correct at this.
@@DisIngRaM "Exactly why I'm correct at this."
Chill.
I understand
as for someone who's not pulling for Changli this patch is gonna be a long boring one since there's not much to do and that's the reason why I gave ZZZ a chance and now I quite enjoy it
Lets just hope 1.2 is a big patch and they are cooking
Things I think would help.
1. Allow us to keep getting money and upgrade mats from battle pass instead of it ending at 70.
2. Open ToA to weekly rewards
I think 1.2 will be a great patch
Unfortunately, leaks show that there isn't a continuation of the main story (exploring the Black Shores organization) in 1.2 as that'll coincide with Camellya's banner (likely 1.3). There also won't be new overworld areas in 1.2.
Crazy how WuWa's 3rd patch will be a filler one.
I honestly don't mind it, I'll just let them cook, I was able to wait until Alpha CW was announced in CN, and waited again until she released in global, 1 week is a small difference from that experience, Waiting for the skin now which is like 1 year away
Skin??? for PGR?? right?
skin from PGR yes, however, considering the skins they released there, I'm sure the skins they release in wuwa, *if they do* are going to be a total banger, I'm aiming for the latest Alpha CW skin, check it out if you want to, see what they can do with skins :)
Agreed, my echoes for Changli and the new electro dude is already complete, just need to prefarm money and some materials. Already in waiting mode even before changli release
Same feels like forever at this point
6 weeks would be perfect BUT i think it's ok for now since they have time to fix little things here n there. I believe they'll shrink to 6 weeks in a couple of months.
He is speaking facts time is very valuable 🗣️
TY and yeah it is make every second count
it's a drawback from cutting off a week from 1.0. Only time will tell if they'll cut off a week for 1.2 or not and i don't think it's a major problem since for f2p that's more deadweek to stack up astirites for more rolls
TY for sharing your viewpoint
I'm pretty sure it's just 1.1 that's 7 weeks, since 1.0 was 5 weeks to even it out to 6 weeks average. 1.2 and onward will be 6 weeks. Of course correct me if I'm wrong.
I think you may be right I just hope it's not a future thing that stays plus I would also Like an extra event and a future permanent game mode I think this would satisfy all players
@@GambaAJ Yeah, would be great with an extra event, and I do believe they'll add more permanent game modes in the future. We just gotta give them some time.
You make some good points yeah I feel like they should lower it down to feels like an eternity for ChangLi
Hopefully it's because they needed an extra week and are working on something big
Yeah the banners takes too long 🥱 I can't wait and nothing to do in my wuwa account no exp in my echo and rng stats 💤
It does feel like we've got a whole lot of time full of nothing, but I keep telling myself it's more time to pre-farm materials for Xiangli Yao. And I can go back to weaving when I'm not busy while waiting for new content.
Yeah I guess that is true but we also need more echo Exp
Nah they'd go back to a 6 week cycle. The reason 1.1 became 7 weeks was because they released 1.1 one week ahead of schedule to avoid ZZZ's launch.
I'm assuming after Changli we'd go straight to 1.2 and from then on the 6 week cycle continues
Hopefully so if that's case I would feel a little more reassured
Congrats, now touch grass

They really need to improve echo farming/building. There's no reason for it to be locked behind daily resets and expensive currencies because it's all rng based, meaning the chances of you getting an op echo is very small. There's leaks of Kuro introducing a new item that allows you to reroll echo sub stats for 1.2, but we're not sure if it's real or how hard it will be to farm said item. I hope they address it soon.
Yeah I saw something like that as well but until it is confirmed I won't cover it
Get good.
Who told U echo farming is limited bruh?
İ really wanted to listen you were saying and I did ... That's all.
Thank you :)
this is a pretty good take, I agree 😭 but i love Kuro and will keep trying to log in everyday.
Same I will to the 1.2 update I covered gives me hope
I cant tunning my fusion echoes ( running out resources) so far i love the game especially the weapons bannner ( 100%)
Yeah they have done a lot of good that's why I believe they will fix it or deliver hard on future patches
Its good that they are taking there time and brought the extra week for 1.1, hopefully they will then make it 6 weeks and if they don't have a event so players can feel like they are getting something for that extra week
very true I would like an extra event going forward
Do you still think it's good given that 1.2 is a filler patch?
@@kingsimba9513 they will probably have some filler events for 1.2 so I dont think so but if the rumors are true of a free 5 star that could keep players still playing. Right now I think the extra week is also to help their devs and workers take a break and work on getting future updates ready due to how busy they where constantly fixing bugs at the start. I do think 1.2 is going to be more of a filler but still going to be good.
don't underestimate Kuro, they always deliver
@@soratenshi2847 I 100% agree I did a new video covering the 1.2 update the things there testing it looks amazing
I 100% agree thank you for sharing your take
tbh. I kinda enjoy the slow pace. I need to catch up on other gachas and works so it's fits on my schedule.
I understand again this was meant to be a talking point so I appreciate your honesty
Remember the side view cave challenge? I wish there were more of those and resets every month
That would be a nice touch
We need some things to do in wuwa like dorm like in Tower of Fantasy serenity pot like genshin and some lore or mini quest and time trial
Hopefully they add those
@@GambaAJ it's boring and nothing to in my account 🥱 echo exp is much more expensive 🤣 and sub stats is trash unlike Genshin you can feed lower artifacts to get stats

@@Beingbased100 yeah I agree who said that maybe wuwa change that and make player not quit
I agree I still want more content
I am assuming that this patch was 7 weeks because of Kuro's preparation for PS5 release. Let's check by 1.2 if this 7 weeks will continue. If it does, we have a lot of dead weeks with not much happening in Wuwa. If it doesn't continue, then all the better for us since we have more things to do in Wuwa.
Facts Yeah 1.2 will let us know a lot about the future of WuWa
Im a freak and play: Azur Lane, Nikke, Brown Dust 2, Blue Archive, Snowbreak, Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero and AFK Journey and do dailys and weeklies in all of them so WuWa being on a 7 week cycle didnt bother me as i always had something to do xD
Wow that is insane
Dude exactly. So many people are short-sighted and say they are f2p so certain things don’t apply to them. Like, my man every moment you spend your time not making money is essentially you spending money. The saying “time is money” came about for a reason.
Yeah your time is valuable man so use it well or at least feel like it was worth spending time on something
That's what's good with WuWa though
Why would you want future content to be spoiled?
I'd like a game that focuses on gameplay rather than games that focuses on advertisement and spread of word. Let the gameplay speak for itself. If you're a player that likes gossips/leaks, then that's on you.
@@akasahi9315 but there is more to a game than just gameplay tho, u need to keep players engaged it isn't like the gameplay is going to entirely keep u playing bc if that were true then people wouldn't be complaining abt the grinding of the game bc the gameplay is so good, u need to have actual good content and something for people to look forward to which is kinda why roadmaps really benefits gacha games, it let's u know what u should wait for and be excited for
@@hydra_drizz2164 oh I guess if you already maxed out all your characters..

Yeah hopefully they will listen to community feedback I love this game just want what's best for it
I cant wait for neverness
Still catching up from the “drama”.
Which one??
personally I think that the progression of wuwa was a bit too fast. in genshin leveling up was a a lot slower compared to wuwa. some people struggle to get to AR 60 but people are already at UL 60. maybe If they add more levels higher than SOL PHASE 8, it will add more depth and skill gap between levels.
This is an interesting take TY for sharing
I think that after playing Genshin as my first gatcha game I simply have to acknowledge that these are side games and don't really have sustainable content to play it like it was a full fledged game. Its simple better have other games or activities to jump to after you run out of content and stamina.
WuWa besides combat related events and combat has open worlds to expand which takes development time for a company with much less manpower that Hoyoverse. So having a 7 week cycle makes sense to me. Maybe as they grow it may be reduced.
Thats what I hope happens all I really want is an extra event every patch and a new permanent end game mode in the future
Very true just want more variety into the game that way people can enjoy many different things and have fun I truly love this game

I actually do think you are right to an extent someone who I trust had a similar take
In the meantime : Me enjoying the game in the present time, the future is the future
very true dropped a 1.2 update video rn I just got to let kuro cook
to be honest, I only think they lack advertising or posting updates or announcements in their social media outlets. they should interact more with players and people in social media platforms, not just posting events that will come out near that date.
Thats very true something that they can farm engagement with
I get you got to do videos for your channel, but this is a worry for ALL gacha games and thus, as you said with the golden age section, there is choice.
I appreciate your take
They desperately need to make actual weekly content.
Yeah just slight changes is all I want
How is that different from genshin lmao
There is a leak that says after 1.4 the game will straight up go to 2.0. No filler patch.
Whaaaatttttt IDK about that that would be the most crazy thing ever in Gacha History if that is true I would bow down
@@GambaAJ yeah, i heard leaks like that too, dunno if it's true tho. I hope it's true, I don't want a filler patch, Probably everyone don't want a filler patch.
@@GambaAJnot that crazy, Genshin only went to version 1.6 before jumping to 2.0
People don't need to play other gacha durning downtime, there are plenty great other games. I think for casual player there is enough content between patches.
I do understand your point here, but if you really new in gacha games? its still normal when you run out of the content especially if the game was still in early version (yes, every gacha games have same situation). Unfortunately WuWa doesn't have weekly content like PGR "warzone" and "phantom pain cage" or even the hardest challenging mode like "babel tower" yet
So.. my point is, let them cook~
I am ok with waiting RN for sure but just am a little worried and no not my 1st gacha lol
@@GambaAJ ahh okay, got it
i love wuwa and its the only gatcha i play but there is nothing for me to do except killing mobs in the open world which i dont like :/
Hopefully it will get better I am going to give Kuro games the benefit of the doubt lets when patch 1.2 comes out what happens
It’s because 1.0 was 5 weeks bro they need to catch up on their sleep. They’ll go back to 6 week cycles from 1.2
Hopefully you are right
I think made the illusive realm reset weekly or every 2 weeks could be cool.
Not a bad idea
I'm in the extreme minority that hasn't even finished 1.0. my characters are super weak and upgrading Rover takes time 😅but yeah I'm Gucci tbh in regards to content still have a bunch to catch up to. And if not I have like 8 other gacha stories to catch up to.
Yeah I understand for some people are still behind however I also believe more content for newer players equals an amazing first impression
Iam new player . I start yesterday i dont get the echo or anything in this game but i like the play style
Heyy welcome I hope you have a good time with the game it is really fun
I havent started wuwa yet just observing on updates but let's see if we can pull changli on first 10pulls if the resources are stillt here if not it is what it is
I don't disagree with most of the points you've made in this vid, but I'm still having a great time with Wuwa right now. I'm somewhat glad there's not a lot going on cus I'm just focused on building my characters. I'm also playing ZZZ on the side but I don't really love it and I'm gonna drop it the second Wuwa comes to console tbh. I'm also interested in project Mugen, and also (less so) in azur promilia, but I definitely won't be dropping Wuwa for them
Same I love wuthering as well all I want is for it to succeed and get bigger than what it already is
I'm playing two accounts so that i can pull most characters so having less events/content is perfect for me
Maybe repeatable weekly game modes? With a selective reward pool?
Just put out a video with some huge 1.2 updates
Having a ton of problem saving up for asterites lmao. Luckily i can skip the upcoming banners since i dont like their gameplay
ahhhh who is a character you would like to be in the game that you would pull for?
@@GambaAJ None yet, but hoping for a Glacio Rectifier sub-dps user kinda like Yinlin
@@HamsterdamnedZhezhi is a support glacio rectifier I believe
@@LUCAS420BLZ yea but i like a MALE Sub Dps, im still good with support Verina. 😄 tho out of all the leaked banners Zhezhi looks the most interesting.
Imagine if triple A companies started making gacha games
WuWa and Once Human, i don't need anything else ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
what is once human
and here is me playing all of the big gachas plus hi3 xD
hahaha that is crazy
Like with any other game, if you finish all the content you can just go play something else. I'm aware it puts content creators in a tough place and I'm not really sure what can be done about that, but at least for the rest of us I don't really get why that's an issue. Just clear the content, have your fun, then come back when more content drops.
playing more than one gacha games is wild.
im not even grinding echo in wuwa anymore, im consider quitting after my battlepass is maxed.
I honestly would not did an update video on what's coming it is amazing co op events quality of changes are very
I don't really see the issue tbh.
I agree I enjoy the game a lot as well but I am generally speaking in the future they will have to progress a little faster
My steam games are collecting dust, i dont mind with slower update and all. Currently playing browndust2, nikke, ww and the occasional genshin.
what is browndust2????
@@GambaAJ horny gacha game 😂
