Man, I'm just a total newbie when it comes to cameras, and I'm just looking to learn about shooting TH-cam content. But watching you compose this pictures is pretty damn inspiring. You make it look easy.
Was planning on getting the primes but I think this is good enough bokeh and quality for a beginner like me. Convenience and flexibility is also a huge plus. Buying all the APS-C primes would be essentially 3x the waste if I ever get to my planned FF upgrade since the camera won't be able to function at its full potential using those. I'm thinking it's better to just get this zoom lens for my APS-C camera then slowly buy the FF prime lenses.
Waste of something is relativ. I jumped off an FF Setup and enjoying my APS-C system way more, for street and also client work. For the Studio Medium Format is my choice.
I was wondering when some more presets would arrive - they look good so far! Cool Ferrari jacket too :) Part of me wishes I had waited for the 18-50 instead of getting all the primes, as my sensor is constantly covered in dust :(

I know I haven't used the 18-50 extensively yet, and I do think it's going to be a very convenient lens, but I still don't think it will come close to the wow factor of the 1.4 primes. Funnily enough - I plan on making a video soon about sensor cleaning 😂 What kinda stuff do you shoot out of interest?
@@StuartRodwell Usually people or landscapes. I like to shoot in all weather and also indoor natural light so going smaller than f2.8 isn't really an option, hence the primes!

I am a complete beginner and I'll be traveling, my demands from lens are, landscape, street and portrait. Should i go for it as i don't think being a complete beginner I'd be able to notice any small faults other TH-camrs say? What do you suggest?
Loved the video and the new presets you are doing. "FUGEE" now that's funny :) I have yet to try the 18-50mm for portraits and it was cool to see how it performs. Cheers!

Did you every try the 16-55 g from sony? And if so, how did it compare to this sigma zoom? Great photos by the way. I hope to have such a good relationship with my daughter someday.

Thanks so much man 🙏🏻. I’ve tweaked them a bit since this video and put them live on the website today! With regards to WB, I never shot auto, I just use the rough ‘daytime / cloudy etc’ settings then fine tune in post 👍🏻
