Yeah, there were a lot of 3D movies released around this time period (1981/82/83). Others, besides this one, were Comin At Ya, Friday the 13th Part 3, Treasure of the Four Crowns, Space Hunter, Metal Storm, Jaws 3, Amityville 3, The Man Who Wasn't There, House of Wax and Andy Warhol's Frankenstein (the last two mentioned there being older films that were re-released). They all did quite well too I recall.
I couldn't help but be reminded of a movie from 1975 called Shivers or alternatively it came from within. It's also about a lab created 'parasite' that infects people in a high rise building.
I wasn’t sure about you guys in the first couple minutes, but you won me over. Lots of fun. Btw, it wasn’t designed for home video 3D, it was a theatrical release. And good ol’ Charlie Band loved coming up with a title and poster before a script so he could sell off the distribution rights on the concept instead of a finished product!
@@RW-cp8gp so glad to have you on the team 😌 also looking at Mr. Band’s filmography is QUITE the wild ride. Need to do a wiki deep dive on this list alone

@@vincentleeadams I must know more. Did you see it in theaters? Were the 3D parts fun? Were they intermixed enough that you didn’t feel weird wearing 3D glasses the entire movie?
1982? What else came out that year, let's seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee? . .. ET, Tron, The Thing, The Road Warrior, Annie, Poltergiest, Tron, Conan the Barbarian, Fast Times At Ridgemont High? This won out over those then?
@ You’re correct, and I saw all these movies in the theater. But that’s really not that many movies, a lot less to choose from considering the avalanche of content we have today. Movies back then would stay in the theater for months on end if they were even marginally good. It really was a different world from where we live in today.
@ No of course not. There’s an apple and oranges difference in what I’m saying about “a lot less to choose from”. You might see a movie several times because there really wasn’t anything new to pick from week to week. Indiana Jones and raiders of the lost Ark played all through the spring and summer and early fall, left Theatres, then returned in December. Star Wars and the Empire strikes back return to the summer time theater every year for two weeks, before the next one was released. it was just very different back then.
THIS is supposed to be a GIMIC flick, so at least understand THAT and rate it as such if your going to review it.. Seriously, "they should have spent the budget on the holes in the script"? And so Demi Moor thinks its her "worst film"? She'd predictably say RTHAT. They ALL typically say THAT about movies of THIS kind (horror, exploitation, sci fi, creature feature) after they "make it big" and become these major mainstream super-celebs and start appearing on the Jay Leno show and in People magazine and the sort. They're only doing movies like THIS as "stepping stones" to "bigger and better things" (like action movies, romantic dramas, or tv sitcoms).

I wasn't sure a channel reviewing old horror B-movies would appeal to me, but sure enough you guys made it fun as hell, well-earned sub

Let's gooooo!
This movie was presented as 3-D in Theatres back in 1982, home viewing was just becoming a thing at that time.
Well I’ve found a new horror movie channel to look forward to! Cheers TH-cam algorithm!
By the third time, I realized you were ramping up "Parasite!" a little more each time, and i laughed at the next one just like your camera man
It got me too 😵
You guys are GREAT! Love the spontanous sidebar conversations and giggle-inducing bits. Funny stuff, indeed!
Cheers!!

They made this movie recently too
you should review guyver!
I saw this movie when it came out, in 3-D! Not exactly great a movie, but there was a lot less to choose from in 1982.

Really thought he said "woof" rather than "Wolfe".
All woofs are reserved for use by me (cam), it's in my contract.
