- We are very pleased to finally bring you our longest video to date featuring footage from our May 2023 Gala weekend.
The Gala was held over the weekend of the 13th & 14th May and all the action was filmed on the Saturday. Our workshop and yard area at Woody Bay was open to visitors for a behind-the-scenes look at what we do, a 3 train public service was in operation during the day and a special running evening was held afterwards, for other railway societies and invited guests.
Highlights include the visit of steam locomotive ‘Christopher’ from the Littlehampton Miniature Railway, which enabled us to run a service featuring two steam locomotives for the first time, interesting movements such as parallel, running and demonstration freight trains and night time running.

Query: The gauge of the RLR is always given as 12" dead, yet visiting LMR loco is from a line always described as 12¼" gauge and which has hosted FMR locos, also 12¼" gauge. Has the RLR gauge been quietly slackened a tad, or are dimensions sufficiently tolerant to allow inter-operation?
Mmm. England and Wales are pretty much the only countries in the U.K. that are filled with such fascinating railways. I find it decent to watch nice and cool railway park videos to amp up my love for trains for the time being. It is just astounding to be into the delight of how trains revolutionize the world of both touring attraction and motive transportation. I wonder if Wilbert Awdry ever got to visit a railway like this when he lived his time here on Earth. I know a _Railway Series_ book on the basis of it would've definitely help promote it and have more visitors from different countries of the world come and be into the spirit of railroading all around.

We aim to have Gala events every May and September going forward. 2024 is the 45th Anniversary of the Ruislip Lido Railway Society, so we are planning something special for the May Gala!
I like to ride R.L.R one day because it 1980s . You need more bues to get more people there
I was saying to superloop express buses have express service to Edgware station to Ruislip Lido runs side 340 & 114 bit H13. Then more people would come to Lido?
What mean to say railway as change seens 1980s going round loop .
