- A documentary team have ventured into Eton College to meet two boys eager to bring Parkour to their Public School. They are Bertie "Buster" Cholmondeley-Fookes, and his friend Richard Barnaby-Fox. This is their story.

watched some rubbish kids- actually one was about35 trying to do this in atown centre none of them were any good. it was all bare chested, just-shite-in-jeans bad attitude laugheble crap. this video should go out to them, only thing is, you were doing it for a laugh. guy with long hair looks like a young hugh laurie
are they wrong though? assuming you are from a privileged background can you honestly say some of those assumptions aren't correct. am i wrong in assuming your parents are wealthy so pay for everything, financially you have never struggled, you are white, middle class, and your school were filled with people just like you?
I'm not actually an Etonian, I went to Hurtwood House, same stigma though. Doesn't suck as much as you would think, as the people who form negative assumptions about you are generally irrelevant.
My previous comment was a joke on the stereotype though, I was trolling.

That is untrue, a lot of private schools offer bursaries allowing clever, under-privileged students to go to a better school. I do agree that some public school pupils don't have parents who care about them, but that is a minority.
I ran out of characters, but i was getting to saying that i think the 'new money' children have a very different outlook to those who are from older families with money.
Most of the negative opinions of private school children is due to spiteful jealousy and a feeling that they don't deserve it, but then when considering the background of where the money has come from, surely people like my farther earn't the right to send his children to a better school

Your exactly right. The problem is my family is considered 'new money' which is becoming much more common in private schools. as a result of this my farther (born and bred moss side in the 50s) and my mother (catholic Irish from South Armagh 'bandit country') feel it is necessary for me to earn my own way.
They did this by making me form a financial budget with expenditure references and presenting it to them, it was about a third of a maintenance loan at uni, so technically i live off less.

Is that really such a good idea? I've have been given the chance for a good education thanks to the public system. I come from a poor-ish family which and was given a bursary to dulwich college, so that I don't have to go to a state school were there are no anti-bullying sanctions. The state system is majorly flawed because of the lack of funding given to the schools by their respective councils. I now have a higher chance of going to university like Cambridge and Oxford. By the way I am 13.
