I don't even know if I heard her right but "a stampede of tumblr enthusiasts" made me immediately think of tons of short haired "genderfluid" people with cat whiskers and males tears phone cases wearing necklaces that say "ze/zer" and Fall Out Boy tee shirts. **shivers** the patriarchy
At my show, people got so freaking squished that when The 1975 came out, a section fell in the front, I was one of the people and I was legit on the ground. People were stepping on me, falling on me, I was bawling my eyes out it was insane. The 1975 had to stop Heart Out because it was insane everyone was screaming in terror. All I remember is I got up, lost my friend, and people where shaking me asking me if I was okay but I couldn't breathe. It was fucking terrifying. I went to the E.R. after the concert because I was really sore and bruised and I have a really bad knee. All I know is that these fans are fucking crazy.
Trash I was absolutely furious. I didn't wait from 10 in the morning just to be stepped on by a bunch of desperate teens trying to get closer to the front.
omg i went to a melanie martinez concert about a month ago and as soon as the opening band came out i just felt this huge push from everyone in the back and im a very short person.. im only like 4'11 (ik im too short for life) and i was legit lifted off of the ground and i could barely breath and everything was bleh.. but i finally got my feet back on the ground but i couldnt even lift my head up because my face was pushed up against some guy in front of me.. so by the time the opening was done i ended up in like the third row from all the pushing (i started in about the tenth row maybe) and then melanie came on and the pushing got even worse and i was freaking out and by then i was legit at the barricade and i was pushed up against it so hard i still have bruises on my chest but thankfully melanie told everyone to stop pushing eachother (she is literally an angel).. and i got to enjoy the rest of the concert from the front row so u guess it was all good in the end
but i mean like everyone where i was standing was really nice about it and they were asking if i was ok and stuff so its not like everyone there was mean.. it was just the bitches in the back thinking they deserve to get to the front when there were people (including me and my friends) who had waited in line for 9 hours
it was pretty bad at the Melanie show in Philly too a lot of pushing and I ended up father back then people who got there way later than me which kinda sucked but it was worth it because of Melanie 😂
Once at a school dance I had a panic attack and I hid behind the bleachers to calm down and the security guard yelled at me which made me only get worse
Sarah Hoodings this wasn't at a school dance but there were a couple rude girls from my class at the reception and our parents were talking and I tried the "oh my phone is ringing" attempt but it didn't work so I was looking at pictures of Josh Dun
There's many reasons I hate people and this is a perfect example of one of those. Props to you for not starting a fight with anyone though. I still would've been crying and panicking, but I would've started swinging if people treated me like that. Anxiety is a bitch and so are a lot of people.
This is exactly how my Paramore concert experience was, except I got to the venur AT 4 FUCKING AM and waited literally 15 hours only to be pushed to the back when the line turned into a mob, I was so mad... When the show started people started pushing and someone stepped on my foot and I lost my fucking shoe, I was shoeless the entire concert, people stepped on my foot and you could see the blood through my socks, it was insane. I wish people would be calmer at shows so people could actually enjoy the show
if you have anxiety and you're uncomfortable with being close to people/being pushed around, please don't get general admission tickets!! people usually tend to get a bit annoying when in the pit but you can't really blame them. just make sure you'll be safe; it'll make the concert way more enjoyable.
It's actually completely fine, all fans at my show were so respectful and didn't push you at all. Except at one point, I'm pretty sure a girl tried to get on stage, even Calum saw and was trying to see what was happening 😂
+Alessia Baldisserri probably literally nothing. you do realise that 5sos is a very tame band compared to the likes of a band like the 1975. most of 5sos's fans are tweens/teens. most of the 1975's fans are late teen/early twenties. The 1975 has a lot of drunken fans at their concerts whereas 5sos will probably have zero.
the crowd was the exact same way at the GA 5SOS show in Toronto 2014. The line was horrendous with people cutting in line, I was like 50th in line when i got to the venue, and by the time the line stopped mobbing me and my friends were the last people to get into the first 500 section. Everyone was pushing and shoving, the opening act and 5SOS had to stop the concert a couple of times. As well, like 15 girls got pulled out of the crowd cause they passed out. It was a horrendous night, I got sunburnt, shoved and pushed, and dehydrated. When I got out of the concert I bawled because I didn't even remember most of 5SOS's performance because I was so angry.
I only this happened easily for others too. I've been in a mosh pit before and the last time I was in one a girl behind me fainted. she was completely blacked out. no one was saying 'hey! stop the show!' when it honestly could've helped her get out. we were close to the front thankfully but we had to fully lift her up and get her to the barricades and security to help her. honestly it'd make things hard but if artists could do what the opener band did or at lest say 'hey this crowd is getting out of hand everyone just calm down a little" it's help someone so much instead of people fainting, having panic attacks, etc.
Literally got teared up when I was watching this lmfao? Because I've had it where I have lost my vision completely and it was horrendous. That guy that helped you is cool af though love him
Gurl, if you ever saw a concert in Brazil you'd see that your terrible experience is a routine here. I've been through this in every fucking single concert I went, so I know exactly how you felt. It's horrible when you just go somewhere to enjoy the music and the concert but you end up leaving with a bad memory. It's really sad...
tactic idea- if you wait for hours for a concert, take pictures of yourself in the line on snapchat, and use the time filter, when you get there, so people can see the date and time for proof
I'm so sad to hear this because it happens at almost every concert in italy, it's a normal thing for us, fans lose their control and start pushing. At the shawn mendes concert more than 30 girls were pulled out and even more went out of the crowd, me included, the same happened at the jack and jack concert but i left the crowd before the concert started, and at the troye sivan concert a starlight exploded and all the liquid went in my eye, I had a panic attack, I was in the 3rd row and I had to get pulled out, but the people let me get back back to my friends but it was realy scary
i saw troye a few weeks ago and the crowd was so chill and i wasn't getting squished at all but a simillar thing happened to me because I suffer with anxiety and i had nothing to eat or drink all day and it was my first time standing for a concert. I had to leave during happy little pill and i hate myself for it but luckily we were kinda near the back so it was easy for us to leave
at my all time low concert I noticed after the support acts people were collapsing. all time low weren't even on yet the stage was empty and like 10 people fainted. when all time low came on it seemed that everyone was okay. thank god I got seating
I had the same experience about the panic attack part at an imagine dragons concert. I've never experienced being in the pit of a concert before, and my friend kept pushing people to get to the frontrow even though I didn't want to do that. After the first act the room was so hot and a girl next to me kept pushing me so I fainted. Everyone around me moved back to give me some space and when I "woke up" I had the worst panic attack I've ever had. It was so intense that my arms and hands couldn't move anymore, I was paralyzed, and sobbing because I got pulled out to get to the infarmery when I heard imagine dragons come on stage. They let me go back to the concert after like 30 minutes, at the back of the room, and I tried to have the best time I could, but it was definitely a bad experience. Always buying seat tickets now.
when i saw Melanie Martinez in March, it was chaos. everyone was passing out from the crowd, some puked over the barricade and my friend next to me on the barricade couldn't breathe because everyone was pushing up on us. another one of my friends basically passed out and no one was helping her out. ive never been to a concert as crazy as this one but ive gone to a melanie concert in the past and it was also crazy but not like this. everyone had to get water because everyone was like dying but i was center barricade but i was #living
I went to the 1975s concert in Stockholm this april and omg, it was crazy as fuck. Firstly I waited in line forever and just like at your concert the people at the back started a mobb and just ran for it when they were starting to let people into the venue. We somehow manage to get inside and find a decent spot maybe like 11 rows from the barricade or something like that. Everything is fine, we kind of have some space to just chill and then the opening act come on.... People go absolutely apeshit and just start pushing like crazy, I can't breath because this really tall guy next to me is literally trying to push me over and I'm sweating like crazy obiviously. There were some points when my feet were not touching the ground at all but I still managed to stay upright because everyone was packed so tightly together. Somehow when the 1975 have been on for maybe half an hour I have gotten to the barricade, not because I was pushing others but because people were pushing me like crazy and because people were dropping like flies and so creating more space or whatever in the front. Honestly I wouldn't have made it through the concert if I didn't get to the very front because people were so crazy. At least I could breath at that point. But still people were pushing me, trying to drag me away, punching me, kicking me, dragging my hair etc. The next day I had bruises all over my body, I could barely walk because this one girl kept kicking my knee during the concert and so it was hurting like crazy for like a week afterwards, I was bleeding when we got out of there it was absolutely mad. I was almost dragged out of there several times because the security thought I was going to faint (I did to though) but I wouldn't let them take me out of there because I didn't want to miss out. Seeing people constantly being dragged over the barricade around you was horrifying though, even more disturbing was the fact that people didn't seem to care, instead they just started pushing more when others got taken out of the crowd because they wanted to get closer to the stage. I have a lot of good memories from that day but I will never forget all of the pain and stress and anxiousness I felt during that night
i had the almost same experience at a 1dconcert. i was in the front row and you know, being the front row at a 1d concert is fucking hard, there were like 500 teenage girls behind me and they pushed me so hard against the rails. i had a panic attack, like you had and the fans were like:"why is this bitch crying?" "she wants attention" and stuff like that, but the security was very nice and thank god they spoke english (the concert was in denmark) and they gave me water to drink and they tried to calm me down, i calmed down and i was fine, so ofc i watched the 1dconcert till the end, not in the front row, but at least i saw them.
I went and saw The 1975 a month ago, and the crowd was terrible! I've been to over 30 concerts, most of them being hardcore punk/rock/metal shows where the crowd is 80% 25-year-old, 200 lb MEN and they've been more respectful and nice than anyone at The 1975's show. My friend and I left the pit half way through The 1975's set and stood at the very back because we were so done. I was third row and couldn't see a fucking thing because people wouldn't put their phones down or stop pushing. Never again.
This just confirms why I stay away from buying standing tickets. Seated all the way for me! I saw 5SOS at SLFL last week and I am so grateful that that they only had 2 small standing pods and the rest were seats. Managed to get seats that were near the front but I heard the standing pods were so cramped 😕 I get way too claustrophobic too so I totally understand. I am so sorry you had such a bad experience 😢
okokok watching this reminded me of a mayday parade concert 3 years ago, everyone started pushing and I'm only 4'9 & somehow I ended up on the floor because I fell, I was SO scared. I had to be lifted up it was terrifying, I was only on the floor for a few minutes but it felt like hours, I had to get out of the crowd and stayed in the back of the crowd the rest of the night
i had a panic attack at the Rowyso concert and i legit fainted in the mosh pit and i was dragged out by some people.... and by the time i went back in they played the last song... so i only got to see them play end up here and SLSP... best night ever....
You don't know how often that pass in Latin America. When I saw 1D in Peru like 2 years ago, many people felt like you and the security guards took off many girls. The different is that the girls came back to the crowd and pushed the people, That was horrible, Many girls couldn't breathe and they just passed out.
I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, I was starting to panic myself and that's so scary. I'm just happy that you got to see them a year later because what you went through was just awful.
You remind me of a female Drew Monson. You're super funny and so captivating! I have ADHD so it's hard for me to pay attention to most videos no matter how long they are. I watched your entire video and I loved it. I'm so sorry that happened to you, when your own body is fighting against you its terrifying... I hate anxiety.
You probably had a blackout. It's kinda like when you're confused and you don't remember much after it happening. You lose your short term memory in a way at the moment. But yeah...that must have been so sad to have waited so long to only be escorted out and treated like shit
I had such a similar experience when i went to see Fall Out Boy last week. Three guys a lot older than me started being so horrible to me and verbally attacking me and i started to have a panic attack and had to get pulled over the barrier. i was right at the front aswell, and im so gutted because Biffy Clyro were coming on after and ive been waiting so long to see them and i had to leave early because i couldnt stop crying and couldnt catch my breath! they totally ruined my night.
When I went to see All Time Low I queued for like 10-11 hours and the security people made us stand at 3? (when doors wouldn't open until 6:30) meaning people were coming and pushing infront of us and the security didn't do anything to stop it so I started to stress a litlle. Anyway, Good Charlotte were supporting them and it was their first time performing that night in a few years and literally everyone pushed so much that I was left weak at the knees but was being held up by the amount of people stood around me. I had a full on panic attack but no one would move for me to get out. At this point I was crying so much but no one would help and I lost my friend in the crowd at some point so I couldn't find any comfort at all. I had to wait until the upport act was over when a security person noticed I was panicking and made everyone move so that I could be dragged out and accidentaly kick someone in the face. It was the worst experience ever as I then had to watch the performance from the back of the room after waiting for months for that night
aw I feel so bad for you. I'm so happy people banded together to help you out. Honestly though, trying to move up in the crowd after having a panic attack BECAUSE of the crowd was really stupid. Take care of yourself above all.
i've seen the 1975 about 11 times now, soon to be 13 as of next week and what i've learned is you just have to enjoy your ass off by dancing in the back, the pit is actually hell last time i tried to was bent over the barricade from all the pushing
at my ed sheeran concert this happened and it pissed me off so much and at 5sos it happened when we were getting in line after soundcheck and i just uGH why can't people be nice and civil gosh
I went to a Pierce The Veil concert and the same thing happened to me, I was in the middle more towards the front and I was okay when the opening bands came on but when Pierce The Veil came on everyone pushed to get to the front and I was being squished and I couldn't breathe and I was also super excited because they are my favorite band, but it got to a point where I couldn't see anything and I was gagging ready to throw up, so I turned to my friend and told her I needed to get out, but people wouldn't let me out because they didn't was to lose their spot, so we had to push our way to the back, when I got out I tried to calm myself down but I ended up throwing up all over the back bar and I had to be taken outside by two bartenders, and I ended up blacking out against a dumpster... But to be honest even though that happened it still was one of the best nights of my life, I got to see my favorite band and I got to meet some cool friends!
I am so sorry this happened. I had a concert experience like this at The Neighbourhood and it was awful. Everyone was rude and shoving and I got alcohol spilled on me. It also smelled horribly like weed. One of the opening acts threw open water bottles into the crowd and hit people next to me in the face. I hate rude crowds like you described. Like we're all there to enjoy live music so we should all respect each other and be friendly.
the bands usually throw water in the crowd because everyones all hot and in my experience everyone wants to be the one that gets water thrown at them & one time I needed to get out of the crowd really bad because we were packed so tight because it was for big Sean and kanye west and by the time I got out of the crowd I had one cup of beer on each shoe
same thing also happened to me a few weeks ago for their LA show! I left sd at 5am, got to la at 7:30am and waited 12 hours. We were let in and I was probably 4th row. I got through the opening act but when the 1975 came out it was fucking mental. I push through every GA pit but I literally got taken to the ground and stepped on. Security then saw me and got me out. I completely relate! scariest moment of my life
Everyone asking about the 5sos concerts they are normally chill and fun to go to. They hardly push you and the fam is super nice!! and the boys pay attention to the crowd if they see anyone getting hurt they stop and let the security know or they tell everyone to back up and calm down. and they start playing again everyone does that. So, do not get nervous or scared if you see them on their next tour :)
+Brooke Sullivan My first the 1975 concert experience was also like this, except that i just passed out for a bit instead of having an anxiety attack. It must have been the fans back then..
i actually went to Soma but to see All Time Low with Pierce the Veil... it was cool, but i had Meet and Greet so, and was 3 years ago. Is the only concert i have been on there, but i don't live in South Cali anymore so...
I had a horrible experience too, everyone was pushing and shoving and I got my hair pulled, I was grinded on, I was being pulled down, and I couldn't breathe at all so I basically queued since 9am for nothing cause I left so early and when I managed to go, I got beer thrown at me.. I've been so a the 1975 gig before and it was fine but I've never had a worse experience:(
Also this didn't personally happen to me but I saw moose blood last month and I was on the barrier and the crowd surfers were coming over the top of us and they dropped on us because we were pretty short but this girl who was stood next to me got her head smacked on the barrier by a crowd surfer and her front tooth came out and it was pouring with blood and she had to get pulled out.
This is why I'm not seeing them again. When I saw them in December of 2014 (with Fall Out Boy) I was extremely fortunate. Nobody pushed or cut in line, and everybody was fairly nice. However, I really don't want to see them again because I've heard that their crowds have been absolutely terrible, and I really don't feel like getting hurt/anxious. I'm so sorry about what happened to you!
im just speaking based on my experience but I was at a the 1975 concert 3 weeks ago and the Crowd was very similiar. To start of we didn't even manage to start a real Queue it was ,like you said, a Mob of people waiting, some of them since 2 am and around 40 people ,me included, had a wristband for early entry which were given out at around 11 am to the queue.Anyway the people there were very Defensive and I would say unapproachable not like at my tøp concert where people are so nice and you start to connect with them over the 10-15 hours waiting but this was just impossible with this Crowd. So after they started pulling out the ones with early entry out of the queue which was a tiresome Act already people were pushing without any reason and security started getting pissed...i got in and stood in 3rd row and the pushing that has been going on the whole Day just continued but violent pushing i have never experienced anything like that ,pushing is normal but not like that.Connecting with the people around you- impossible! But I thought to myself when the supporting act starts they will eventually stop to push that violently but Boy was i wrong. The pushing stayed the same, i had no space to move or breathe, two people were pulled out of the waiting Crowd and I thought to myself well maybe then they will start giving out water because that's how it usually went at other concerts (to avoid other people collapsing) and occasionally they started to get water to the Crowd FOR 4 € FOR A SMALL BOTTLE! I got so pissed because that is such a rip off ,i said to myself well they can pull me out of the pit for free should i collapse and denied to buy water so when the 1975 finally came on people went batshit crazy. I was Lucky to get through this without any breakdown even though it was rough but I was never that exhausted after a concert because I constantly had to fight for my place .I thought too that it would be a chill concert just because their music is very chill, but my Crowd was very vicious too.Even while we wanted in front of the Venue we had to defend our place me and a friend went to the toilet for 15 min and got a call by the friend that was still at the Venue and she told us we should get out asses back because our space with our stuff on it was getting smaller and smaller because everyone around us wanted to get closer to the Venue for no real reason. Yeah it was though!
I'm sorry you had to experience this, girl. This made me so upset, concerts are supposed to be fun, shame on those "fans". I'm glad that you were able to get out though, again, so sorry, I can't even imagine :(
also, i had a panic attack as well. it was the worst one ive ever had, and i have anxiety disorder so i have them a lot. but basically all the 1975 concerts are like this, just a bunch of pushing and trampling and it's just a mess. im sorry you had to experience it, it's a really bad thing to experience !
My sister Megan is gonna be 2nd row in a 5sos concert and I'm afraid the Same thing is gonna happen 😳 I'm second row on the side so I'm not that worried
I've been to a 5sos concert before and most of the fans at mine were good and friendly and nice. And if it's not GA there's an even less chance of something happening.
When you go to a 5sos concert it's usually pretty chill there's really no fights and everyone around me was really friendly (except security they will yell if you get out of the row). If you show them your ticket they will show you your seat and it's all good :-)
+aloha anna different age groups of fans maybe? I'm not really sure to be honest with you aha, but I definitely know that at the 1975 concerts they have a lot of drunken fans, that's usually where all the 'drama' comes from.
Ha funny joke!! Vancouver troye fans are terrible, that concert was a shit show and my worst concert every!! Everybody was pushing so hard that by the end of the show I couldn't even stand on my own, 2 of my friends has 2 $60 sweaters, a poster, and a hat that came with their VIP, stolen out of their zipped up bag!! I had people all around me saying rude things about me and making fun of my appearance, one of my friends who is like 5ft and probably 90 pounds was front row and she almost got trampled cuz she was so small... So not all troye fans are great (I have learned from many concerts that most Vancouver fans don't give a shit about anyone but themselves and if they have to break someone's arm to get front row, they will 😅😅)
Yes, that was a panic attack. They suck and they are hard to understand, but they are a small moment in the universe that can be fixed. I have them and they are out of the blue. I cry but, it comes out of the system. It happen a least once to EVERY person in the world. I hate the attacks, but I'm happy someone else (besides my mother) can to relate to this. Ps: I love how open you are to yourself and others. Love you, sister. 💖❤️💜💖
Uh I saw the 1975 in Sweden in February. Literally my all time favorite band but at the concert that shit did not matter. Everyone was bizarre I couldn't see or move and I wish I didn't go. Also had like 2 panicattacks and I just tried playing it cool, I wished I had stopped the concert too hahah
+fangheel i went last month in London, and the floor standing was packed but everyone around me seemed really friendly and nice tbh, have a good time, his amazing x
I go to mostly GA shows and they are all like this and it is horrible. I can't breathe, it gets super hot, and I always have to end up going to the back of the crowd just to catch my breathe, but I just accept it and watch from the back where there is a lot of room and enjoy myself anyway. I hate how people can be so mean when they are the ones being unfair. I get it, girl.
im sorry but during the beginning of a concert its normal for people to try to get to the front and push people around when the lights go out... that happens at every ga concert ive been to
that is so crazy, the EXACT same this happened at the 1975 concert i went to last december!! It was about an hour before doors opened and everyone from the back of the line started to mob towards the front. I was in the bathroom when the mob started so me and the people we were with lost our spots. people who got there in the morning ended up in the back of the concert & it was just the worst experience ever
the exact same thing happen outside their sydney show last year. me and my friends were waiting in line since the day before and we went to go to the bathroom and we came back to everyone running and it was hours before the show was suppose to start and we were so confused. long story short we ended up being 10th in line to being at the back during the whole show
a few years ago I went to a concert (Justin Bieber) and it was my first concert. I was so excited and close. As soon as Justin got on I grabbed my water and threw up in it. it was the worst thing because I was right next to the stage so he saw.
this is literally what happened to me at slfl. i didn't get pulled out but i also experienced my first panic attack in the standing crowd. some fans are just so horrible and no one seems to know what personal space is anymore! so scary. but obviously 5sos made it all better when they came on and everyone kind of settled down
also people are generally really respectful at twenty one pilots concerts, there's not a lot of pushing (at least there wasn't that much at mine) and if you're in trouble and need assistance the crowd and the security are so ready to help you out. especially since youre going to an arena show, since it's larger and there's more space.
The clique is a lot more respectful and understanding. If you have a panic attack I'm very sure that they will help you get assistance. btw your username is scaring me.
I just spit out my water
oh my god...
***** Agreed. Thanks for understanding. I love the band and the concert was brilliant but the fans completely ruined the experience for me..
was this the philly concert on may 15 ?? bc i was there and the 1975 had to stop during heart out as well bc everyone was pushing and falling
OMG I WAS THERE!!!! Matty stopped the show and started calling everyone idiots, I'm so sorry that happened to you!!!!!
yeah it was the 15th
"Imagine a stampede of tumblr enthusiasts" good comparison 😂👌
Yo Cashton 😌
thats why kids, you should buy seats tickets
PROTIP
Tu vas au slfl le 17 ?

Reasons why I liked the UK slfl (idk if they have seats even on floor in the other places their playing)

I SCREAMED SO LOUD WHEN YOUR BROTHER MADE YOU JUMP 😂
+Sophia Coles I ALMOST FELL OFF MY COUCH OH MY GOODNESS
*whispers* Mashton^
+Emily Hornberger same lmao
LMAO
meee😂
omg i went to a melanie martinez concert about a month ago and as soon as the opening band came out i just felt this huge push from everyone in the back and im a very short person.. im only like 4'11 (ik im too short for life) and i was legit lifted off of the ground and i could barely breath and everything was bleh.. but i finally got my feet back on the ground but i couldnt even lift my head up because my face was pushed up against some guy in front of me.. so by the time the opening was done i ended up in like the third row from all the pushing (i started in about the tenth row maybe) and then melanie came on and the pushing got even worse and i was freaking out and by then i was legit at the barricade and i was pushed up against it so hard i still have bruises on my chest but thankfully melanie told everyone to stop pushing eachother (she is literally an angel).. and i got to enjoy the rest of the concert from the front row so u guess it was all good in the end
but i mean like everyone where i was standing was really nice about it and they were asking if i was ok and stuff so its not like everyone there was mean.. it was just the bitches in the back thinking they deserve to get to the front when there were people (including me and my friends) who had waited in line for 9 hours
it was pretty bad at the Melanie show in Philly too a lot of pushing and I ended up father back then people who got there way later than me which kinda sucked but it was worth it because of Melanie 😂
+Madison Smith thats the one i was at!
+Cass same the Philly show was my first GA concert and the pushing was crazy
+Giuliana A yeah it was mine too
I'm feeling anxiety just watching this! I'm so sorry you had to go through that. 😕❤️
Same same same same
same here
i went to the 1975 concert and legit everyone hates each other and are smoking cigarettes and complaining lmao
lmao at one point i lifted my feet off the ground n turned to my friend and whispered "i'm floating."
junkpunk I LAUGHED SO HARD OH MY GOD 😂😂
Girl you are so strong for not passing out, good job
You just described how I felt in every middle school dance
Same
Once at a school dance I had a panic attack and I hid behind the bleachers to calm down and the security guard yelled at me which made me only get worse
Sarah Hoodings this wasn't at a school dance but there were a couple rude girls from my class at the reception and our parents were talking and I tried the "oh my phone is ringing" attempt but it didn't work so I was looking at pictures of Josh Dun
Sarah Hoodings my brother's prom reception* sorry
There's many reasons I hate people and this is a perfect example of one of those.
Props to you for not starting a fight with anyone though. I still would've been crying and panicking, but I would've started swinging if people treated me like that. Anxiety is a bitch and so are a lot of people.
The 1975 crowds are the worst ones I've ever been in tbh
yah same, but lana del rey is even worse smh
This is exactly how my Paramore concert experience was, except I got to the venur AT 4 FUCKING AM and waited literally 15 hours only to be pushed to the back when the line turned into a mob, I was so mad... When the show started people started pushing and someone stepped on my foot and I lost my fucking shoe, I was shoeless the entire concert, people stepped on my foot and you could see the blood through my socks, it was insane. I wish people would be calmer at shows so people could actually enjoy the show
if you have anxiety and you're uncomfortable with being close to people/being pushed around, please don't get general admission tickets!! people usually tend to get a bit annoying when in the pit but you can't really blame them. just make sure you'll be safe; it'll make the concert way more enjoyable.
i can't even imagine what happens at the front row of a 5sos concert
Oh god
+Alessia Baldisserri during the nbs live stream 5sos notice some people pushing the fans in the front so they asked the people in the back to back up
It's not bad at all. There are seats at 5sos concerts. Ellen's was in a pit.
This sounds like my worst nightmare. I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks so I know how you feel girl. x
omg i thought "tumbkr enthusiasts can run?"
Me
lmao
😂
The Ashara Show??
Refreshing praying for something interesting to watch... Thank the Lord for Ellena💕🙏
"a stampede of tumbler enthusiasts"😂
Even though some fans can be rude as FUCK, I think most fanbases have such solidarity and compassion when it comes to situations like those!!
at my all time low concert I noticed after the support acts people were collapsing. all time low weren't even on yet the stage was empty and like 10 people fainted. when all time low came on it seemed that everyone was okay. thank god I got seating
Panic attacks suck! I had one at a 5SOS concert and ended up in A&E at the end of the night because I couldn't breathe.
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I SCREAMED WHEN I SAW THE VIDEO!
yo i was literally in the middle of doing my hair and i stopped listening to atl to watch this ellena
This is me I was waiting for my hair day to be done and listening to airplanes but Ellena cut through the clouds of my music.
+Chocolate Milk party dye*
i had the almost same experience at a 1dconcert. i was in the front row and you know, being the front row at a 1d concert is fucking hard, there were like 500 teenage girls behind me and they pushed me so hard against the rails. i had a panic attack, like you had and the fans were like:"why is this bitch crying?" "she wants attention" and stuff like that, but the security was very nice and thank god they spoke english (the concert was in denmark) and they gave me water to drink and they tried to calm me down, i calmed down and i was fine, so ofc i watched the 1dconcert till the end, not in the front row, but at least i saw them.
also, the guy who helped you and everyone else's attitude was very nice of them, more ppl like this
Sounds good feels good
*Wishing For A Ellena And Colleen Colab* 😍😍😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭*
YESS !
no thank you
i disagree, i think they wouldn't make a good collab tbh
Yesss!
+Nelly Carolina I've been wishing for this since the day i was born
I am so sorry you had such a bad experience 😢
youre the best story teller ive listened to youre very good at like explaining your surroundings
okokok watching this reminded me of a mayday parade concert 3 years ago, everyone started pushing and I'm only 4'9 & somehow I ended up on the floor because I fell, I was SO scared. I had to be lifted up it was terrifying, I was only on the floor for a few minutes but it felt like hours, I had to get out of the crowd and stayed in the back of the crowd the rest of the night
i had a panic attack at the Rowyso concert and i legit fainted in the mosh pit and i was dragged out by some people.... and by the time i went back in they played the last song... so i only got to see them play end up here and SLSP... best night ever....
bless the guy that helped you.
Wow, I actually felt your description of having an Anxiety Attack and I'm so sorry you had to go through that 💔 That completely sucks
i went to there LA show two weeks ago and it was horrible, I feel you, so many people got pulled out and it was very sad.
You probably had a blackout. It's kinda like when you're confused and you don't remember much after it happening. You lose your short term memory in a way at the moment. But yeah...that must have been so sad to have waited so long to only be escorted out and treated like shit
i sometimes hate other fans for ruining the whole event for me
I had such a similar experience when i went to see Fall Out Boy last week.
I honestly LOVE how real (personality wise) you are! :)
i've seen the 1975 about 11 times now, soon to be 13 as of next week and what i've learned is you just have to enjoy your ass off by dancing in the back, the pit is actually hell last time i tried to was bent over the barricade from all the pushing
dude for real. everyone is always hauling ass to get to the front, chilling in the back is just as fun. and safer.
Back in February while seeing ptv, I was getting choked, nearly pulled to the floor, crushed, and I had to run to the back and I nearly threw up (':
that same exact thing happened to me at a halsey concert and i passed out and people wouldn't help me and just kept shoving.
at my ed sheeran concert this happened and it pissed me off so much and at 5sos it happened when we were getting in line after soundcheck and i just uGH why can't people be nice and civil gosh
I'm shocked with the Ed sheeran one. his fans seem really chill
I know right.
I went to the same tour as you and a similar thing happened, many people had to be taken out, the second time I saw them though it was a lot calmer
Like we're all there to enjoy live music so we should all respect each other and be friendly.
are you serious, that's not even bad, that's literally every concert I've been to
the bands usually throw water in the crowd because everyones all hot and in my experience everyone wants to be the one that gets water thrown at them & one time I needed to get out of the crowd really bad because we were packed so tight because it was for big Sean and kanye west and by the time I got out of the crowd I had one cup of beer on each shoe
story times are the best thank you ellena
same thing also happened to me a few weeks ago for their LA show! I completely relate! scariest moment of my life
Honestly, that is exactly what would have happened to me if I was in that situation
Ellen: simmer down
Me: ...SIMMER DOWN THEY SAY WE ARE TOO YOUNG NOW...ok I'll stop and listen now😂
gah I went to this show and had a similar experience! soma is such a shit venue
+Brooke Sullivan yep it was at soma and I've refused to go back since
+Brooke Sullivan My first the 1975 concert experience was also like this, except that i just passed out for a bit instead of having an anxiety attack. It must have been the fans back then..
ugh
i actually went to Soma but to see All Time Low with Pierce the Veil... it was cool, but i had Meet and Greet so, and was 3 years ago. Is the only concert i have been on there, but i don't live in South Cali anymore so...
+uncoolalex ALOOX HI
WHEN YOUR BROTHER SCARED YOU MY HEART LITERALLY STOPPED ONG😂
This is why I'm not seeing them again. When I saw them in December of 2014 (with Fall Out Boy) I was extremely fortunate. Nobody pushed or cut in line, and everybody was fairly nice. However, I really don't want to see them again because I've heard that their crowds have been absolutely terrible, and I really don't feel like getting hurt/anxious. I'm so sorry about what happened to you!
Sensory overload is scary.
HAHAHA the part where it was like "did you get that on film?"
"nope, no i didn't" i have never laughed so hard
im just speaking based on my experience but I was at a the 1975 concert 3 weeks ago and the Crowd was very similiar.
Is it weird that I'm crying
That guy was so nice to help you omg 😣
+Laura Bamer if its not GA then it should be fine
I've been to a 5sos concert before and most of the fans at mine were good and friendly and nice. And if it's not GA there's an even less chance of something happening.
+ellenawhat Oh my gosh thanks so much for the advice ☺️💕 ilysm ❤️
When you go to a 5sos concert it's usually pretty chill there's really no fights and everyone around me was really friendly (except security they will yell if you get out of the row). If you show them your ticket they will show you your seat and it's all good :-)
OHHH SO IT WAS YOU WHO ELBOWED ME AND STOPPED THE CONCERT ahahah but i feel bad for you :-(
ok but troye has his concerts in the same venues as the 1975 and melanie and all those but his fans are so chill lmao what
+aloha anna different age groups of fans maybe?
So not all troye fans are great (I have learned from many concerts that most Vancouver fans don't give a shit about anyone but themselves and if they have to break someone's arm to get front row, they will 😅😅)
im 12 lowkey wanna see Mel but her fans seem more Matthew I don’t know
i thought my slfl experience was the worst but now i realize mine is so insignificant compared to yours
the fans pushing in line are literally making me so angry oh my god
I'm going to troye sivan soonish and this made me really nervous XD
+fangheel i saw troye sivan in february and from what i remember it was pretty chill
+fangheel i went last month in London, and the floor standing was packed but everyone around me seemed really friendly and nice tbh, have a good time, his amazing x
+fangheel I saw troye last week and the concerts are very chill dw
I saw him in March the concert was really laid back, and the people there were super nice. I hope you have a great time!
I went 2 weeks ago but don't worry all the fans are chill x you'll be safe
this reminds me of the crowd at all time low concerts, except usually 30+ people get pulled out there
I go to mostly GA shows and they are all like this and it is horrible. I can't breathe, it gets super hot, and I always have to end up going to the back of the crowd just to catch my breathe, but I just accept it and watch from the back where there is a lot of room and enjoy myself anyway. I hate how people can be so mean when they are the ones being unfair. I get it, girl.
the Michael picture you used for censoring lmao
THATS SO SWEET OF HIM omg
im sorry but during the beginning of a concert its normal for people to try to get to the front and push people around when the lights go out... that happens at every ga concert ive been to
It's not normal to the concerts I've been to...
+Daisy Drumm then the fan base must be real assholes 😐
i want to find that boy who helped you cause god bless him
"tumblr enthusiasts" IM CRYING
that is so crazy, the EXACT same this happened at the 1975 concert i went to last december!!
GA crowds get so insane and it's a shame you had to deal with such shitty people :/ Hopefully other GA shows won't ever get as bad again for you
this is literally what happened to me at slfl. i didn't get pulled out but i also experienced my first panic attack in the standing crowd. some fans are just so horrible and no one seems to know what personal space is anymore! so scary. but obviously 5sos made it all better when they came on and everyone kind of settled down
At my 1975 concert it happened 5 times. Ur okay girl 😂 but after the second time they stopped stopping the show
but what do i do i have social anxiety...... and i'm going to a TØP concert...... i'm now scared
If it's in an arena it's much better there is no pushing or shoving and u can get there late
+Nick Chong it is an arena
also people are generally really respectful at twenty one pilots concerts, there's not a lot of pushing (at least there wasn't that much at mine) and if you're in trouble and need assistance the crowd and the security are so ready to help you out. especially since youre going to an arena show, since it's larger and there's more space.
people at tøp concerts are so fucking kind its ridiculous, i made friends w so many people and the arena ones are generally better since its more open
The clique is a lot more respectful and understanding. If you have a panic attack I'm very sure that they will help you get assistance. btw your username is scaring me.
