- A day of lakes, riding the highest paved pass in the French Alps and Europe and being reunited with my partner for a week of adventure together.

Stunning video. Good tip, use the Light of the afternoon. I would like to tell everybody that long long ago there was a steam train running over the Mont Cenis , it used the Fellsche System for grip. The most beautiful panorama is the Tête d'Arpy. It is a 15 min walk from the Colle San Carlo. You won't regret!!

It's another great one, I love it when you drive more off-road. the places you will get to usually are much better. regarding views and places. Besides your bike is made for it. (KTM 890 R rider myself), trying to challenge myself each year despite my age :P) I think you are doing great!

Spontaneously made the route last year from Hamburg to Menton and back on my R9T. Absolutely gorgeous scenery, met great people, would recommend the tour any day. Not so much the bike tho for the tour. 😅 will 1000% do it again. Next time with a more comfy bike tho
Haaa Leonoor, weer een geweldige video! Maar toch even een tip van mij als oud videograaf en motorrijder. Bij jouw beelden tijdens het rijden, rij ik gevoelsmatig mee, dus ik wil ook goed de weg kunnen zien en door de bochten kijken. Maar dat gedeelte van het beeld wordt geblokkeerd door jouw windscherm en Tomtom. Kijk eens of je de GoPro op je helm hoger kunt zetten. Ik snap dat indien de GoPro bovenop je helm staat de kadrering minder mooi is. Misschien aan de zijkant van je helm monteren of op een beugel op het stuur. Voor de rest, super super super!
Bedankt voor je input, maar de plek is zeer overwogen gekozen ook ivm residu van stickers etc die ik niet op mijn helm wil. Zijkant en bovenop mijn helm geeft zeer onrustig beeld en creëert een extra windvanger dus die plekken zijn verre van ideaal

I just showed your channel to my partner, hoping she would like the idea for a trip to the French alps this year.
Unfortunately she has not much experience (basically no experience at all) off-rode. As she saw you riding on the Ducati, her excuse was, you must be really tall 😊. She is riding a v-strom 650 and has around 7000 km overall experience.
May I ask how tall you are ?
Is the bike original height or did you lowered it ?

Hey Alex, thanks for your reply, awesome that it is moving you to do your own trip together. I'm sure you'll make it work, even if you exclude the offroad bits. The French Alps are amazing on the road! With the simple gravel paths you see in the videos it would be a perfect "learning curve". I myself don't have that much experience too and of course there are some tricky bits here and there, but if you ride together (assuming you do have some experience) you will make it work - no doubts. I'm only 1,68m, so not the tallest. I lowered the bike with a lowering suspension kit and a lowered seat, which saves me about 3/4cm I believe in total. Hope this helped!

Hiya I've noticed you use the TOM TOM Rider does it do everything you need sometimes you use your smartphone? I've always used Tom Tom in my car but most seem to use the Garmin, just whats your thoughts. Love watching your Vids Pete

You may be interested in another mountain pass - 4,655 meters - Akbaytal. It is located in Pamir Mountains.

I'm loving this series, I rode through that area on the D902 last June on my way to Lake Como from the UK (we had 5 days) so it was at a faster pace but these videos take me back and show me that I need to go back at a more relaxed pace. It was my first motorcycle tour and won't be the last.
Also a very nice road, but hey what's not to like about these Alps.. I'm sure you will catch a lot when having some more time and stopping here and there to take in the views. Hope you do so!
