a 200hp KRX would be sweet! Hopefully kawi has that for us on their next big release

A cabbed, HVAC, premium utility vehicle would be a winner from Kawasaki. I don’t like the A-arms though. No new SxS should come without arched ones…. who knows, maybe they’ll switch it up come production…. Either way, I’m excited to see what Kawi delivers here!!!

I am a farmer in SD (street legal sxs) and couldn’t be more excited about this machine. I LOVED my mule, but not the dust and cold that comes along with an open station. Been hoping for a luxury cabbed utility machine from Kawasaki for a few years now. I think they could sell a ton but price point needs to be 35k on the high end for a limited type model. These 40k+ machines are just unappealing. I just bought a very nice 2020 crew cab pickup with less than 20k miles for 40k. I realize they are not the same… but I can drive that pickup 100,000 miles, pretty well trash it, and it will still be reliable and worth good money.
That’s exactly my thought as well if the price point is right i would think it would be great for someone who wants a comfortable utility machine with some power that’ll go anywhere on the farm I’d probably buy one if I was in your shoes as well but if you can get a decent small pickup or jeep for the same or cheaper price that’ll last 4x as long I don’t see it selling that well.
@@rebelsoffroad A well optioned Ford Maverick XLT 2.0L Ecoboost AWD (we love that engine in our Escape) stickers for $33,850. In ways it has more versatility than a SXS, and in other areas it falls short. I've found that most cabbed SXS's around here are used significantly more as a small pickup truck than a true offroad vehicle.
A Northstar Ultimate Ranger 1500 MSRP starts at $49,499. That is absolutely insane. Unaffordable for any middle class person. Even if you could afford it... you just can't justify it.
Like I said, I really hope this machine starts in the 20s and doesn't go past the mid 30s. I like everything I have seen so far. Hoping for something other than a traditional CVT.
I am sure it is a on par with the defender and ranger, I know a lot of people say it is stupid to come out with a utv like this. I live in Utah and the defenders and rangers, xpeditions are way harder to find than pure sport utv’s, this is what most people want a utv that is enclosed, hvac so you can ride anytime of year. I hope kawi knocks it out of the park with this. Enclosed cab utv are the hottest selling right now. If people are paying $50 grand to $60 grand for a turbo r and new x3 why is it crazy to buy an enclosed cab for $35-40,000. Jeeps cannot go 50mph on washboard roads like my defender can.
Good point I guess it would be very dependent on where you live and what your needs are. A farmer in the Midwest or someone who wants to ride year round somewhere where it’s in the 115 or -15 degrees this might be the ticket. Just wish these features were on something more Offroad capable than the defender/ranger type platform.
Man at 50 grand I would just get in line and buy one of the new Ford Raptor Rangers coming out their MSRP is mid 50s fully loaded and would easily be able to do 80% of what a SXS can do in most situations plus you can drive it home on the road lol.

Told you! The Kawasaki is following the Honda business plan with releasing the powertrain in a utility machine first. The Japanese are typically more conservative and will focus on reliability vs true performance, and only once they feel comfortable with the reliability, will they move into the performance side. Also Polaris sells more Utility Ranger models per year than pure sport machines. So Kawasaki could easily sell more Ridge’s vs KRX’s.
They need to stop being so conservative in the SXS lol 😂 their motorcycles are anything but conservation
90% sure now that this is going to be a challenger to the Polaris overland line. They're going to put that inline 4 out to get miles that aren't as aggressive as rock crawling, etc 26 will probably be the much improved KRX using the big engine

It’s actually more like ranger 1500 , suspension on the xpedition is better , also the ridge doesn’t have high clearance A arms
A huge amount of SXS are being sold as a town car, this will be exactly that, a loaded up fancy SXS town car with all the comforts of a regular vehicle
Looks like it's just going to be a farm vehicle to me just like the general and the commander just an updated version of The Mule with better features
It will be a shame when f it’s not a sport machine. They would have the best sport machine on the market if it had more power. This would have been the perfect opportunity for them to have produced the best machine on the market. But it’s looking like they have dropped the ball on this one.
Kawasaki is very patient. They're eventually going to have a mid 200 HP machine, but they're going to have the engineering as close to perfect as well. There's no other machine out of the box that is more beefy and stout as the KRX.
Turbo r and pro r are beefier my opinion. But at one point the krx was.. not anymore
It will be similar to a General or RMax. Looks smaller than a Ranger or Expedition. 2 more models coming soon. Hopefully they give us a Gen2 KRX! 🤞🏻😎
It’s a utility vehicle with dump bed like the ranger 1500 , I’ve already seen it . I’ve only seen a 2 door though so not sure if they will have a 4 door right away .
The lack of horsepower in the KRX is the only thing that stops me on pulling the trigger on a new 4 seater! Hopefully they put that engine in one soon.
exactly! and I think many feel the same. I would buy a 4cly 4 seater supercharged KRX yesterday if they released it. lol

Pretty easy to see that maybe to compete with rmax or polaris
I'm almost 100% sure it's a utility machine, I would guess maybe around 110hp, by the motor, hopefully a heavy clutch/ belt.
It’s going to be an expedition vehicle like the Polaris ADV Northstar. It shows to be an inclosed cab with a/c and heat.
I think this thing might be a step up from the Teryx4. Maybe to compete with the General, or Defender.

Have you never heard of the Kawasaki Mule. Around before the ranger.
Yeah the mule has been around since the 80s it’s known to be underpowered and not very comfortable. With the teryx and mule made by Kawasaki it doesn’t make a ton of sense to have another utility which is what I’ve been saying but still The ridge will have at least part utility focus and be more capable and comfortable than typical Kawasaki utility offering

What's a quailover?
Coilover is an abbreviation of coil over shock absorber. It’s one of the main suspension components on the SXS and is usually one of the biggest determining factors on ride quality.
