    Since most gamers are upgrading to 1440p monitors (or looking to as it's the sweet spot between image quality and smoothness )i think 1440p is the go to resolution right now and would definitely like to see more 1440p monitor reviews .

      Is 2560x1440 2k?

    • @bardavidson2102
      @bardavidson2102 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rodolfotsang4327 Technically not but many people refer to it as such but 2k is a term only referring to the number of horizontal pixels so any resolution with that number at or close to 2048 is considered 2k like 1920x1080.
      also 1440p ultrawide 3440x1440 and 1440p super ultrawide 5120x1440 are more demanding than 2560x1440 (which is the resolution people typically mean to when they say 1440p)
      Resolution is the number of horizontal pixels multiplyed by the number of vertical pixels, fo 2560x1440 is at about 3.6 million pixels while 5120x1440 is 7.2 exactly double the pixel count, for context 4k 3840x2160 is 8.3 pixels meaning running a game at 5120x1440 is nearly as much demanding as running a game at 4k.

    Its a decent monitor, even for competitive shooters. I recommend highly, bought one $400 AUD ($290US) brand new. Just keep it on middle response time to avoid ghosting or inverse ghosting. 4k downscaling on Xbox series X looks fantastic also. Only con is peak brightness, but hey, I'm sure we all have curtains. Current new models also have all the updated firmware so no annoying USB bullshit to allow 4k signal etc. Also, split screen coop is fine viewing angle wise.

      In my opinion, the nipple is the best form of navigation. A lot of monitors don't label the buttons from the front so you have to guess which button does what. Also it's always a pain in the butt when adjusting the picture. I can never remember which button is up, down, or select. The nipple makes it easy because it's pretty much a d-pad.

    Being incompetent in competitive gaming isn't something that can be fixed by buying a more expensive monitor. You blame your own failure on the monitor's speed. You are nitpicking so much. You are like: My car, which I bought for half the price, is not as fast as expensive cars, so it's bad...
    You are waiting for flagship performance from a product that is not. If you want a flagship experience then just go and buy a flagship product. This is a budget product and it's doing its job very well.

    I'm sure most people can agree this monitor is perfect for people who play games after work and also watch TH-cam. Even if you game seriously- were talking about milliseconds here. I've played on 10ms monitors and tv's and then played on 1ms. It's MINIMAL. 300 for a high refresh rate and high resolution. Cmon. Build quality is just stupid to talk about... bro sit it on your desk and thats it.

      @@garbageman2792 point one, HOW DID YOU KNOW I WAS usING IT FOR MY SERIES X?, you are a wizard lol annnnd my question if anyone (you) can help me. i am using it currently on my series x, the g5 Samsung odyssey 32 inch, I LOVE it the graphics are pin point and that curve is so immersive, i am just stumped as i can not find a game that offers 120 hz, and when i do find a game that utilizes the true hz, and am comparing to a non 120 hz game, or turning the settings on a 120hz game off and on to 60hz and back to 120hz and i can not and do not know if i am playing in true 120 hz because when i turn settings off and on between games at 120hz and then turning the setting off and trying it vice versa i can not tell a difference, so i am stumped as if i am actually getting true buttery smooth performance, it seems legit, i just do not know what my true fps is in games, fyi. so i am stumped to if i should just game on my 4k 60 hz monitor or keep this for future games that may offer 120 hz, it is a 1440p monitor, and what if a game is 4k, 120hz. will my monitor output 1440p 120 hz? is my point. please help anyone and thanks and much appreciated.

      That's just because I knew lol, I too am running 4K 60 hertz right now as well, looking forward to faster screen time and 1440p 120hz on something smaller than my TV. Microsoft just made a lot of games 120 FPS with a boost so it's quite common now in our main titles.

    lol this is weird , you’re being very biased and comparing to monitors double its capabilities…. If you’re going from 1080p 60hz 1ms, to this, you’ll notice a huge difference. Compared to a monitor worth 800$ ? When this one is worth 350? Ofc the 800$ monitor makes this one look mediocre

    One thing I don't like is many monitors don't have speakers. It is nice to have a choice between the integrated ones or the ones you like. I have a small desk and so I can't have stuff everywhere and the rat's nest of unnecessary wires. The way that Samsung designed the power supply it is a bit of a mess on its own. I wonder how many people have that power brick dangling haphazardly behind the desk putting strain on the monitor power port because they didn't make the cord long enough from the brick so it can rest on the ground. We should remind Samsung that these are monitors not laptops!! My Syncmaster XL2370HD has the proper IEC power cord that could plug into the computer power supply just as easily. Now these days they seem to be looking for ways to slowly reduce the durability of their products or make them more prone to failures that they would blame on user error. No, the only user error there was tolerating this bullshit engineering!!
