What I'm thinking is there's this album art of a Caraphernelia single and some mentions of it on PtV's archived myspace. Maybe that had the acapella and the instrumental?
Most songs do this. It's called overdubbing and creates wide and full vocal tracks. Harmonies on top of this make for some pretty excellent vocal tracks.

thats how isolating tracks work. its next to impossible to get an official studio acapella without the artists specifically uploading them, and even then - labels and shit make it 10x more of a pain in the ass. so all you can really do is do a LOT of equalising and compression that fucks up a lot of parts, so to get something THIS clear and well done, takes a fucking piss ton of effort and literally each bar needs to be pieced out and equalised itself to be able to have something THIS clear/well made. but obviously its impossible to get it 1000% perfect because there's gonna be vocal frequencies that are the same as the instrumentals, so you cant completely remove the little bits of music without messing up the vocals or watering them out, etc. it really takes a ton of fucking effort to make something super clean, eq out music, compression to level it, eq out more music, rinse repeat for every different section if you're trying to make the absolute best possible isolation possible without having the trackouts/studio vocal recording files
