I'm really impressed with your fortitude, walking through the rain. I would have waited it out (but if it's going to rain all day, probably not) "Asi es la vida" (3:23) Chicken crossing, hahaha (5:48) That's a beautiful door (6:03) Looks like a scene from "Shangri-La" (7:02) The ceiling and walls of the albergue are beautiful (12:00) The Benedictines are very traditional. That monk could have step ped out of 6th century (12:26-12:37) Wow! You captured the essence of the monastery in those short clips. Thanks for another great video. Stay healthy and safe. God bless!
Hi Rachelle. I am a pilgrim like you who this year has not gone out on the Camino and I have killed the bug watching videos of the Camino in YOU TUBE. A few days ago I saw one of your videos and I was hooked in such a way that I have seen the 32 that you have uploaded. I did this Camino in 2015 and it has given me joy to remember it again. In them you have shown the reality of the Camino, wich I have not seen in other videos, because you show your feelings, just as we feel them in our walks, in addition to appreciating the elegance with which you make the recordings, respecting exquisitely the intimacy of the other pilgrims and skillfully recreating the landscapes that you have been able to accompany with excelent music. My congratulations and hopefully one day we will meet on the Camino.
Thank you so very much for taking the time to watch and leave such thoughtful, moving words. 🙏 I’m so happy that my experience resonates with you and I hope we can all return soon. Until then, be well and Buen Camino! 👣
Thank you for showing us the purity of a true pilgrimage through your feelings. Very few Vbloggers show the essence of El Camino, apart from the typical references to accommodations and things like that. Buen Camino
i found you about a week ago and have been glued to everything you have posted so far. Your choice of music truly reflects the spirit of what (I imagine) the Camino is all about. Honestly, your responses to the views, the religious buildings and services have touched me so much. You have edited your work with true sensitivity and I am eagerly awaiting the rest of your Camino story. I may have to re-watch several times before my planned trip next spring, just to make sure I don't miss some of the delights you have shown.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. I try to pick music to reflect my day and I appreciate you taking the time to watch. I wish you the very best in planning your journey-stay safe and Buen Camino!! 👣
I walked the Camino in May 2019 and the walk from Fonfria to Samos was in the top or 3 days on the Camino. It was so beautiful and fortunately for me sunny. It was wonderful seeing your video, it was down to earth and the scenery is just like I remember it. It brought me many happy memories to reminisce about today.
I took the other route and it was amazingly beautiful. Deep down to the roots of nature, to cute tiny villages, spectacular mountain views and through fairytale like forests. But according to your video the other way to Samos also seems to be worth a walk :). All over nice area there. Maybe one day a take route number two (and then drive back by taxi and walk number one as well :D ) ...
Hi Rachelle, I don't really write comments on TH-cam but really wanted to take some time to thank you. I stumbled upon your packing video last year and now have watched all you vlogs. Your videos are so genuine and positive. The emotions you shared in the vlogs really make me more determined to take some time off from work in 2021 (fingers crossed) and walk the Camino. Thank you! And can't wait to see the rest of your Camino journey :)
Sincerest apologies for the delay in responding! I appreciate these kindest words. They truly touch me, knowing that the moments I captured for remembrance are able to bring something positive to other people. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. Be well and Buen Camino!! 🙏👣❤️
Thank you yet again.I love your journey and with all the problems today it's as close as I'll get to the Camino this year. You are bringing so much joy to so many of us. Stay safe .
Good morning ... Thank you for another stage of the Magic Path. Monastery of Samos with a lot of rain, I remembered a lot of my way it was like this with rain and strong winds. Until. Success to you.
There is no wrong way! 😊 Just a reason to go back and do it again. I would love to see that giant shell in many photos I’ve seen, so I suppose I’ll have to go back, too! 👣
Thank you so much! I truly believe that trying to see the blessings and the positive details (however minute, sometimes, lol) will shape your journey (and life) for the better! 😊
Hi from Melbourne, Australia. I have been watching your Camino vlogs with great interest! I was planning on doing the Camino Francés next year, but think I will hold off until 2022 and fingers crossed all the COVID precautions will have eased by then. Am excited to watch your final stages when they are available... you have given me great confidence to walk solo when I go... thank you for the amazing effort you have put into your vlogs!! 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for watching!! I was reticent to travel alone at first, but as I planned and researched, I gained confidence. And I never looked back! I would do it again in a heartbeat (and I’m hoping to do another Camino one day soon). Wishing you health until your own journey! Buen Camino! 👣
It's always frightfully top-hole to enjoy some rainy days interlaced with one's Camino, especially in Galicia. At least you avoided being enshrouded in the tremulous mist that can haunt these parts and still managed to get the first sight of the monastery into shot.
Thanks for the next installment. The walk into Samos is breathtaking. Beautiful vistas and landscapes. I really enjoy your videos and will probably be a little sad when you get to Santiago.
Thank you for posting these videos. I was hoping to walk a section of the Camino this year but the pandemic has put a stop to all of my travel plans. I’ve enjoyed watching all of your videos and seeing the sights along the way and I look forward to seeing the completion of the journey . I enjoy your honest but positive attitude to the joys and hardships of the trip, and hope that I get to experience some of them in the future. Again thank you for sharing your experience with others.
I appreciate you following along and for taking the time to comment. I hope you will make your journey soon! Until then, stay safe and be well!! Buen Camino!! 👣
Was so happy to see another one up.. enjoying your journey.. I like hearing the different names of all the places you travel through as you are able to pronounce them so much better the me..!! Ha ha hope your and your family are not by any of the fires in California .. stay safe 🌺 Aloha..
Haha, I try!! Thank you! Fires are raging all over here, but fortunately, all our family and friends are out of harms way. Thank you for the well-wishes! Stay safe and be well!
Almost one year has passed by since I last stopped by! Ready to finish the Camino with you! Meanwhile I took my very first pilgrimage, here, in Brazil. Its called "Caminho da Fé", "The Walk of Faith". It was fantastic and I just cant wait for Santiago!
Welcome back! And how wonderful for you to do a Camino in your home country! I will look it up-have not heard of this one! I’m so happy you had a fantastic journey. Buen Camino! 👣
Yes the walk to Samos is beautiful! Here’s a tidbit.... while I was standing on the bridge taking some pics a local informed me that the monastery has 175 windows. 👣
Yes, I would like that to as well as maybe a video where you walk us through the things you would have done differently though I doubt there was much, and things that are an absolute must to due during The Camino
What month did you go? We were supposed to be there Aug 2020 but we are now hoping for September-October 2021. I'm just curious about the weather. Love your videos!
Hi!! I traveled September 12-October 19, 2019. And I was blessed with pretty ideal weather, so would highly recommend it. Just be prepared for heat and rain! 😊👣 Buen Camino!!!
Day 33 goes live tomorrow. I reached Santiago on October 19th and will have the rest of the videos before the end of the month. Thank you for your patience! 👣
I noticed that, too. It’s not doing it while I edit, so perhaps something on the TH-cam side when it uploads. 🤔 Working in the next one now so will see what happens. Thanks for the heads up!
Beautiful. Love watching your walks! Your videos and journey remind me of a song I just heard from Morgan Harper Nichols called Tell The Story here on TH-cam

Following you in 2024. Beautiful monastery. Samos on my list!
Good morning ... Thank you for another stage of the Magic Path. Monastery of Samos with a lot of rain, I remembered a lot of my way it was like this with rain and strong winds. Until. Success to you.
Thank you! 👣
I took the other way but you convinced me I took the wrong decision! How beautiful this was...the rain belongs to it 😊. Thanks again.
There is no wrong way! 😊 Just a reason to go back and do it again. I would love to see that giant shell in many photos I’ve seen, so I suppose I’ll have to go back, too! 👣
@@IllGetThere I made the same decision 😊. And you are right again.... I passed the shell 👣👣
Good to see you are still kicking ass!
Thank you!
Lovely Samos
Indeed!
We were waiting for this one! YAY! Looks like you had a great day, even with the rain. Your attitude was amazing! Inspirational!

@@IllGetThere Would you mind putting a link to where you got your silicone ring? I think that's what you have on, right?
I don’t have a link, but I got it from REI-it’s a Qalo women’s eternity band. 😊
Beautifull part to Somos...next time I walk the Camino (2021 ??) I will also take the longer road to the right !!! Thank you fot this nice video.
I hope you are able to make your Camino this year! Thank you for watching and Buen Camino!
