I found a comment of you on a Necrophagist video saying you would attempt to make a tutorial video on the Fermented Offal Discharge solo. I decided to click on your channel and holyshit, you actually did make a lesson about the solo. You're a legend dude, keep on shredding.

The solo on the demo is quite a bit different. Someone said it took him 7 years to write, perseverance which I find even more impressive.

Technical Death Metal!!!
Great lesson ! I would only argue that the "Paganini/Vivaldi" cheeky riff.. it'd be much closer to Baroque (especially JS Bach). This pattern *(inverted/dominant pedal point)* is very common in his Toccata's and some Fugues.
Suiçmez's neoclassical approach to solos is usually 2 normal chords progression (i-v/v-i/i-III+) then "riding" the diminished arpeggios on the supertonic _(iiø7 or ii˚)_ & the leading-tone _(vii˚7)_ chords in Harmonic Minor. More than half the solo arpeggiates/sweeps around these (in no order) : _i/ii˚/v/vii˚7_ , where *ii* and *vii* both share the diminished arpeggios of D harm. minor : *E-G-Bb-(Db)* interchangeably with _(D)_ -- _(Db)_ is the dim 7th and putting _(D)_ instead makes *"ii"* a half-diminished 7th chord (ø7). The solo closes on descending the 4 variations of the vii˚7 chord

I'd say it depends on the number of hours you put into the instrument everyday and how consistent you are.

@@chriszoupa7898 listening to the solo slowed down, I think that the tapping phrase you play at 9:53 ends in 17-15-10 instead of 17-15-12. Most covers I've seen do it like you show it but I'm pretty sure i hear a 10 there. Would you be so awesome to check it out?

these lessons have made me a better guitar player than what I could've ever done on my own. I can't get a guitar teacher but these have helped me more than any teacher could have. Christian Muenzer is a beast! We need more of him here. Some solos from omnivium or cosmogenesis! The Apparition solo from SoP would be sweet! Danny Tunker has a playthrough/cover on his channel of it but a detailed "how to" would be great!

same here man. This was one of the very first things i ever started to practice on guitar. and though i cant say i practised every day(or even every year) i can now remember the notes of the first 1/6th of this solo.... If i reincarnate twice i'll be able to master this eventually

I have been trying to learn it for ages but I can't seem to work out the picked arpeggios at the beginning. or the runs. Hell I can barely work out the melodic parts. How low is the action on your guitar and how high is the gain on your settings for you to do that w/o a pick? It doesn't look like you are "picking" that hard but the notes come out fairly clearly. Just curious.
If you do Phobophile by Cryptopsy I would sell you my soul. I usually learn solos by ear entirely now days but that one is just nuts and I can't make it out by ear and I can't find good tabs.
