Hi Nicolas. I am 79 and have loved Van Gogh for most of my life. Went to see an exibition of his paintings and was so moved just to be near them. Read every single one of his letters to his brother Theo. Thank you for taking us with you to the exhibition. Particularly happy to watch you today as I was in need of something uplifting. All the best.
Dear Nicolas! 72 year old grandmother here, who has learned a great deal from you! Thank you for such uplifting and enlightening videos. I feel that I am visiting with a kind friend.
When I was about 40, ages ago, I was referred by a friend to a dermatologist who supposedly doled out Botox liberally. When I inquired for the scowl lines between my eyebrows she basically said, if I fix those the rest of your face will just be more pronounced! OMG! 😅 Age gracefully. And naturally. You’re beautiful and fine. 🌹
Hi Nicolas! I'm Spanish. You can also add an apple to the salmorejo instead of bread, it makes it healthier and the taste is almost the same! Thank you for the video, take care
Your skin looked wonderful after that mask! Absolutely glowing. Your garden space is now my favorite part of your current home. I’m sure spending time there helps you and Sophie relax.
Your facial skin is so healthy and beautiful and also your shiny and clean hair. Thank you for sharing Van Gogh and more importantly for telling us about the hard life he had. You are a very empathetic person where you feel the pain of others and what they went through. Thank you for teaching us all how to care and enjoy life. XXX
1. You’re reading the mask details after you’ve put it on, hilarious. 2. Debauchery. All smiles. 3. Art: saw the show in Paris, enjoyed it so. 4. You’re such a gem. Keep making videos of you doing you. I am inspired by your insights and findings that you share; your style is impeccable.
Nicolas, enjoyed this. I remembered studying Vincent Van Gough in my Art Appreciation class in college which I really enjoyed. Thank you for taking us though this beautiful display of his art. Looking at his paintings, it is sad that no one when he was alive appreciated his talent. The soup looks so delicious. I will have to make it. Looking forward to next week video.
The Van Gogh display was very entertaining. Such a shame he never knew how much he would be appreciated. Your garden is a relaxing, pretty place for us to enjoy with you. Tomato soup is a summer treat and your recipe has a twist with the French bread. Can't wait for next week's show!
Watching someone else prepare food is very relaxing to me. Your beautiful courtyard garden and the use of the nice glassware and pretty dishes would make every meal something special. And the fresh flowers are such a great touch! Anyone would enjoy your delicious soup in that setting!
A thousand thanks for taking your viewers to the Van Gogh art exhibition! Your commentary was so sweet and insightful, you really are an old soul with a gentle heart. Thank you Nicolas for the lovely video!
I believe that if Van Gogh could have seen his paintings displayed in this unique manner he would have been delighted and amused! If he could have heard you speaking so sweetly about him, he may have cried a tear and thanked you for ❤ caring.
I am not a big Doctor Who fan but the Van Gogh episode is worth watching. So moving and with the end everyone is wishing for. 🌟 This episode gets me every time.
Thank you so much for sharing your day❣️ How well you take care of yourself with masks, beautiful meals outside, etc! I need to work on this for myself. I would certainly appreciate it. Wish me luck💐
Hello Nicholas! And you are a charming young man. It is necessary to prepare such a dinner, simple and tasty, and even bring great relaxation in the air. Thank you.❤❤❤❤😊
Nicolas you are such beautiful refined soul and I do as grandmother enjoy watching you weekly and can’t wait for next episode.Soup is great and I will try also as many others.
Thank you Nicholas - I really enjoyed your musings on Van Gogh. We went to a similar exhibit in Washington, D.C. (which is near us) just a few months ago. We were also struck by the fact that he never experienced the fruits of his wonderful labours here in this life. I, too, hope that he is experiencing great joy in his achievements now and that he is happy with himself and at peace. I was also struck by the great friendship he had with his brother and how that friendship sustained him through so many dark periods in his life.
If you haven’t seen the Van Gogh episode of the Doctor Who, do so. Even if you’re not a fan or haven’t watched it… so beautiful, poignant, bittersweet, and one of the best episodes in my opinion.🥹
100% Agreed! One of the best Dr Who episodes! It captures Van Gogh so well and I still search for the Tardis in his painting of the night sky. You never know…..
Hi from Texas Nicolas! My husband and I love Van Gogh. We share your sentiments about him. Love the self care share! Your a real treat for relaxing and inspiration! Thank you for sharing!! 🫶🏼✌🏼
I’ve always loved alfresco dining and love making even the smallest things in life pleasurable. The way you take us along on these videos always feels like an event and why not? The outside area looks lovely🪴🌺🌞🍾🥂💖😘
What a good video. Skincare tips always welcome. Loved the van Gough walk through. Loved the soup, that doesn't look too difficult to try. Hurrah. Then sat in your little courtyard garden and lunch outside. A little bit of this and a little bit of that, fantastic thanknyou so much
Hello Nicolas, I love Salmorejo, I make it every 3 days and I have it for lunch every day. Some one told me , if you want it to be less calories , substitute the bread with an apple. The consistency will be the same and the flavor to. Also, use the bread completely, the crust to . It is all blended so, it will be ok. I am from Spain my self, so I know. Thank you Nicolas for an other lovely video.
I enjoyed your skin care routine. I have gotten back into taking care of my skin after of years of neglect. And can see a big difference Drink lots more water and your skin moisturizer helps as well Thank
Watching your videos is as if one is stepping briefly back in time. Not too many people accomplish in their lifetime how to just sit and be. You have mastered that. You can just sit and be by yourself Taking in life and living the experience of everyday life. Not just hurry, take a sneak peek, and going through the motions of breath, exhale, and repeat. We actually see how you are absorbing life as you sit in a park, cook, sit in your garden, take a walk and shop. You have the know how to enjoy life's simplest moments. I hope you understand as to what I'm trying to say. It's a gift one masters to walk the paths of everyday life and into the future with a sense of happiness, wholeness and gratitude. Cheers my friend!
Nicholas! You have lost weight. Somehow, you do not age. You youthen. Lovely video, this. Relaxing, informative, and delightful. I enjoy the music you paired with the video. Poignant. You are a treasure. Never stop making these. They showcase what makes life a joy. Thank you!
So nice Nicolas. The exhibition was a high point for me and seeing the Hampstead environs where I used to live. There was a quick view of my favourite house in Hampstead, right opposite John Keats house and the library. A very special episode and ending with a summer soup. Delicious and thank you so much. Carolyn
Thanks so much for showing us the Van Gogh Exhibition. Amazing, and the photography was fabulous. Slow, steady panning....very professional. Gave your viewers time to have a good look.
Have a wonderful and exciting week ,and bring back to your viewers all the interesting and fun activities you enjoyed! Thank you for sharing your escapades.
Thanks so much for giving to us these precious and relaxing moments and for Van Gogh exhibition of his paintings as you said he had a very tormented life I hope he is in very place now and looking down how much we appreciate all his marvelous paintings
Your salmorejo recipe was mouthwatering. It is exactly as we make it at home, yummy yummy. The breadcrumbs give it that special thickness. So tasty and refreshing for the hot summer days. Also loved the Van Gogh exhibition.
Hi Nick! I went to Van Gogh Exhibition in Boston at the Strand Theatre. We were transformed. It was Wonderful. We had 3d glasses to take the journey around Arles, France. My sisters and I were VIPs by having our tickets for a year! Pandemic made us wait. Great summer soup.
What a great exhibit- a truly novel and modern way to showcase a great artist’s works. I lived not far from hampstead heath when i lived in north London for 3 years-very beautiful area and very popular place where the “beautiful” people live.
You can put your mask in the refrigerator to cool before using it. It feels so relaxing and especially nice after a hot day outside. ☺️. You look fab. Cheers!
Yes! You pronounced Van Gogh’s name correctly after your friend called you. We visited his room in the boarding house he lived when we were in France. Just outside Paris. Also saw he and his brother Theo’s graves. Some fields and the church he painted. Wonderful excursion. Beautiful memories. Blessings to you from Queensland Australia 🙏🇦🇺❤️🙏🇦🇺❤️
Bonjour Nicolas, you speak beautifully of Vincent Van Gogh. And you're quite right, wherever he is now, I do believe he is proud of what he achieved and he knows that a lot of people love him and his Art.
What a great video! Thanks, Nicholas! Oh, just a side note, the skin of a tomato is very sharp and they make small cuts in the intestine, which leads to leaky gut. So, when in doubt, always peel
Nicolas love to see you taking care of yourself well done sweetie. Love what you do to your skin. Because of you l have learned to do the same . Nicolas you look amazing and the soup was very delicious. Here in New York we are celebrating Father's Day Father's Day to your father. Here has been very fresh air. I'm glad you are feeling good . Love the scenes of London. Stay safe and healthy. Take care of yourself and be wise love. See you soon in the next video . I really enjoy it .
This looks like a fabulous lunch, everything looks perfect. Thank you for bringing us along on the Van Gogh exhibition, must have been such a treat to see his work. 🌻🐕🇺🇸
One day one of those "elegant" homes will be yours. That mask made you look rosy! Came to Raleigh, North Carolina a couple of months ago. Sadly, I missed it. It looks like an amazing experience.
Wow ~ the Van Gogh exhibition was amazing! Starry Starry Night was enchanting. Studying Van Gogh as a member of another channel. Quite interesting. Thank you for sharing. 🌟
Yet another wonderful video! You were born with the gift of being a Video Instructor! You are so at ease, you can't help but feel relaxed after viewing one of your enchanting videos!! I always wish that I could be there with you! Congratulations on the success of your channel. Best regards from Kansas City! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟😃🍀🌈🌹🍀🎉♥️
I really enjoyed looking at the beautiful paintings, your soup looks so delicious. I truly enjoyed this weeks video, NIcolas thank you for sharing have a wonderful week ahead.
Beautiful natural scenery, and the bittersweet walkthrough of the Van Gough experience. Great recipe (I’ve heard consuming olive oil is great for the skin too.)! You and Sophie are really enjoying all the benefits of your cozy garden. Excellent choice!🪴👍Cheers to pleasant days of relaxation!
Thank you for a relaxing few minutes of the day you shared with us, Nicolas. I can only imagine how moving the exhibition of Vincent Van Gogh felt. An experience like that can last a lifetime. I love a hot tomato soup and never thought of trying a cooler one. I love how you demonstrate the recipe, making it look so easy. I will try it for sure. Your past videos made the statement of "Making Life More Beautiful." It is certainly true with your life.
I enjoyed watching your relaxing day. Being good to yourself is so uplifting. I think it inspires others to be good to themselves too. Thanks for sharing.
Hi 👋 Nicholas and all. I’m afraid I missed this yesterday due to Father’s Day. I hope everyone enjoyed the day ! Thank you Nicholas for another wonderful vlog. A mix of a little bit of food and culture. The patio is lovely 😊 so glad you & Sofie are enjoying it so much. 🥰
Oh I love you with the mask and without the mask Nicolas! My friend, "esteticienne" reminded me the other day that exfoliating the skin is very important. I was inspired by you and put a mask on which I had as a present from Guerlain for my birthday. I look always forward for time with you in a forthcoming video. Thank you for your inspiring videos, the journey to the home of your sister. I wish your family much energie and courage for the houserenovation. It is always much longer than foreseen... Much love from Paris
So nice that you got an opportunity to enjoy London for pleasure and not business! I'm glad you got to have this experience without the pressure of having to do any work related tasks. Beautiful video as always! Take care, friend!
Lovely garden set up. I love how you have decorated your outdoor space to make it look so inviting and cozy for you and Sophie. I loved the Van Gough exhibit I saw it here in Austin, Texas. Van Gough's story is very sad, but finally his art is being recognized and cherished. Keep delighting us with videos and new ideas for your brand. I love to see your travels they are tranquil and beautiful a delight to end my week. Look forward to all your new adventures to cure me from the extreme heat in Texas.
Dear Nicolas, thank you for the beautiful video, the exhibition is amazing and touching, I will definitely try the soup recipe, thanks and I wish you beautiful and happy summer days.🌺🌸🌼
Thank you for showing the Van Gogh exhibit, the falling stars in the starry night etc. Looks lovely. . Relaxing skin care routines and all. The cold soup looks great as It's 98* Fahrenheit here during the day! I'm lost on Celsius! Relaxing garden Petit Dejeuner with Sophie. Your vids are calming .
I’ve been traveling for the last 2 weeks and this Sunday afternoon I’m just catching up on your last coupe of vlogs. Like you, I have the same self care routine in order to rejuvenate myself after several late nights of partying. Getting a good nights sleep, lots of water and a skin care routine does the trick. We have the Van Gogh exhibition/experience here in LA. When my friend invited me to join him I was a bit skeptical. I’ve seen Van Gogh’s work in many museums and learned about his tormented life and mental illness. In spite of or because of Van Gogh was able to produce incredible and evocative works of art. We were at the exhibit for several hours taking in all the images superimposed on the surroundings walls and the accompanying music made it a total “experience”. The cold soup you had seemed easy to make and looked delicious. And, enjoying it in your outdoor garden bathed in sunlight is another wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing your day. Stay well. 👍🙏😎
I've avoided the van gogh exhibit because I'm very sensitive to crowds and when I'm trying to relax and immerse myself. If I could do it alone, I would!
Thank you for sharing your trip to the museum for the Van Gogh Alive exhibit. Immersion art is a moving experience. Your whole being feels like a part of the art piece. As I believe the artist intended us to experience his art. The Mediterranean Summer soup looks tasty. Cold soup is great on a hot summer day. Have a lovely week.
I have to tell you that when you showed the remake of the kitchen I thought you went crazy, but it dose look much better the white tile looks nice, I understand that it is temporary and isn't as strong as tile but is the bomb
Really enjoyed this lay back episode. I myself went to the Melbourne Convention Center a few days ago to "LUME" the identical Van Gogh experience. It was moving and of curse his story is so sad and tragic.
Nicolas, watching you enjoy your lunch, are we related?? Just kidding but I do everything to the max. Many years ago I had a great loss, and because of it I looked at my life and thru out all of the coffee mugs that were unmatched and glasses, you get the picture. I had beautiful china and Glassware and I now use it for every day. You only live once and it's not a dress rehearsal. I only live with luxury in my life. Life is too short, enjoy every minute. Glad to see it in your life, some times it takes time to get everything correct but you will do it... Enjoy! 🌹
Always so nice to see you. I have seen the Van Gogh exhibit twice. The first time was at the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, FL, and the second time here in Atlanta. I have always loved Van Gogh's art and the first time I saw the exhibit I was so touched I was close to tears. It is breath taking to see. I agree with you how very sad it is that he never was accepted as an artist while alive but has soared after death. Such a sad story. I read Lust for Life by Irving Stone when I was a teenager and I literally fell across my bed sobbing when he cut off his ear. I have tickets for the Monet exhibit in August. Looking forward to an equally moving experience. Enjoy your exciting week and I can't wait till next Sunday to enjoy it.
Hi Nicholas. I love using masks and have started using spf 50 daily, even if I'm not going out. It's so nourishing. I love eating outdoors too and will definitely be making your soup recipe. Have a lovely week ahead and see you next Sunday!
I also went to see the van Gogh exhibit here in North Carolina, USA. Not only were the pictures and the digital reproductions so moving but the music added so much to the entire experience! Absolutely loved it!
Your vlogs are always uplifting and inspirational. They inspire one to find beauty in all our actions and to try to make everything an occasion. I always feel that Van Gogh was ahead of his time and misunderstood. Lovely spending time with you. Take care.
Remember the neck and decolletage! It's nice to see a young man take care of his skin 😻. I've always told my young adult kids (girl, boy) to clean face morning and night ... Methinks they don't 85% of the time 😖.
Ooooh Sheila I bet that was wonderful. I also love to look at Van Goughs work. I didn't know he had a brother. How interesting 🤔
My pleasure! Thank you!
thanks for the wisdom
Botox is a best thing ever 😁👍. There is no such thing as graceful aging 🙈
Your garden is gorgeous! The additional "value" you bring to your life by eating and drinking from beautiful glassware is superb.
I'd be eating out there if I had a garden like that, too.
Thank you so much, I'm so happy you think so!
Hi Nicolas!
I'm Spanish.
You can also add an apple to the salmorejo instead of bread, it makes it healthier and the taste is almost the same!
Thank you for the video, take care
It's very delicious if you add chopped boiled eggs on salmorejo and here we put delicious chopped Spanish jam on it
@@palomadeescayolapena1181 sí Paloma!!! Con jamón está muy rico! La cuestión es que soy vegetariana! Pero lo he comido muchas veces así
good tip - Thank you!

Hello Nicolas, I love Salmorejo, I make it every 3 days and I have it for lunch every day. Some one told me , if you want it to be less calories , substitute the bread with an apple. So nice that you got an opportunity to enjoy London for pleasure and not business! I'm glad you got to have this experience without the pressure of having to do any work related tasks. Beautiful video as always! Take care, friend!
I love the white roses! The Van Gough event is wonderfully entertaining and magical!!
This was so relaxing to watch your skin care was very helpful see you next week
Also we eat it in a plate with boiled eggs cut in little pieces and the bit of oil on top. Try like this you will love it!!!!
The exhibit of Van Gogh's self-portraits earlier this year at the Courtauld was particularly memorable.
Dear Nicolas, thank you for the beautiful video, the exhibition is amazing and touching, I will definitely try the soup recipe, thanks and I wish you beautiful and happy summer days.🌺🌸🌼
Absolutely divine! What a wonderful share. Gracias Nico!
Lovely summer lunch. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful pastel colors and your skin looks marvelous! Bravo!
The Van Gogh exhibit looked absolutely wonderful and the music was exquisite! Enjoy your week!
I love how calming your videos are.
The best kind of day. Total self care where its all about you.👍
I’ve been traveling for the last 2 weeks and this Sunday afternoon I’m just catching up on your last coupe of vlogs.
Your expressions are priceless the mask looks great on you for me I was thinking Halloween lol
I sent the previous message when I first saw you put the mask on but now I’d like to get some I live in California❣️
The Van Gogh art exhibition looked truly amazing !! I could feel the empathy in your voice...
I finally received my tea and it is so delicate and delicious. Thank you so much.
You always inspire me to go do something beautiful.
It is a beautiful exhibition, so beautiful colours and so sad that van Gogh never could inagine how famos his now, thank you for your new Video 🌺🌼🌹🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much for the summer soup idea. Sounds divine and looking forward to trying it. The Van Gogh showing looked amazing.
So glad to hear that! Thank you!
