First, you can have glasses-wearing girls take them off and suddenly become beautiful, or have girls wearing glasses flashing those cute grins, or have girls stealing the protagonist's glasses and putting them on like, "Haha, got your glasses!' That's just way too cute! Also, boys with glasses! I really like when their glasses have that suspicious looking gleam, and it's amazing how it can look really cool or just be a joke. I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of glasses based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those half rim glasses, or the thick frame glasses, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of glasses at a buffet. Wait I thought the answer could’ve been plus or minus bc the square root of 49 can be both positive and negative, the negative symbol in front of it still gives the question two solutions, it is there some jp context that should be considered
The square root is always positive, according to the usual definition. (If you’re looking for both roots, you need to write ±√ ). Sora kinda explains it in the video
The plus/minus thing is generally just a shortcut used to write out the roots of a quadratic equation in one place. In that scenario you'd have x²=49, which is different from x=√49 and has two roots defined as x1=(-b-√D)/2a and x2=(-b+√D)/2a. The plus/minus is then used for convenience so that you can write ±√D instead of duplicating everything else, but it doesn't come from the √ square root itself.
Check out some blackpenredpen videos! He's made multiple explaining this exact thing (including his second most recent video at the moment, explaining common math mistakes), but basically, if you're messing around with an equation and create the square root yourself, then it's +/-. For example, if you're given x^2 = 49 and want to find out what values of x will satisfy the equation (aka, ALL square roots), then it's both -7 and 7. On the other hand, if you're simply given sqrt(x), then it's only the positive root.

Sora (and a few other eldest Holomems) is a legacy of the period when all the VTubers were using (then-) cutting edge 3D models. Debuting as a VTuber used to be much more expensive then. Before the advent of "Live2D" VTuber model packages.
Not really. It's not about the model but the facial/motion capture program they use. Some members who use 3D models when streaming can do the same thing. Miko often does it. Noel, Marine, Kanata, & Lamy also often move their hands when they use their 3D models.

Ok but to clarify, and I know this shouldn’t be what I’m taking away from this clip, the answer was -7 because the negative sign was outside the radical right? Because I was thinking she was going to pull something with imaginary numbers or just say it was a trick question, but then I realized that little detail.
I also realize now that I’ve kind of answered my own question because this clip reminded me of the quadratic formula song my teacher made us listen to and it wouldn’t work unless the answer to the aforementioned question was yes. (I also should really refresh my math stuff either way)

To be fair anything beyond arithmetic doesn't come up often in everyday life. If she already had a shaky grasp after graduating school, it was only gonna get worse from disuse.
Square roots, at least the symbols for it, are not basic math, the logic of it is, but like with a lot of equations, once you through in the symbols and write it out, then it confuses people, even if they know it.
That's not how roots work... You can't have a -ve root because (+)7*(+)7=49, and (-)7*(-)7=49 as well, you can't get a negative answer from these, and since -7 and 7 are different numbers, multiplying them together is not the same as squaring 7 or -7.

By placing a negative before the root, you get the negative value of the root, which is what Sora-chan was saying. Also, in many practical applications (not all, of course), only the positive root is desired.
