Just a quick clean and new belts ... that little Sanyo should play tapes happily for at least another 5 - 10 years or 100,000 km (whichever is the greater). 😎
I find these big 80's personal stereos so brick-like and ugly. Like an Amstrad CPC 464. But they are still so nostalgic. Is it a bad thing to be stuck in the past? Modern technology might be technically better and more accessible than ever before, but it's just so bland. Quirks and differences come from the software, all the hardware is the same thing. Even my modern MP3 player is nothing more than an old smart phone without the phone capabilities.

Absolutely - very well made. Easy to work on and should last for many more years if treated well 😊
