They've been teasing this MV in pretty low key ways for awhile. There was a QR code that led to a sound file filled with muffled sounds, bits of music and ends with a Morse Code msg. There is the 30 minute vid that was available briefly on their channel and after an hour(?) was deleted. Atiny put on their Sherlock Holmes hats and figured out that the location used for parts of this MV is an abandoned mall in District of Bang Lamphu, Bangkok, Thailand. Opened in 1983 and Permanently closed in 2004 due to collapse during demolish the upper extension floors ( 5th - 11th floor || Originally built with 4 floors ). The name of the mall was “ The New World ”. The vid is filled with both visual and sound clues for what is to come in this MV. Including: Morse Code, A bell which sounds every 3 minutes, the sound of wind rushing through, vague images of people on different floors of the location, Hoonjoong's voice, words which appear faintly and then dissolve away. And, the mysterious Bluebird. It is just mind blowing that their PR team came up with this idea. Next level Fu*k*ry. (BTW, when you watch it you have to turn on the CCs to read about some of the lore included as well as a guide to where to look and what to listen for. Very helpful.) Be careful about wearing headphones when watching this. The unexpected sound of the bells scared me quite a few times. The good folks at Bookish Theories have put out a 12 min vid talking about the lore to be found in the mysterious The New World mall vid. You can find that here: th-cam.com/video/B76ASd6GT70/w-d-xo.html . I have no idea if the insights they have completely follow the lore but it certainly seems like it. People with more lore knowledge will have to sort that out. The two teasers also contain clues. I really recommend watching them in order. Pay attention to any alerts they offer about upcoming new releases. 😀 We can't sit back and wait for just their new MVs. They're doing MUCH more subtle and layered PR (since prior to Guerilla) providing more clues than we've typically seen. I don't know where we're going but I'm glad I'm along for the ride. I felt that “what does it mean” after I finished watching this MV too 😂 I’ve been watching others reactions to the MV to see what their opinion is on the storyline because I’ve been confused lol I have some back tracking to do and restarting to understand the ateez lore more 😊
So I believe were saying goodbye to Halateez (burning of the hat and it looked like a burial ground where Wooyoung is) in this video as they were defeated protecting Ateez during Answer: Ode to Joy (kingdom stage) and Halazia is the new hope, (while using the Halateez scarecrow) asking for help to replace the gravity.
