  • I had an issue with the steering of my LS G3038H tractor. Which has the same steering system as the New Holland Boomer 30, Boomer 33, Boomer 37, Workmaster 33, Workmaster 35, Workmaster 37 and Workmaster 40.
Tried replacing the orbital valve, but the issue turned out to be a bend rod in the steering cylinder.

Thanks for the informative video , i have a question about the orbital valve. Could a faulty orbital valve cause a slight intermittent grinding noise when turning the steering wheel at lower RPM? Thanks for any insight you might have

Could you tell that the rod was bent before disassembling the cylinder?

You might be able to. We didn't know that was the problem until we disassembled it. I would take the cylinder off the tractor, then using a triangle/straight edge to see if its bent.

How did you bleed the cylinder after you reinstalled it?

Kind of, I just turned the wheel a bunch of times and that seemed to work.
