New Holland TC30 Spreads Chicken Manure

- The hens are outside and Mom needs the greenhouse space. I found a new use for the little elevator to save labor. Scoop scoop, fling! On a safety note, the hens turned the water on one night and whetted their manure down real good, so no dust.
That tractor can pull more then you think, our 8N pulled Gehl self unloading silage wagons for years. Out of the fields, down the roads and it did a good job. Brakes were horrible on it so there wasn’t any stopping quickly. Keep up the good work, thx !!
I know it can pull, most of the time I run out of weight when moving loaded grain wagons around the barn yard.
On level ground it’s amazing what a small tractor can do. I got flack for small square baling with 175hp. I just say when you get to the end of the hill and have to make that turn down, I would feel better with weight and power. Nice video 👍🏻
Weight is always great on a tractor, and you pay dearly for it. Weight on a human, and no everyone is gone.
I look forward to your videos, and the upcoming growing season. Great job out there!
Thank you
The TC looked to have no issues there! Great little tractors
It was a champ.
Nice big job small tractor happy days.
What ever you end up planting in there should grow pretty good with the chicken manure spread on it ! I haven't spread manure in a long time, Kind of miss doing it. Keep up the great work JB. Bandit
You won't miss spreading manure when the wind is too your back!
LOL that's true, But back in the day it didn't matter what the wind was doing you just spread manure ! LOL Bandit
Amazing what that little tractor can do. I think y’all should get a 9n now lol
Ha, a bit old for me.
our T2320 same thing hitch is low and spreader high but were planning getting a B3350 kubota with its high draw bar
Like my great grandpa always said use your brain not your back that is just brilliant using that elevator
I was very pleased using it. Before I would shovel into wheelbarrows and take them out to the manure pile.
Boehm Farm while your here what the purpose of that little bar at the end of the elevator?
It is for hanging it up instead of resting on the edge of whatever you're filling.
Runs like a top nice work hope to see some more videos
There will always be more, but i don't think I'll have the TC on the spreader for a while.
U sure put that little ford to the limit.good thing for front weights.noticed ur spreader same as my G gel I bought new in 2000 1217 with top beater.replaced a tandam I had.couldnt afford payments on the tandam.the ge hl was 8500.00.
I think you got lucky, because it's a new Holland under ... shoot, they may not have used a different shade of red paint.
Great video
Thank you
TC getting it done! We've got a TC29 and TC33. Both are 4x4 hydrostatic. I think your gear drive probably puts the power on the ground better. Is it a 3x3 syncro transmission? 3 gears with lo-med-hi & reverse in each? Anyhow, that size and age New Holland is a very good tractor other than a couple of little electronic quirks. By the way, you sure get good use out of that little aluminum elevator. That is handy as a shirt pocket! Good Vid!
Yep, its a 9 speed with dependent pto. It's gets a little annoying for mowing grass not having an independent pto. But I don't want a hydro for all the silage wagons we pull. We have been through three ignition switches and three starters.
Ours like to blow a fuse in a plug to the starter. We have been through several ignition switches as well.
Nice weather at your place here in Ontario Canada it's snow storm
yep, then we had a few flakes a couple days later.
I enjoyed your video. I have several tractors. A TC30 is one of them. I am especially interested in your conveyor. Can you tell me anything about it? Maker, model, etc. Thanks again for sharing
It's a harvest handler made by the belt corporation of Ohio. I have no clue if they still exist.
Love you video
Thank you
I wish I could be chisel plowing 😂. Nevermind I'm going to chisel plow 🤣🤣🤣
That's a nice little Muck Spreader, Jacob what would be you Choice of older Ford for the Farm if you pick any one .My Guess would be an 8210 4wd ? Thanks for the Video. Regards David
I really want a TW or an 8*30 with dual power, not the powershift; Ican't afford to fix that. An 8210 would be nice, also.
I had a 1982 TW30 and a County 1004 they were both real nice Tractors . But unfortunately they had to be sold to raise money for the Divorce. But I know where they are and I plan to buy them back one day .
i would die to get my hands on a County.
I've always tried to by Classic Fords as there's no depreciation I sold the TW 30 for 75% more than I paid for it , and the County for Exactly double what I paid. That really keeps your machinery costs Down in the long run . I also had a more modern 7840 4wd which I had for 5 years and sold for £1,000 more than I paid . And the only thing it had in that time was a water pump. Your 6610 should be going up in value . They certainly are in the UK
Those were bedded with the wood pellet material too?? Looks like it breaks up really well. Any problems with it breaking down or tying up nutrients in the soil for awhile until the wood breaks down?? I've heard that wood chips/sawdust spread on land can tie up nitrogen and stuff until the wood fiber breaks down, think the bacteria grab it to use to break down the wood material. Just curious. Course, time release nitrogen ain't exactly a bad thing, either... particularly if you're using a starter fertilizer and either putting out most of the fertilizer pre-plant or later on sidedressed. Might work real good if the "time release" part kicks in around the time it's setting grain... beats foliar feeding or Y-dropping or other more expensive methods! Later! OL J R :)
I bedded with picked over silage from the cattle troughs. The hens picked out what they wanted then 💩 on the rest.
@@boehmfarm4276 Ah okay looked real good... thought it was the wood pellets half dissolved you mentioned. Good use for silage the cows won't eat... OL J R :)
👏
looks like it worked just fine.
Everything can go right on a sunny day.
Why weren't you using a international?
Or, what was the other Ford hooked up too?
The IH's are plenty overkill for the spreader. And I just picked the TC that morning to move the spreader around to the greenhouse. I didn't plan on spreading with it.
That little tractor handled the spreader fine. Have you ever hauled pen pack with that tractor?
No, that's when thins would be dicey. I always pile up the cow poop since I have the bucket loader. The front of the tc would be in the air.
Your poor camera really took one for the team in that video! lol
It was in the case.
what size motor is on that manure elevator?
Um, I'll guess 3/4 horse.
Good tunes
Thank you
Can someone please tell me what year that tc30 is
2004
hauling manure to distant fields good tractor to save fuel
Did you shoot this on GoPro Hero 7?
This is a Hero 4
Did you wash that camera or plastic bag it ?
It's in its water tight case.
DId not look like a heavy wet load like dairy or hogs lol so not a problem for ya and i run a Red Version of the TC being a DX 55 Farmall which is a great machine for loader and pto work and a much better tractor than the new LS Sourced Tractors that CNH uses now
And that is the reason kubota is gaining market share.... Big US manufacturers don't care about that small tractor market. But those people are the ones with too much money burning a hole in their pocket and ten acres while they work in the city.
Boehm Farm yes totally understand that and Kubota most likely will be painting the versatile tractor orange and calling it theirs soon
I could see that happening. Versatile has been tossed around, but making good tractors despite not keeping an owner.
@@boehmfarm4276 Yup.... that was always the nice things about the Fords, and why we always bought and ran Fords... they were a nice, basic, well put together, no frills, and inexpensive to buy and maintain tractor. Just a nice basic workhorse for what you were spending. None of the fancy stuff like other makes that drove the price up. NH has forgotten that... well, I guess FIAT has now forgotten that LOL:) Now the Mahindra is the "cheap, basic tractor". Boehm Ford in Shiner is selling Mahindra's mostly now despite being a NH dealer... NH got too expensive and too "complicated" compared to the old Fords they replaced. The TN's and stuff, I see a lot of highway department shredder crews running them, but very few farmers. They don't hold up like the old Fords did, either. Cab NH tractors are about as expensive as Deere or CIH or anything else, so there's no real advantage to choosing blue over them, honestly... Mahindra has em beat on price and Kubota and plenty of others are moving into that market and pretty much have squeezed a lot of the "big tractor companies" out of the small end of the market, because they forgot how to build a low-cost tractor for that end of the market! Now Kubota is looking to muscle in on the bigger tractor market as well. Later! OL J R :)
That's got to smell real good in that greenhouse you break the seal on that manure and the eyes start to water that will grow some corn
I must be nose blind, because I didn't think it was too bad.
I dearly love my 8n
👍👌🇨🇦❤
Are you wearing just a T-shirt out doors today ? ?
yes, this was the day before everyone was snowed on.
chicken poop thats good for hay ground too.
According to my Uncle Jim, it's good for your complexion too.
MacGyver, 2.0.
we have a ford 2120 (45hp) looks like an older version of your TC30 but we always spread manure with it and we were planting with it and that weigth around 3.5 ton (yea it has a lifting capacity upgrade)
(here a pic of the machines it lifts twitter.com/marijn130202/status/826456068469485568)
A 2120 is a little bigger too. It's a four cylinder version of the Japanese fords. I would say it's almost competitive with our 2810.
Boehm Farm yea looked on the internet and it looks like a ford 2120 is a bigger brother from the tc30
