Alcatraz Road Trip 1998

In 1998 I had just bought a new video camera (a Canon XL1) and took a road trip
up to the San Francisco area to try the camera out.
I boarded the ferry to Alcatraz Island and spent about 3 hours on the island shooting
the old buildings, textures and the history. On the way into the administration building
I met Frank Heaney who was the youngest guards on Alcatraz when it was open as a
Prison. He signed a book I purchased from the souvenir shop.
