Not that hard. It's one of the vocal warm-up exercises that I got from my vocal specialist. More like a party trick, in this arena. I can do about 22 seconds. (he's doing much less than that). (When I was really in practice, I could do 30 or even 32 on some notes). I'm a guess he's doing well for his age. Kind of an annoying sound :) When I do it, it seems to constrict my throat, which lets the air out slowly...so can go for a while.
