Hello Phil, it depends on the size of your dog. I have both big dogs and medium size dogs. For the big dogs, I use a 2' x 3' board. For the smaller dogs, I use an 18" x 24" board. What ever size you build, suggest you make at least two. You'll want to go from board to board with certain commands.
Great 3 part series, second time watching!
Glad you're enjoying this series.
Great video!

@@BirdDogsAfield OK thanks I am getting a female wirehaired pointing griffon May 4th. I think they are considered a medium breed???
@@BirdDogsAfield Also I want to build a Whoa table with the ramps. Is 2ft wide by 8 ft long a good size? Plus it will have 2 ramps 2ft x 4 ft
@@bowhunterphil, I would build 2 x 3 for a Griffon.
@@bowhunterphil, that's exactly the size that we have. Some professional trainers prefer a 12' long table. More room to work.
What’s the pro’s and con’s of teaching whoa on a place board as opposed to a whoa “post”? Cheers
Both are good.
Why do you use the word place instead of whoa?
awesome
