    Why you find yourself thinking about food all day? All you seem to think about is food, eating, what to eat, how to prepare it, how many calories it is, is it healthy? What can cause this kind of preoccupation with food and how to fix it?

    Honestly I am not really sure what to do if my food obsession subsided, I don't know what I would do with all the time I would have suddenly.

    I can definitely identify with this. I keep changing my mind about what to have for all meals; balancing it out with how much exercise I've done during the day. I think about food during my time at work and funnily enough I look forward to my meals if I've done my workouts as I've earned the meal. I've been Anorexic and now I'd say I have an undefined eating disorder - EDNOS? Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified. I'm obsessed with peanut butter based meals as I adore that food with a passion, but only have it at weekends.

    This is so tiring, I feel like I'm trapped and can't get out of there. I went through anorexia then now bulimia and I freaking binge A LOT. I don't know what to do I tried so many times to feel my hunger cusses and my mental hunger but I feel like it's difficult to understand those feelings and if I'm really hungry or this is just the binge.
    Also sometimes I say okay if you feel it you'll have it and I do have it but I look at my friends eat without troubles I feel sad I keep asking myself why can't you do just like them!? I keep crying hoping someone helps me get out of this.

      Omg I totally feel the same! I ask myself constantly “are you really hungry or is this just your brain or soul wanting food”, at some points in the last months I had the feeling that this question is only making it worse cause for my brain it feels like another restriction, so I tried to simply eat when I think about certain foods however I’m sacred that I’m gaining so much more weight as I already have...🙇🏻‍♀️ this is a struggle 🤦🏻‍♀️ how is it going by you? I would be glad to hear from you! ☺️

    About 4 months into recovery and still having food cravings. They come and go meaning they go from light to intense. Lately I've been having intense and specific food cravings. It comes down to texture, sweet/salty, hot/cold and fats. I'm going to see if honoring all of these mental hunger cues and taking in the highest/calorie dense foods will help. Thanks for this video Elisa! :)

    • @kmoy
      @kmoy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jasmine _ doing well!! Thank you!! I don’t think about food as much. Where do I start? I have 3 meals a day with snacks. I don’t count calories. I don’t have the intense food cravings anymore. I do have cravings for specific foods and when I do, I go have them. I’d say it helped a lot to go for the caloric dense foods. Now I don’t constantly think about and dream about having decadent foods. Now that I have had them, I don’t crave them. Sounds silly but it’s true. I never thought I’d get this far. Some days can be tough especially since we are now on quarantine in the house. I still eat 3 meals a day no matter what. I also exercise and move because I like how I feel after and not just to lose weight or look at certain way. How are you?

      @@kmoy I'm glad to hear that you doing well! Thank you so much for sharing your story ❤️ I'm not good. I'm in the phase want to eat EVERYTHING especially junk foods (i come from orthorexia + restricted) Sometimes I'm full but still want eat more 😩 I don't care about my weight anymore but I still fear that I can't stop eating unhealthy stuffs 😣

    • @kmoy

      Jasmine _ I’m proud of how far you’ve come! This is great. Slow and steady changes are better. Sounds like you are working hard and making progress. With the unhealthy foods or junk foods. Try not to label them as good or bad see if that helps. All foods have nutrients that we need whether it be fats, carbs, proteins, etc. As a woman I find I need more fats in my day to help me keep satiated. I did a test to see. I fell asleep easier if I took in more fats during the day. If I didn’t, my brain would be telling me to eat. Listen to your body. Pick one food a week. Then one food a day to add to your day and see how you feel. I’d you’re thinking about the food it means your body is trying to tell you it needs a nutrient. Good luck. And I hope you continue. Progress not perfection as they say. It takes time. You got this :)
