Please with the unoccupied bed,why did you use long machintoch first before button sheet
With any type of bed, if the mattress isn't covered with a rubber material (naked mattress) then you have to begin with a long mackintosh. So I did this particular one to represent what is done when the mattress doesn't have a rubber covering.

For the unoccupied bed aren't you supposed to leave an opening (right or left side) for the patient
No that is rather for 'occupied bed'. Because it is occupied, it is expected that the patient was asked to leave the bed for it to be laid. Hence you have to leave that space for easy entry of the patient back into the bed.

Why the long makintosh
When the mattress is not covered with a rubber (necked mattress) u always start with a long mackintosh to protect the entire mattress.
Note that these days all hospital mattresses (if I'm not mistaken) are encased in a rubber/plastic material hence u won't have to use the long mackintosh at the beginning of the task.
