    Why doesn't anyone ever talk about the golems in the Thaig?
    I've always heard the bullshit explanations about how they're Caradin's or just a plothole or some BS.
    I was watching a DA: O playthrough recently and even Caradin's own notes say the Anvil was a "vision from the ancestors". I've always believed that he re-discovered a lost art, due to the Thaig. And the Sha Britol only further confirmed that theory for me. Caradin's overlooked note in Origins for me are just the final nail in the coffin.

      I like what you're saying. Valta mentioned that the Sha-Brytol must have a thaig somewhere to create their armor so why couldn't they have created other things like golems? I think the confusion with the golems is the reuse of assets so what might not be the Caridin's brand of golems can't be distinguished from something that House Valdasine or the Shal-Brytol could've made. With that said, the engines that created DAO, DA2, and DAI as well as the design concepts were all different so what we have to go on is simply how the golems got there and that's a wild guess.

    Many things in DA:I and The Descent DLC hinted at lyrium being the conduit through which the life-essence of everything flows. Red lyrium could well be stagnant life-essence, mad souls forever trapped in lyrium, unable to reincarnate because the lyrium veins they flowed through were cut from the system... and that reminds me of The Gangue Shade codex entry.

      Yes, especially when the Titans were originally connected with the Fade. There is a life cycle that got disrupted for sure! Love what you said. Thank you

      @Saeybin Under Fire With the references to Lyrium being Titan blood it makes me wonder if Red Lyrium could have been created from somebody using blood magic on the lyrium or using the lyrium to perform blood magic and thus corrupting it? Ludonauta's comment about the connection to the fade and souls passing through lyrium made me think of this due to the color of the corrupted lyrium being red, blood is red, and isn't blood magic centered around harnessing the lifesource of yourself or others? I imagine the lifesource of a titan could be used to perform some seriously powerful magic I.E. possibly how Solas was able to accomplish seemingly impossible things in the past? Or even maybe the original source of all the elven gods power? Banded together to slay a titan and divided up the power between them? Red Lyrium could also just be dead titan blood since blood is blue when we are alive and turns red when we die, so the other regular blue lyrium is still somehow connected to a living but sealed or slumbering Titan? This was a lot longer than I intended but please let me know what you think! Thank you for diving into all this cool lore, can't wait for the next game!

      @@connarwint7355 Thank you for watching! The red in lyrium could imply blood, either enchanted into the blue lyrium vein like passing on a virus or that blue turned red after the Evanirus killed a couple of titans. I'm still wondering who's blood and what type of magic. Could it be dragon blood that was used to cast the magic or elven blood? Either way, Solas implied that there's nothing wrong with blood magic if used ethically but standards might be different. Solas does exhibit magic that no other mage seems to have like Petrified and Blight magic. It'll be interesting to figure out how he derived with those arcane magic. I do suspect like you that it has to do with the Titans - petrified = stone, blight = blue lyrium+effective immortality

    I'm loving these videos!! It's fun to hear other people theorize about these games, especially as we wait for DA:D!!

    You guys dance around how lyrium got Blighted without talking about the theory that killing (or severely injuring) a Titan may have done it. It's crazy to me that we had access to Flemeth and _still don't know_ how Blight started; which came first, red lyrium or the Blight. I could make a compelling case for either, depending on what, exactly, Blight IS.
    Great vid!

      Thank you and yeah, we had a 4-hour conversation that I had to trim down. We were trying very hard to focus on the Primeval Thaig lol. Killing titan is a video all on its own 🙃There's literally about an hour of footage on the cutting room floor!

    What would be the possibility of Old Gods being the Forgotten Ones?

    • @SaeybinUnderFire
      @SaeybinUnderFire  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the question.
      In Dalish legends, the Forgotten Ones were said to be many while Tevinter presents us with only 7 Old Gods, potentially 8. Unless the Old Gods can split their essences like Mythal, I'm not so certain they are the Forgotten Ones. If you've done the Dark Ritual with Morrigan in DAO for you to encounter the old god baby Kieren in DAI, he held the essence of Urthemiel and there was only one of them.
      What Saria and I believe to be a good probability is that the Forgotten Ones were the ancient dwarves prior to the war with the Titans or prior to the founding of the dwarven empire.
