This was so cool! Especially going through the timeline and trying to force it to make sense. Which, the idea being that ancient history will get muddied over time normally. I hope we get more information from some quarter in DA4.
Stumbling on your hannel for the new year has been an absolute blessing. I am loving these deep dives you're doing with other Dragon Age loreheads, and am very much looking forward to what else you have planned for us. About the Red Lyrium idol and how it can be used as a weapon. Is it possible it has something to do with Andruil? Solas tells us she was was a goddess of sacrifice, so the mages using it to kill slaves in rituals might have been right up there with why it was crafted. Andruil also wore armor of the Void, so it wouldn't be too out there if she also smithed weapons from it. The codex entry also tells us that the gods feared Andruil would hunt them in turn. All this to say that the reason the idol might be capable of defeating the 'Fell Wolf' (and perhaps other Evanuris) is because it was specifically crafted for the purpose of slaying/sacrificing gods.
Thank you for watching and joining the channel!! I'm currently editing the 2nd part of our discussion of the Primeval Thaig video which mentions Andruil and her being in the void but you said it so succinctly that it just may be a weapon to kill gods or even conduct a ritual that eradicates corruption within them.
That's an interesting thought. Dwarves are generally scared of dragons, even the Cloudgazers (surface dwarves). Approaching the dwarves as dragons would not foster a trade relationship. What wasn't said is that some dwarven settlements were dragon "caves" at one point so maybe the Valdasine family not only found or saw dragons there but what it's hoarding (the lyrium)?
@@SaeybinUnderFire but remember the cultists. All those dragons were underground in caves. Dragons den. So I wonder if dwarves weren't always afraid of the sky, and of dragons. Their fear might have had a very real cause, and beginning.
This is a cool video. Also, huge fan of my friend, Lethalan. I'm actually playing DA2 now and I was up to the primeval thaig. So good timing on your part. This place really similar to the place we see in the descent DLC. In fact, my theory has been that the red lyrium idiol is the heart of the titan that lived in the primeval thaig. i'll just leave it there. =)
Thank you so much! If it's the same Lathallan TV channel you're referring to, they do amazing work! Your theory is very possible since the Evanirus did take down a couple of titans and made the others sleep. Dagna mentions that they feel mountain high when working with lyrium so they couldbe as tall and wide as the whole Vinmark Mountain.
@@SaeybinUnderFire Lethalan is just my nickname for Saria =)I've been following her since 2017-18. It means friend or someone you're familiar with in elven. If you remember the heart of the titan in the descent dlc. I believe someone severed one of those and it became the idol. Whether on it's own or forged into that. But whatever happened it was the heart of the titan that lived in Sundermount. Who,what why or how is too much tinfoil for a comment.

Wait for part 2, hehe.

Well done video Saeybin! i had so much fun tinfoiling with you about this Thaig!
Likewise Saria! Would love to tinfoil with you again.
yay =)
AND, you have made me wonder if the elves approached the dwarves for their lyrium initially IN the form of a dragon.
