    Stunning-- a spectacular example of your shop's superior work. This must be a very happy customer, indeed! I agree completely with you about the quality and tone of older pianos, owing to the craftsmanship of those days, yes, and also to the higher quality of wood available then. A similar comparison (between old and new) is seen today in home construction. Thank you very much.

    Serial number does date it to circa 1974. This is right in the middle of the 20+ year period of Baldwin's ownership of the C.Bechstein company.

      Thanks for pointing out the incorrect date; has been corrected now. I didn't realise that Baldwin owned Bechstein at that time. Marcus

    Marcus: Intro says 1974? Which would seem correct for a 'milky' polyester.
    -But title says 1926?
