Shop Hack - Cord Reel

You have to somehow put bearings on the inside bottom of the paint can so the cord reel frame can spin, but the end of the cord on top stays stationary. If this sounds wrong, it's because im having difficulty finding the right words to describe what I mean.

I've put bearings on the spool, it is really the same I think.

Find someone/a store that will rent out the tool for you. Or (if your lucky) see if your community has a good local makers group or a makerspace where you can use the community power tools
While it’s better to invest in tools in the long term, If you real just want to do a one off project this might be a good option for you.
